5 reasons why we are basically in love with Henry Cavill Jun 14th 2013, 14:35 | By Nola Ojomu | (HANDBAG.COM)
The actor is bringing Superman to life again in his new flick, Man Of Steel, and we're just a bit chuffed that Henry has officially hit the big time.
There are so many things we could say about the British actor but here is the top 5 reason we love him here at Handbag HQ...

5. He's dating the awesome Gina Carano
Now they don't really talk about it but they've done a red carpet together so we can say that Henry is totally dating Fast and Furious 6 star Gina Carano.
Usually an actor having a girlfriend is a cause of distress but we love the fact Gina is a former MMA fighter.
4. He doesn't mind losing out on roles
It's no secret that Henry has lost out on some big roles ( James Bond, Edward Cullen, The last Superman film) but he's taken it all in his stride which is just lovely really.

Keira Knightley - Keira Knightley has seen a ghost 14 November 2012 (CONTACT MUSIC)
Keira Knightley once found a ghost in her hotel room.
The 27-year-old actress has never believed in the supernatural, but thinks that can be the only explanation for the encounter she had with a mystery man who ''disappeared'' in front of her eyes.
She told TV talk show host Jay Leno: ''I was staying in a hotel in this city [Los Angeles]. The room had a bedroom and a sitting room. I walked into the sitting room. I'd just got out of the shower. There was a guy sitting on the sofa.
''He had a burgundy shirt on and he had short black hair and I thought 'Oh some guy has come into my room.' I said to him 'I'm really sorry, you're in my room,' and he disappeared.
''Then my mum came in and was like 'Who are you talking to?' and I'm standing there.
'I don't think I'd been drinking, it was early in the morning so I can't figure out what it was other than a ghost. He was so real, then all of a sudden he wasn't there.''

Gerard Butler Talks Surf Scare on "The Tonight Show" (Gossip Center)
Making a stop on the talk show circuit, Gerard Butler dropped by NBC Studios in Burbank for an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Thursday (January 12).
The Scottish stud made the appearance to promote his new movie "Coriolanus," which is all set to hit theaters next Friday, January 20th.During his sitdown, Gerard started off by talking with Jay about his near-death experience while shooting another new film about surfing called "Of Men and Mavericks".
Explaining that he plays surfer Jay Moriarity's mentor, Butler set out to shoot scenes which required him to ride the Northern California break known as Mavericks, as he told, "So I'm paddling and I'm with three of the best surfers in the world and Greg [Long] starts going 'Paddle, Gerry, Paddle!' and we start paddling to the side and it was like watching a tsunami come in as the whole skyline just became white as this wave spread across in front of us..."
Gerard continued, "It was like a 200 meter sprint and then you just saw the wave coming and we're like, 'Oh, here we go....'. So, you're already exhausted and then the wave just slammed. It was like a car crash really, and then underwater, spinning, spinning, spinning, and then everything went dark...."
The 42-year-old finished his story by telling, "So, I was down and I'm thinking, 'I've got to get up, I've got to get up.' I was terrified. And it was one of the most lonely, scary experiences and I knew the whole crew were up there but they couldn't do anything."
After his surf story, Butler also spent time telling Leno about his recent motorcycle trip, as well as "Coriolanus," with the full interview available in the videos below!

First Published: November 8, 2011 5:42 PM EST Credit: Getty Images
Caption Henry Cavill arrives at the ‘Immortals’ premiere in Los Angeles on November 7, 2011LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- New Superman Henry Cavill is sporting a look fans have never seen on the caped hero – no trademark red underpants, a beard and he appears to go shirtless in at least one scene. On Monday, the British actor chatted about the comic book character’s new updated look.
During an appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” Henry was asked about Superman’s new all-blue pants and the 28-year-old actor appeared to be a bit intimidated by the revealing attire.
“Why wear underpants when you can be far more revealing?” he said with a laugh.
Later on Tuesday night at the premiere of his latest movie, “Immortals,” Access Hollywood asked why his Clark Kent/Superman is seen sporting a beard while shooting the superhero reboot.
“You’ll see!” Henry coyly said with a smile.
Also during his interview with Leno, the actor revealed that he was up for the Daniel Craig’s role in “Casino Royale,” and that Stephenie Meyer originally wanted him for the role of Edward Cullen in “The Twilight Saga.”
“By the time it came around to casting, I was too old,” Henry said of the part that would go to Robert Pattinson.
“Immortals” hits theaters on Friday and “Man of Steel” is slated for release on June 14, 2013.
