Superman actor Henry Cavill has opened up about the intensity of his diet and fitness regime to get his body in shape for Man of Steel. Henry has had to put his body through some very tough workouts, as well as having to consume around 5,000 calories a day.
Cavill explained, “I have been put through the ringer big time. An example of the workouts we’ve been doing, it was 100 front squats of body weight. There are kettle-bell workouts. It’s very hard work.”
And to be fair, it appears that all the hard work has paid off, as Henry Cavill certainly appears to be in good shape to pass for Superman in the Man of Steel movie. There had been a few complaints about using an English actor to play the character but both Henry and Man of Steel director Zack Snyder insist that they have done a great job.
