He has played his fair share of romantic heroes during his movie career - from Jamie Bennett in Love Actually to Mr Darcy in the BBC adaptation of Pride And Prejudice. But last night Colin Firth played the real life Prince Charming as he came to Meryl Streep's rescue at the Bafta awards. The actor, who was presenting Miss Streep with the Best Actress award for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady, leapt into action as her shoe flew off as she made her way to the podium to pick up her prize.
