Daniel Day-Lewis Looks Poised to Make Oscar History By Adam Wenger on October 19, 2012 (zimbio)

Don't look now, but if Daniel Day-Lewis manages to score a Best Actor Oscar for his role in Lincoln, he will become the first man in the history of the Academy Awards to win three golden trophies.

The 55-year-old first won Best Actor in 1989 for his work in My Left Foot, and then again in 2008 for his portrayal of the ruthless oil baron Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood.
