The final movie of the Harry Potter series ended the era of Harry and his battle with Lord Voldemort. After all the struggles and growing up, Harry finally faces Lord Voldemort. Although the movie did not follow the book completely it was a huge hit.
The romance between Hermione and Ron was greatly finalized with a sudden kiss in the chambers of secrets. The tragic battle in Hogwarts showed the death of many characters such as Fred Weasley (James Phelps), Dobby, Remus Lupin (David Thewlis), Nymphadora Tonks (Natalia Tena) and Severus Snape (Alan Rickman), who never did betray Albus Dumbledore. Professor McGonagall (Maggie Smith) finally has a major role, having her driving Snape out of Hogwarts along with Molly
Weasely(JulieWalters) who kills Bellatrix Lestrange
(Helena Bonham Carter). The movie also included dramatic music that fit with the scenes and special effects for the charms, hexes and curses used, such as the magical bubble that surrounded Hogwarts, protecting Hogwarts from spells and enemy intruders.
However, the story left many extra details out for those who did not read the book. Especially the ending without any explanation of what Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione’s (Emma Watson) life was after nineteen years after Voldemort’s defeat; Harry and Ron becoming Aurors while Hermione achieved high positions in the Ministry of Magic to help non-humans and biases favoring pure-bloods. Also the movie left out the other names of Harry and Ginny’s children, Ron and Hermione’s children and Draco (Tom Felton) and Astoria’s (Jade Olivia) child with the exception of Albus Severus Potter, Harry’s middle child who was being sent to Hogwarts for his first year. Some scenes that I wished was in the movie was when Voldemort fought against Horace Slughorn, Minerva McGonagall and Kingsley Shacklebolt while Bellatrix fought Ginny Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Luna Lovegood. However, the movie had only Ginny battling Bellatrix. Furthermore, the movie did not have the centaurs show up at Hogwarts.
Even though the movie was different from the book, it is spectacular to watch how the story turned out. So what happens now for the Harry Potter fans, join Pottermore? A website that is free to use and unique that gives experience of the Harry Potter world to the player.
