Accompanied by his wife Livia Giuggiolo, the couple did the obligatory media rounds together to promote the film which is called La Taupe in the country.
Like Salma, Livia, 42, threw on dark colours and her style choice even matched her partner’s.
Both Firth and Giuggiolo included elements of black and grey in their clothing, with the Italian film producer showing off the two different shades on the front and back of her skirt.
British actor Gary Oldman – who plays George Smiley in the film - also paraded his lady at the event on Friday night.
He proudly held on to wife Alexandra who stole some of Selma Hayek’s attention in a daring low V-neck dress.
