Ralph Fiennes breaks out as a comedy genius in Anderson's new film, now in limited release.



Just as Liam Neeson has become an unlikely action hero through films like "Non-Stop," it appears that Ralph Fiennes has been born anew as a comedic genius, all thanks to Wes Anderson.

Fiennes' funny-man chops are on full display in Anderson's new film, "The Grand Budapest Hotel," or so the reviews indicate. His work as hotelier Gustave H. has earned high praise from the critics, as has Anderson's humorous but heartfelt vision of a fictional country torn apart by war, as viewed from many generations and vantage points.

Action hero actor Henry Cavill, star of the new Superman film ‘Man of Steel,’ and world superbike champion, Neil Hodgson, take on the Taklamakan Desert, northwestern China.  Summer temperatures are a staggering 50 degrees Celsius. The duo must cross 470 miles of the largest shifting sand desert in the world, from Hami to Urmqi, where water is as scarce as life. One mistake and you will be stranded; one misjudgment of speed and the car rolls; among the scorching dunes, there is no rescue.

Starstudded dinner: Liam Neeson, Adrien Brody and Olivia Wilde tucked into a hearty meal at Rome's Percento restaurant after finishing a day's filming on The Third Person

Hollywood came to a small Italian restaurant after the cast and crew of new movie The Third Person enjoyed a relaxing meal after filming.

Liam Neeson, Adrien Brody, Olivia Wilde and director Paul Haggis were among those that packed the large table at Rome's Percento restaurant.

The cast and crew tucked into a hearty meal, and were seen toasting a day's hard work with lots of wine.

Neeson, 60, wore a blue shirt with leather jacket and jeans, and seemed to hold court over the table.


He was spotted having an intense discussion with his 28-year-old co-star Olivia Wilde, as Brody looked on interestingly.

Gerard Butler's Motor City Falls Apart, For Good This Time (CINEMA BLEND)

We've spent months writing stories about Albert Hughes's action film Motor City, and they've all fallen on pretty similar lines-- first we write about an actor who might star in the film, then we write about him leaving, then about another actor replacing him, then about that actor dropping out. The film had been sputtering to the start line for over a year before Gerard Butler recently signed on to play the lead, and with production set to start in mid-September, they seemed all set to finally get going… until the bottom, suddenly, fell out again.

And this time, it's a much bigger problem than just finding an actor to replace. According to Deadline, the film's financiers at Emmet/Furla Films, Envision Entertainment and Foresight Entertainment have pulled their support, realizing that the "drop-dead" April 2013 release date mandated by Warner Bros. would be impossible to reach. The film, which would have starred Butler as a man who escapes from prison and sets off for revenge against the man (Adrien Brody) who sent him there on a false charge, would have had just 12 weeks of post-production time, and though it's unclear how effects-heavy the film would have been, that apparently wasn't enough time to keep the backers happy.

Adrien Brody Still Waiting To Go On 'Date' With Gerard Butler (STAR PULSE)

Brody bid $15,000 for the odd item last year at a fundraiser to build a school in Haiti - and he's still waiting for a call from the 300 star. Brody says, "I attended a charity function for Artists for Peace & Justice and one of the things they were auctioning off was tea with Gerry Butler, which I thought was really interesting, so I thought, 'Why not?' I had the winning bid and I've yet to have tea with Gerry Butler. He has not fulfilled his obligation... I paid thousands and thousands of dollars... It was, like, 15 grand."
