Benedict Cumberbatch Confirms ‘Sherlock’ Season 4 And Season 5, ‘I Could Get In Trouble For Saying That’

Fans are clamoring for the return of BBC One’s hit show Sherlock, which heads into the third season, but may be pleased with the rumor that two more seasons are coming.

“We’ve agreed to two more series but I could get into trouble for saying that,” revealed Cumberbatch when asked about a fourth season. “All I know at the moment is I’m doing these three [episodes of the upcoming series] and another three.”

Cumberbatch and co-star Freeman teased SDCC fans that more was coming with a fourth season being certain.

The “incredible” villain for season 3 will be played by Lars Mikkelsen.
