It’s one of the many uber-twee British films that present a glossily idealised view of upper-class English life.
But Four Weddings And A Funeral star Anna Chancellor has revealed that she was promised a much more filthy role in the seminal comedy. She also hinted at the “naughty” side of her co-star Hugh Grant.
She told the Big Issue: “My first real acting job was probably Four Weddings And A Funeral. Someone told me they were making a film about lots of fucking in the back of horseboxes and I’d be perfect for it.
