Giving Michael Caine the Props He Deserves

The best thing about Interstellar, in my opinion, was Michael Caine. So why aren't more people talking about his performance?

Even if you haven't seen the movie, it's worth listening to him recite selected lines from Dylan Thomas' poem "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night," which may be found in at least one of the trailers. I've included one below.


He's magnificent, isn't he? What a professional. And he elevated this film significantly, though it needed all he could muster.



I'm thinking an Oscar nod wouldn't be out of the question. But are Academy voters doing the same?
