DOWNTON Abbey star Allen Leech has said that he is fascinated by Shirley MacLaine’s life.
The actor, who plays Irish chauffeur Tom Branson in the hit ITV1 period drama, has been working with the legendary actress on the third series of Downton.
He said: “She was absolutely amazing and just a life force.”
Allen said that when the Hollywood star, now 78, arrived on set the first morning and started filming he was “just drawn into it”.
He said: “It’s a living legend, you know, like Maggie (Smith) as well.
