They were one of the last couples to arrive, but Benedict Cumberbatch and pregnant Sophie Hunter certainly came first in the style stakes.
The couple opted for a sleek black look, with Benedict in a bespoke tuxedo by Alexander McQueen and a midnight blue bow tie and Sophie in a halterneck gown with a peephole slit, and stand out diamond earrings.
They didn't hang around long on the red carpet on Sunday night, as the BAFTA nominated actor said it was a little too cold to leave his pregnant fiancée outside the Royal Opera House for too long.
'I was filming [Sherlock] until 4pm and then I went to pick Sophie up though she's probably freezing down there!' he told the Associated Press.
