Downton Abbey star Allen Leech has landed his first Hollywood role starring alongside Keira Knightley and Benedict Cumberbatch.
The actor, 32, will feature in The Invitation Game which details the life of maths brainbox Alan Turing and the enigma code.
It is a massive coup for Allen who first joined Downton three years ago as chauffeur Tom Branson, who climbs the social ladder and marries into the Crawley family.
A source said: “Downton was a dream come true for Allen but getting a part in a Hollywood film is out of this world. He is a massive fan of Keira and Benedict and he starts filming in September.
