“Sources close to Ghenea” told a Romanian tabloid that the actress and the Hollywood hunk are not longer a couple.

A source close to the star recounted the events for the tabloid: “Madalina Ghenea is depressed!”

The weird part is that the tabloid cited “close sources,” but does not give any names.

It’s not the first time when speculation arises that the pair have split.

Wild rumors about their relationship have surfaced lately. It has been speculated that Butler it has been flirting with Jennifer Aniston and Katy Perry.

The Italian press speculated that Madalina and Gerard had broken up after a photo showing Madalina dancing in a club with her ex-boyfriend, footballer Marco Borriello, appeared in the media.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand may have filed for a divorce, but it sounds like Pezza might still have a bit of a thing for the Brits and it's rumoured that she might even have gone on a date with hunky Scottish actor Gerard Butler.

According to Now, the couple were seen out enjoying several "low-key" dinners together last month, before Gerard checked into rehab to try and sort out his addiction to painkillers.

In an interview with Now, a source said: "Gerard's always had a soft spot for her. As soon as he heard about her split from Russell Brand he got in touch. It was actually on her advice that he went to rehab."

When Gerard finished treatment, the pair apparently met up again at a pre-Oscars party. It's even rumoured that Katy was so keen to meet up with the Scottish hottie that she left Elton John's legendary Oscar bash to see Gerard at a rival party.

"They're planning to meet up again," the source added. It might not be plain sailing for the couple though, as apparently Katy's friends are concerned that the relationship is not the best thing for her right now. The source said: "Her friends are worried she's heading for trouble, but she thinks he'd be a great way to mend her broken heart."

LOS ANGELES – The musicians cueing up to salute Paul McCartney at MusiCares were nervous enough about doing justice to their hero's classics. Then they had to worry about living up to the opening act: McCartney.The legendary musician, the biggest big shot snagged in the event's 22-year history, was celebrated for his music and philanthropy Friday night at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The honoree, accompanied by wife Nancy Shevell, didn't bask in glory. He sang for his (vegetarian) supper.

After the boisterous dance-and-acrobatics pageantry of Cirque du Soleil's Beatles LOVE troupe, McCartney, 69, took the stage and charged into rousing versions of Magical Mystery Tour and Junior's Farm, setting a high bar for an evening of distinctive covers by diverse admirers.

The Foo Fighters cleared that bar with a roaring Jet, after singer Dave Grohl gushed about the surreal coolness of "hanging out with Paul friggin' McCartney."

Alicia Keys, who accompanied herself on piano for an aching, soulful Blackbird, said, "It's a beautiful honor to be here tonight. I never knew how much this song was about me."

Alison Krauss & Union Station, plus Jerry Douglas, brought creamy harmonies and bluegrass shades to an acoustic No More Lonely Nights, performed on a rotating satellite stage. (In rehearsal, Krauss quipped, "What are we, rotisserie chicken?")
