'Downton Abbey' star Jessica Brown Findlay regrets going topless in big screen debut Findlay blames naivety on early topless scene and ‘not knowing I could say no.’ BY RACHEL MARESCA / NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

Former "Downton Abbey" star Jessica Brown Findlay regrets flashing her breasts in her first big-screen appearance.

The 23-year-old actress, known for her role as Lady Sybil in the PBS drama, played a character who had an affair with an older man in her first flick, "Albatross," in 2011.

"To be honest, 'Albatross' was naivety and not knowing that I could say no," Findlay told the Radio Times on her nude scene.

"I had no idea what was going to happen and thought I was going to be shot from behind."

'Downton Abbey' Season 4: Lady Mary's Suitors To Be Played By Tom Cullen And Julian Ovenden Posted: 03/02/2013 10:54 am EST | Updated: 03/02/2013 11:00 am EST (HUFFINGTON POST)

Matthew may be out of the picture, but Lady Mary won't be alone for long.

According to The Telegraph, two aristocrats will be visiting Downton in the beginning of Season 4. And as to be expected, they're not courting Edith.

Lady Mary's (Michelle Dockery) suitors will reportedly be played by actors Tom Cullen and Julian Ovenden, with both competing to help the mourning Mary to raise her newborn son.

The search for Lady Mary's new love interest hasn't been an easy one, though. Last month, the Daily Mail reported that Matthew's shoes were difficult ones to fill.

Downton Abbey: Five Things You Must Know Before Sunday's 'Downton Abbey' Finale By Justine Ashley Costanza. Posted on Feb 15th 2013. (CELEB LOVE)

Consider yourself warned: The season ends with an unexpected bang.

Season 3 of Downton Abbey saw the marital union of Lady Mary and cousin Matthew, the near end and recovery of Lord Grantham’s estate, and the shocking death of Lady Sybil.

If the finale is anything like the rest of the episodes that aired this season, it’s sure to rouse a few laughs, gasps, and even tears. So arm yourself with tissues and these five teasers about Sunday’s Christmas Special, “A Journey to the Highlands.”

1. Spoiler Alert: After the shocking finale aired in the U.K. last December, the episode received extensive media coverage. With all of those ruin-the-surprise articles floating around, avoid searching online for "Downton Abbey finale" like the plague.

2.  A Little R&R: We’ve witnessed the Crawleys endure a series of setbacks and heartbreaks this year but rest assured, the family enjoys a much needed vacation during a trip to Duneagle Castle in Scotland.

3. Timeline Shift: In the promotional clips released by PBS, we see an older baby Sybil being held by Mr. Carson, so it’s clear the episode occurs sometime after episode 6.

Dan Stevens - Downton Abbey Series 4 to Hit Autumn 2013, But Will Everyone Still Be There? (SPOILER ALERT) 23 November 2012 (CONTACT MUSIC)

Christmas is best for weight gain, uncomfortable family gatherings, warmed alcoholic beverages and most importantly, period dramas. So, the news that a fourth series of Downton Abbey, including a feature length Christmas special, has been confirmed is pretty much the best Christmas gift we could ask for.

Filming for the 8 episode series is set to begin in February next year with it premiering in autumn 2013. Dan Stevens, who plays Matthew Crawley, was said to have declined to sign up for a fourth series back in October, but his character is really rather crucial to the whole affair. Having killed off Sybil and the Turkish diplomat back in series 1, another untimely death would render it rather unbelievable. New reports from the Daily Mail say that negotiations are still ongoing for the contracts of all the characters.

'Downton Abbey' stars hoping for a trip to America, more Shirley MacLaine (THE CLICKER)

By Marc Malkin, E! Online

It's time for "Downton Abbey" to come to America. And we're not just talking about having to wait until January for season three to premiere stateside.

How about the Crawleys make a visit to the U.S.?!

As fans of the PBS series already know, Lady Cora (Elizabeth McGovern) is American and her mom lives in Philadelphia.

"I think we need to encourage (show creator Julian Fellowes) to write an episode in New York or something like that," Michelle Dockery, who plays Lady Mary, told us at the Emmys. "Let's hope, because I'd love that."

Cora's mother actually appears in season three when she comes to visit the family. She's played by Shirley MacLaine.

Downton Abbey Second Episode Spoilers (METRO)

By Caroline Westbrook - 23rd September, 2012

The second episode of the new series of Downton Abbey offers the strongest hints yet that Lady Edith may finally be about to walk up the aisle.

The latest series already got its fair share of wedding fever when it kicked off last week with an episode which saw Lady Mary and Matthew Crawley get married.

However the second episode sees Lady Edith - played by Laura Carmichael - once again declare her intentions to Sir Anthony Strallan (Robert Bathurst), who is 25 years her senior - as they vow to begin a new life together as a married couple.

And although no plot details have been revealed, a trailer for the next episode reportedly shows shots of Lady Edith in a wedding dress and outside a church with her sisters - suggesting that nuptials are indeed on the cards, in spite of her family's disapproval.

Downton Abbey: Hugh Bonneville reveals all about the new series STV 31 August 2012 13:25 BST (STV)

“This series the outside world still impacts on the house, but it’s in a much more nuanced way.”

Hugh’s character, the Earl of Grantham, does have fresh troubles to face, however, with the aftermath of the war having an impact on Downton Abbey, and he has to fight hard to stop things from falling apart.

Other problems facing him are the arrival of his mother-in-law, played by Shirley Maclaine, but unlike his character, Hugh welcomed the new arrival with open arms.

“I was there in the hall when Maggie [Smith, who plays the Countess of Grantham], and Shirley first met,” he said. “Often in the dinner scenes, with me sitting between Maggie and Shirley, I thought I’d died and gone to heaven listening to some of the stories about the people they’ve worked with.

“I think she [Shirley] is a remarkable woman and Maggie and she got on famously. It is a mark of Downton Abbey’s international reputation that actors like MacLaine want to appear on the show.”

Downton Abbey returns to STV and ITV on Sunday, September 16 at 9pm.

Not long now! Downton Abbey fans get a glimpse of Shirley MacLaine in action as third series promo is released By LIZ THOMAS and KIMBERLEY DADDS PUBLISHED: 16:04 EST, 20 August 2012 | UPDATED: 06:57 EST, 21 August 2012 (DAILY MAIL)

The stars of the show have been giving tiny sneak peaks of what to expect in the next Downton Abbey series over the last few weeks as they work hard shooting new scenes. But now fans have been treated to an actual glimpse of the upcoming third series after producers released two 20-second promo clips today. In the first online video, the Grantham family is seen discussing the imminent arrival of Lady Cora's mother Martha Levinson, to be played by Shirley MacLaine, who is travelling over from America in the series.

Sparks are set to fly between Dame Maggie Smith’s Dowager Countess Violet Grantham and Shirley McLaine’s Martha – Lady Grantham’s mother.

Dame Maggie’s acerbic putdowns alone make Downton Abbey worth watching.

But for series three it seems she will be fighting Miss MacClaine’s Martha Levinson for the best waspish one-liners.

The frosty on-screen relationship is already being dubbed the “battle of the matriarchs” as the pair become embroiled in a bitter power struggle.
