THIS is the first look at new drama Ripper Street – about the London police’s struggle to bring order to their beat after the 19th-Century serial killer’s reign of terror.
Spooks star Matthew Macfadyen stars alongside Jerome Flynn from Game Of Thrones and US actor Adam Rothenberg.
A trailer of the BBC1 period drama airs tonight and the eight-parter will screen in the autumn.
Creator Simon Vaughn said: “The Ripper hunt was the first global media manhunt. It still stirs a macabre fascination with the public.”
