Daniel Radcliffe covers Parade (Just Jared)

Daniel Radcliffe Covers 'Parade'

Daniel Radcliffe takes over the cover of this weekend’s Parade magazine.

The 22-year-old actor, who just finished up his run in How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, chats love, marriage and fear. Check it:

On girlfriend, Rosie: “When Rosie’s here, every day seems better….I’m not an easy person to love.

There are lots of times when I’m a very good boyfriend, but there are times when I’m useless. I mean, I’m a mess around the house. I talk nonstop. I become obsessed with things. This year it’s fantasy football, which means Rosie has to listen to me talking 24 hours a day about this team. ‘Should I take this player out, do you think, darling?’ And she listens to it, and she loves me for my oddness, my awkwardness, all of those things that I hate about myself. She finds them cute. I guess that’s love.”

On his success going away one day: “Yes. But it’s reality, not fear. It will happen, and I have accepted that. In a way it’s a great relief that I will never, ever do a film as successful as the Harry Potter series. But neither will anybody else. [laughs] Or it will take them a long time.”

On marriage: “When growing up, I thought of marriage as being very official, drawing up a contract. It seemed slightly clinical to me. But then you meet somebody that you really love and you think, ‘Actually, I wouldn’t mind standing up in front of my friends and family and telling them how much I love you and that I want to be with you forever.”

Gerard Butler has said that he will "be a little more careful" about future roles after his surfing accident while filming On Men and Mavericks.

The 42-year-old was hospitalized in December when a wave knocked him over and dragged him across a reef on location in California.

"Many times I've found myself in positions I shouldn't be in. I was underwater for a long time and I remember thinking, 'This is crazy'," he recalled to The Mirror.

"I don't mind taking bumps and bruises but then you think, 'Hang on a minute, this is my life!' I should be a little more careful when I'm choosing my roles... I'd still like to be around in a few years!"

Butler previously insisted that reports of his accident "were not exaggerated", describing it as a genuinely "close call".

Of Men and Mavericks opens in US cinemas on October 26, 2012.

Meryl Streep: 'Movie industry wants to sell toys and games' (Digital Spy)

Published Monday, Dec 19 2011, 2:23am EST | By Kate Goodacre | Add comment
Meryl Streep has said that she thinks the movie industry discourages "intelligent, discerning people" from being a part of its audiences.

The multi award-winning actress argued that major films concentrate on people who "buy toys and games" in an interview for CBS News magazine show 60 Minutes.

When correspondent Morley Safer commented on how Hollywood concentrates on themes of "comic strips... vampires [or] gross behavior," Streep said: "That's called the narrowing of the audience.

"The movie business has worked very assiduously to discourage you and other intelligent, discerning people from the theater, from the movie theater," she added as Safer laughed. "They have worked hard to get rid of you, because you don't go then and buy toys and games."

However, Streep added that she believes that the quality of acting is now "better than in the classic days" of the movie industry.

She also expressed her preference for working on "movies that have a little budget", explaining that this is because she dislikes shooting the same scene several times and that low-budget films cannot afford to do this.

Streep will next be seen playing former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady, which is released on January 6, 2012 in the UK and January 13, 2012 in the US.

ugh Jackman has raised more than $1m (£640,000) for the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS charity campaign.

The actor has joined many stage stars in auctioning memorabilia from his new one man show Back on Broadway.

He revealed the fundraising milestone on Twitter over the weekend, writing: "2nite at the show we passed the $1million mark 4 funds raised for #broadwaycares!!! Thx 2 all who have participated (sic)"

Jackman has brought in the most money of any Broadway performer by auctioning shirts he's worn during his show.

Daniel Radcliffe also was a top fundraiser during his tenure in How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying by generating $325,935 (£208,598).

The Broadway industry in total has raised over $4.9m (£3.1m) to help those in need since beginning the charity drive.

Jackman has been starring in Back on Broadway since October, but will close the show on January 1, 2012.

The X-Men actor recently joked that his young daughter Ava thinks his stage show is boring.

Caught & Social: Watson steals the show

She may not have a starring role in the film, but Emma Watson was the star of the red carpet last night at the premiere of My Week with Marilyn. The actress was joined by fellow Brit actor Eddie Redmayne for the gala showing of the film, which follows a visit by Marilyn Monroe to the UK in 1956 to work on the film The Prince and the Showgirl with Sir Laurence Olivier. Also there last night was director Simon Curtis and his wife Elizabeth McGovern, who has become one of the most recognisable faces on British TV thanks to her part in the period soap Downton Abbey.

Scene & heard

Mickey Rourke has dropped out of the gangster film Seven Psychopaths in style – by attacking its Oscar-winning director, Martin McDonagh, and a producer. “The director was a jerkoff. He wanted a whole lot for nothing,” Rourke told Moviefone last week. “ He can go play with himself.”In an earlier interview with the Toronto Star, he said: “I’m not doing it. The producer’s an a*****e. You can put that in big quotes.”

Also angry is Adrian Chiles, blames “dark forces”for the early announcement that he and co-host Christine Bleakley had been sacked from ITV’s Daybreak. “We were assured we could go with our dignity intact,”he told People. “ That’s obviously not happened… Dark forces have leaked it for their own ends and I am mightily unhappy about it.”

Even Delia Smith is talking about arguing, specifically with her husband Michael Wynn Jones. “He likes to cook, and that’s the cause of a lot of arguments,”she tells the Mail on Sunday. “It’s very hard to watch someone not doing it properly…”

Shared effort, shared reward

Having shared the roles of the Creature and Frankenstein in Frankenstein, Jonny Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch shared the glory last night as they picked up the award for (joint) best actor at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards in London. Also sharing an award (with himself) was the writer Richard Bean, as his works The Heretic and One Man, Two Guvnors split the honours. Sheridan Smith was named best actress for her role in Flare Path, while Kristin Scott Thomas won the Lebedev Special Award in recognition of her recent work on the stage. There was also a spot of spousal struggle in the best newcomer category, as Kyle Soller edged out his wife Phoebe Fox to win.

Property from Keira Knightley film London Boulevard for sale

FindaProperty.com loves nothing more than settling in to watch the latest crime caper movie. And it’s even better if said flick features some tasty property shots. Good news for us then, that the posh West London gaff where Keira Knightley was “minded” by Colin Farrell in 2010′s British geezer film London Boulevard is now up for sale.

For those who haven’t yet seen the film, Knightley’s Charlotte is an uber famous starlette who hides out in her West London home (Holland Park in the film, but Notting Hill in real life) and hires Mitchell (Farrell), an East London ex-con, to protect her from the aggressive paps who harangue her every turn. Oh, and the film, also starring Ray Winstone, comes over a bit The Bodyguard in parts if you know what we mean.
The two bedroom Botts Mews flat, which was used to depict part of Charlotte’s home in the film and in which, erm, Mitchell well … actually we’d rather not say (far be it from us to be the spoiler), is now on sale through Strutt and Parker for £550,000.
