Keira Knightley and James Righton make first red carpet appearance as parents-to-be

Keira Knightley and her husband James Righton were all smiles on Friday night as they made their first red carpet appearance as parents-to-be. Pregnant Keira showed off her growing bump in a bold yellow dress as she and her husband joined stars at the BAFTA TV Tea Party in LA.

Former Klaxons musician James, who tied the knot with Keira in France in May 2013, was supporting his wife as she prepares to make numerous appearances throughout awards season.

Keira's role alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in historical thriller The Imitation Game has earned her several nominations, including Best Supporting Actress at the BAFTAs and the Golden Globes, which take place on 11 January.

James will no doubt be cheering his 29-year-old wife on as she goes up against Jessica Chastain, Patricia Arquette, Meryl Streep and Emma Stone during Sunday night's ceremony in LA.

Wells residents should keep their eyes open for a slew of famous faces who are heading to the city to film the concluding part of The Hollow Crown, the War of the Roses.

Next weekend, production for the second series will take place in Wells.

The cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Judi Dench, Sophie Okonedo, Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Michael Gambon and Philip Glenister.

Cast and crew will be in Wells from October 19 until October 24, filming at Cathedral Green and Vicars Close – although the BBC press office has been tight-lipped about which of the cast will be headed to Wells.

Motor vehicles will be excluded from the area between 8am and 7pm on October 19-21, between 10am and 11pm on October 22, 9am and 9pm on October 23 and 8am and 5pm on October 24.

The Hollow Crown is based on William Shakespeare's history plays, and is one of the BBC's flagship dramas.

The first cycle was an adaptation of Shakespeare's Richard II, Henry IV, Part I and Henry IV, Part II (treated as one film in two parts in the series) and Henry V and starred Ben Whishaw, Jeremy Irons and Tom Hiddleston, and scooped a handful of awards from the South Bank Sky Arts Awards, Broadcasting Press Guild and BAFTA.

The second cycle, which includes Henry VI (in two parts) and Richard III – is being co-produced by Neal Street Productions with Carnival Films/NBC Universal and Thirteen.

Benedict Cumberbatch: Sherlock takes his Hamlet to the big screen

Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch is in talks to bring his stage Hamlet to the screen. The play begins performances at the Barbican next year, and negotiations for it to be filmed live and shown in cinemas through National Theatre Live for one night are well advanced.

The actor, along with the production’s director Lyndsey Turner and producer Sonia Friedman, has spent more than a year ensuring that this will be a ‘people’s Hamlet’.

‘I felt very strongly that as wide an audience as possible should have access to it,’ Cumberbatch told me.

The Barbican’s allocation of seats for the entire 12-week run, which starts on August 5 next year, have been snapped up already.

But there will be 100 seats available per performance. ‘They will be sprinkled throughout the house . . . they’re not behind pillars,’ the 38-year-old joked.

He said that he and Ms Turner were eager to make their Hamlet as ‘fresh’ as possible, ‘like a new play that just landed as a pdf in someone’s computer inbox at the Royal Court’, as he described it.

‘We want to escape the idea that it has been done before, and we’re looking at the whole play — not just the eponymous hero.’

Benedict is a thespian polymath. There’s no role he cannot take on.

We had met to discuss another of his projects: a towering portrait — one of the great performances of the year — of Alan Turing, the man who helped break the Nazi’s Enigma code, in the film The Imitation Game.

Watching the movie, I was struck by his approach to Turing: the way he grasped and captured the man, not just the cliched genius. The film is all the more heartbreaking because of it.

World's End's Rosamund Pike a Hot MILF in Esquire UK (photos) English Actress's New Comedy Set for Release July 19 By The ImproperStaff, July

This month, Pike will supply some of the eye candy for “The World’s End,” a doomsday comedy by Edgar Wright and British comedian and actor Simon Pegg.

Pike will play one of five old friends, including Pegg and Martin Freeman, who reunite after 20 years and decide to finish a pub crawl they started last time they got together. Only problem, aliens are invading the earth.

Although Pike may be known as a blonde bombshell, she had a classical English upbringing.

She’s only child of concert musicians and opera singers Caroline Friend and Julian Pike. Her father currently works as a professor of music and head of Operatic Studies at the Birmingham Conservatoire. She started acting as a teen but still managed to graduate from Oxford with a degree in English.

She has the range to play proper roles like the eldest Bennet sister in 2005′s Jane Austen classic, “Pride and Prejudice,” with Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan and Jena Malone. Or in off-beat comedies like “The World’s End.”

“To be made to laugh is one of the greatest things on Earth and to be in the company of people who do that the best – like Simon and Nick – is the best,” Pike told Esquire. “It’s good for the soul.”

Her latest film debuts July 19.

Pike is so hot she had a two-year relationship with gay actor Simon Woods. She gave birth to her first child, a son, Solo in May 2012, with Robie Uniacke, whom she’s been dating since 2010.

Looking every bit the newlyweds, Keira Knightley and her husband James Righton walked arm-in-arm in the sunshine on Monday afternoon.

The couple - who married in France earlier this month - appeared blissfully happy after lunch near Brick Lane, close to their Spitalfields home.

Not able to contain her love for James, Keira, 28, showered her hubby with kisses on their stroll.
