Man Of Steel Henry Cavill clearly has a type as new girlfriend, Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco, bears a striking resemblance to the Superman star's ex-fiancee show jumper Ellen Whitaker.

The British hunk went public with his new romance this week when the couple were spotted hiking in Los Angeles followed by a cosy trip to the grocery store.

According to Us Weekly the couple have only been dating for a few weeks, but are already totally loved up, "[they're] totally hot for each other" an insider revealed.

He's the new Superman and tipped to play sexy Christian Grey in the movie of erotic bestseller 50 Shades Of Grey – so little wonder actor Henry Cavill has landed a new leading lady in his life, American actress Gina Carano.

The 29-year-old star of TV series The Tudors, cast as Superman in the forthcoming movie Man Of Steel, met Carano in September. 

In August, The Mail on Sunday Diary revealed that Henry had split with his long-term fiancee, showjumper Ellen Whitaker, 26, leaving her heartbroken. Ellen, part of the famous Whitaker equestrian dynasty, subsequently moved to Newcastle with her best friend Jennifer.
