Here’s Stephen Colbert & Hugh Laurie Reading A List Of Every Vulgar Term Allowed On Basic Cable

UPROXX
WRITTEN BY MASKE / 08.06.1

In an effort to give broadcast television and their new relaxed standards the basic cable business, Stephen Colbert invited “Award-winning British person and recovering network star” Sir Hugh Laurie on set to read from a list of Viacom-approved terms he can say on his show and broadcast television cannot.

Take that Mark Harmon. You never get to talk about fingers in butts. Borderline NSFW audio depending on how your work feels about two sophisticated gentlemen reciting multiple variations of jobs and sacks for the world’s enjoyment.

Hugh Grant apologizes for Daily Show behavior: 'Jon Stewart correct to give me kicking'

By Adam Edelman / NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

Jon Stewart is no fan of Hugh Grant, who was reportedly upset that a film clip provided for his "Daily Show" appearance was below par. Stewart's retort: "Well, then make a better f------ movie." Oops.

One week after funnyman Jon Stewart slammed Hugh Grant as a "big pain in the a--," the snarky British actor took full responsibility for his 2009 Daily Show transgressions, admitting he deserved the public spanking from Stewart.

"Turns out my inner crab got the better of me with TV producer in 09," Grant, who appeared in this year's fantasy blockbuster Cloud Atlas, tweeted Friday. "Unforgivable. J Stewart correct to give me kicking," he wrote.

During an on-stage discussion last week with fellow comedian Stephen Colbert, Stewart said Grant displayed diva-like qualities backstage when the romantic-comedy actor appeared on The Daily Show in 2009.
