Kate Middleton, Prince William & Prince Harry Rock Out—Royal Style Mon., Jun. 4, 2012 4:42 PM PDT by BRUNA NESSIF (E ON LINE)

The royals know how to have a good time.

It's not as crazy as some of their other outings, but Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry still enjoyed themselves during a pop concert at Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee today—just look at those faces!

So who did they jam out to?

Robbie Williams opened the show with his version of "Let Me Entertain You," which the three musketeers seemed to enjoy—how thrilled does Kate look waving her flag in the air?! Will.i.am and Jessie J followed up with the Black Eyed Peas hit "I Gotta Feeling."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and company also enjoyed the sounds of Paul McCartney, Tom Jones and Stevie Wonder.

Later on, comedian Lenny Henry and the crowd welcomed the queen—who strutted a gold cocktail dress with Swarovski crystals—to the royal box. She was escorted to her seat by Prince Charles and his wife Camilla.

'Stevie Wonder Is A Genius', Says Sir Paul McCartney

Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has told of his praise for Stevie Wonder, after the pair recorded a song together – 30 years after they worked together on hit single ‘Ebony and Ivory’.

The pair have bashed out a new track for McCartney’s new album ‘Kisses on the Bottom’, his 15th solo record which is set to hit shelves on February 6th. The new track, entitled ‘Only Our Hearts’, is only of only two tracks actually written by McCartney, but he enlisted the help of legendary singer and pianist Stevie Wonder – who McCartney described as a ‘genius’.

Speaking of the collaboration, Macca said: “Stevie came along to the studio in LA and he listened to the track for about ten minutes and he totally got it. He just went to the mic and within 20 minutes had nailed this dynamite solo. When you listen you just think, 'How do you come up with that?' But it's just because he is a genius, that's why.”

Paul McCartney’s “Kisses on the Bottom” Not as Gross as it Sounds! (Waleg)

When I read the title of Paul McCartney’s latest album I thought it was gross! Couldn’t he think of any other title than “Kisses on the Bottom?” Yup that is the title. Are you grossed out too? It seems there’s no need to be because the origin of that title is actually wholesome!

McCartney himself explained in his website that it’s from the song made famous by Fats Waller in 1935 “I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Love Letter.” Some of the song’s lines go like this “I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter and make believe it came from you; I'm gonna write words oh so sweet. They're gonna knock me off of my feet. A lot of kisses on the bottom, I'll be glad I got 'em.” Now are you convinced the title’s not gross?
“Kisses on the Bottom” is the first album where McCartney doesn’t play any instrument at all! Instead he’s backed by Diana Krall’s band. Music greats like Stevie Wonder and Eric Clapton also appear in the album. His latest album has been around you know. It was recorded in three cities: Los Angeles, New York and London with producers Tommy LiPuma and Diana Krall backing it up.

Excited to hear what’s inside? “Kisses on the Bottom” contains 14 hits including 2 original songs “My Valentine” and “Only Our Hearts.” If you opt for the deluxe CD you can have two extra cuts and a download of the Capitol Studios show.

Paul McCartney’s new album will be in stores starting February 7. So, are you ready for some “Kisses on the Bottom?”

Former Beatle Paul McCartney to help restore 1877 Steinway grand piano used by Motown greats

Washington Post

DETROIT — During a summer visit to a Motown recording studio, former Beatle Paul McCartney wanted to run his fingers along an 1877 Steinway grand piano played by some Detroit music greats he considers idols.

“He was disappointed when we told him it didn’t play,” Motown Historical Museum chief executive Audley Smith Jr., told The Detroit News for a story (http://bit.ly/trOphs ) Saturday.

Undaunted, the legendary rock and roller from England told museum officials following a July concert at Comerica Park that he wanted to help restore it.

On Monday, the piano will be picked up from the Detroit museum and shipped to Steinway & Sons in New York for restoration. The work is expected to take up to five months.

The piano company has to assess the piano’s condition before a cost can be determined.
“Steinway & Sons is honored to restore the historic Steinway piano that was used by such legends as Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder — and to do so in the very same New York factory where it was originally built in 1877,” Steinway & Sons President of Americas Ron Losby told the newspaper in a statement.

“We’re especially proud, as an American company, to help the Motown Museum in preserving the legacy of the Motown Record Company, whose artists and albums played such a vital role in one of the great eras of American music.”
