Despite rumors to the contrary, Benedict Cumberbatch's new "Star Trek" villain will not be Khan. That was made quite clear by "Star Trek Into Darkness" actress Alice Eve, as she walked the red carpet for the BAFTAs on Sunday (video embedded).
Succinctly, she said "He's not playing Khan."
Rumors have flown about the identity of Cumberbatch's new villain. There has been little clarity to this point. At the time of this writing, IMDB still lists his character as "Khan (rumored)."
Although it's been revealed that Cumberbatch would be playing John Harrison, it has thought that the name might be a cover. Still, earlier, Simon Pegg (Scotty) said the villain would not be Khan.
