PANIC in the pantry. Producers of the hit TV show Downton Abbey fear that Dame Maggie Smith and Dan Stevens could be set to quit the series, says the Daily Mirror. This is because neither actor has yet signed a contract for series four and five (series three is currently filming). The agent for Dame Maggie, 77, confirmed to the Mirror that the actress had not even entered negotiations regarding series four, but declined to comment further on her client's feelings about continuing to play the doughty Dowager Countess of Downton.
