Natalie Portman And Christian Bale Are Feuding On The Set Of New Film BY PAUL CANTOR | JUL 20, 2012 | 2:20 PM | PERMALINK

The Black Swan and The Dark Knight aren't getting along.

Natalie Portman is busy shooting "Knight of Cups" with Christian Bale, but according to a source, Bale's behavior has her ready to jump ship on the film altogether.

“Natalie can’t stand him,” says the source. “She thinks he’s tedious, arrogant and a disgrace to the acting profession.”

The root of her frustration appears to be Bale's relentless pursuit of perfection. As a result, about an hour's worth of scenes is taking much longer than expected to shoot. Portman's no slouch, but she doesn't want to go over every little nuance of a scene a hundred times.

"Christian is constantly frustrated by his own work and incredibly intense and highly stressed over each scene,” says the source. “He’ll insist they shoot over and over again because he didn’t like how he punctuated a line or something. Sometimes they wind up spending all night on the set just to satisfy Christian’s obsessive perfectionism.”

Christian Bale Making a Documentary on the Homeless? (OPPOSING VIEWS)

Submitted by I Need My Fix on Jun 19, 2012

We’ve gotten a lot of pics lately of Christian Bale hanging out on the mean streets of LA in the past couple of weeks as he films Terrence Malick’s lastest, Knight of Cups. These pics could easily be more of the same, but they are reportedly scenes of Bale and fellow actor Wes Bentley (rumored to be appearing in Knight of Cups as well), filming a documentary about the homeless population of  LA’s Skid Row.

Bale is known for his charitable efforts almost as much as he is for his acting abilities. He is active in many organizations, including Ark Trust, Greenpeace, the World Wildlife Foundation, the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, the Redwings (Horse) Sanctuary and the Happy Child Mission,  a school for street kids in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Christian Bale, Natalie Portman and Cate Blanchett in new photos from Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups June 11, 2012 | Written By: Kristy Sturdivant (FLIX 66)

Terrence Malick has been a very busy guy lately. Though he was known for releasing films years and years apart, these last couple and upcoming few years have him shooting more films than one can keep track of. Maybe it’s hard to keep them straight because so many of them have working titles that change sporadically and overlapping actors (Christian Bale specifically), or maybe it’s just tough because he keeps so many of his scripts under wraps that we don’t even know which film is which film or who has signed on to which film, etc. Very confusing, right?

Thankfully we can all get our Christian Bale fix this summer when he will star in the final installment in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, which opens in theaters on July 20th, 2012. Who knows how long we’ll have to wait to see him in KNIGHT OF CUPS. (DailyMail)

Christian Bale shows off his sweet side helping Natalie Portman with her hair on the set of new film... but he might need to work on his tender touch By SARAH FITZMAURICE (MAIL)

He is known for his roles in American Psycho and as Batman so playing a part in a love story isn't something fans are used to seeing from Christian Bale.

The 38-year-old actor was seen filming sickly sweet scenes for his latest flick Knight of Cups alongside Natalie Portman, who appears to be playing his on screen love interest.

Christian was seen tying up his co-star's hair as they stood by the surf in Malibu.

But it appears the actor is not used to dealing with a woman's tresses and judging from the grimace on Natalie's face he wasn't using such a tender touch.

Perhaps the actor needs to tap into his feminine side after playing such macho roles in the past.
The pair were also seen strolling along the sand and holding hands together which camera crews captured their chemistry.

Christian Bale: The Hunger Games Star Wes Bentley Films Scenes For Terrence Malick 0 Posted April 4, 2012 by Blake Dew in News (WE GOT THIS COVERED)

The Hunger Games star Wes Bentley has been spotted shooting scenes with Christian Bale for Terrence Malick‘s new films.

At this point it is unclear whether the scenes are for the once titled Lawless or Knight Of Cups, but with all the footage that’s been shot so far rumoured to be for Lawless, I think it’s a safe bet that that will be the film that Bentley appears in.

As we know, Malick is known for leaving actors out of films due to excess footage having been shot, so at this point there is no way to know if Bentley will end up in the final cut of either of Malick’s upcoming films, but at least he stands a chance. I’ve always been a fan of Bentley’s work and I think he would fit nicely into a Terrence Malick movie
