He is one of Hollywood's hottest bachelors and it seems one blonde certainly couldn't wait to get her claws into Michael Fassbender.

Prometheus star Fassbender, 35, was seen leaving the Groucho club in London with a mystery blonde - and although the actor tried to hide his handsome face with a dirty basketball hat as he left, he couldn't help but be recognised.

Heartthrob Fassbender, who split from Shame co-star Nicole Beharie in January after a disastrous couple's holiday, looked to be wasting no time charming the young blonde in the street.


But after being spotted by movie fans Fassbender turned away from his flirting partner and appeared to walk off.

The charming actor's love interest looked slightly put off by his actions, although it is not known if they exchanged numbers.

The Irishman – who split from girlfriend Nicole Beharie last month – is a notorious flirt and seemed keen on trying out a bit of Blarney on the Oscar-nominated blonde.

Michael Fassbender is officially the Hollywood totty up for grabs after his girlfriend Nicole Beharie revealed they’ve thrown in the towel.

The pair began dating last year after taking their on-screen love affair in Shame off screen and were spotted at the Venice Film Festival loved up.

But their latest trip to Thailand didn’t end as well if Beharie’s Twitter is anything to go by.

The 28-year-old tweeted at the weekend: ‘After 3 weeks in Thailand, One week in the desert of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Finally heading back to LA…miss you guys.’

And then added: ‘Yes its true Fassbender and I are no longer dating.’

For the past couple of months, it had been rumored that Michael Fassbender was quietly dating his ‘Shame’ co-star Nicole Beharie.  However, a new report surfaced from the Herald.ie that Fassbender was ‘single’ and mingling with a large group of friends in the VIP area at the Lillie’s Bordello in Ireland.

 On Thursday, the 34-year-old "Shame" actor was spotted taking a romantic stroll through the streets of New York City with his co-star Nicole Beharie, 27.

Fassbender, wearing a long grey coat, was photographed walking with his hand over Beharie's shoulder, as the two shared laughs and braved New York's chilly weather. The new couple is a long way from the characters they played in Steve McQueen's "Shame."

Beharie's portrayal as a coworker of Fassbender's sex-driven workhorse Brandon Sullivan is the only character he doesn't sleep with in the film. (After one dinner date and flirtation at work, the two head to New York's famous Standard Hotel -- but Brandon fails to deliver).
