This is a 60 minute version, not made as a pilot, but intended as the first episode. The BBC re-ordered the series as three 90-minute "movies." It was re-written and re-imagined with a much larger budget. The story is quite different in several respects.
Thanks so much. I knew it was kind of different yet so much was the same. It's been a while since I saw the first episode, have to go back. Thanks again.
