Idris Elba, Tom Hardy And Michael Fassbender Fight It Out To Be Favourite For Next James Bond Odds slashed on a black Bond (E.)
Daniel Craig may have another two Bond movies left in him after 'Skyfall', but the speculation has already started as to who'll replace him.
And bookmaker Paddy Power think that we could get a black Bond as they've slashed the odds on Londoner Idris Elba becoming the next 007,making him a new favourite.
It's believed to be due to the fact that current bond girl Naomie Harris' claimed that Elba was being lined up to become Bond. She told the Huffington Post: "I didn't realise that there was this talk and then I did a film with Idris and he said that he met Barbara Broccoli and that it does seem like there is a possibility in the future that there could very well be a black James Bond."
Elba's 'Prometheus' co-star Michael Fassbender is next in the betting at 5s along with 'Clash of The Titans' star Sam Worthington, with Tom Hardy next at 6s.

Gerard Butler, Sam Worthington, and Matthew McConaughey to Star in Epic 3D Film About Capture of Baghdad Casting Couch By Kate Erbland on May 15, 2012 |
True-life American military tales are gunning for a real resurgence lately – what with Ben Affleck’s Argo, Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty, and the Robert Pattinson-starring Mission: Blacklist – and it looks like that means we’re not safe from a 3D take on such projects. A morning press release out of the Cannes Film Festival (oh, and heads up, get ready for a metric ton of these in the coming days) reveals that Freedom Films and Paradox Entertainment have made a deal to produce the “epic action pic Thunder Run,” based on the book “Thunder Run – The Armored Strike to Capture Baghdad.”
In case that title doesn’t quite clue you in on the film’s subject matter, it will detail “the untold story of the dangerous and bloody capture of Baghdad by American Forces at the onset of the Iraq War. In April 2003, three battalions and fewer than a thousand men launched a violent thrust of tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles into the heart of a city of five million, igniting a three-day blitzkrieg, which military professionals often refer to as a lightning strike, or ‘thunder run.’”

Liam Neeson: 'Wrath of the Titans' review: "A vast improvement on Clash" (DIGITAL SPY)
|By Ben Rawson-Jones
Director: Jonathan Liebesman; Screenwriter: Dan Mazeau; Starring: Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Sam Worthington, Bill Nighy, Rosamund Pike;
Running time: 120 mins;
Certificate: 12A
It wouldn't take much to better the stale but profitable misfire that was 2010's Clash of the Titans remake. Yet the year's latest unwanted sequel, following in the fumes of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, is a vast improvement on its predecessor and contains enough epic visual scope and spectacle to merit your attention on the big screen. Preferably in IMAX and 3D.
Picking up a decade after the Kraken was sent packing to CGI Hell, Wrath of the Titans involves demi-God Perseus (Sam Worthington and mullet) plotting to rescue his father Zeus (Liam Neeson) and prevent hell from breaking loose. Their lives are in grave danger after Zeus's brother Hades (Ralph Fiennes) and other son Ares (Edgar Ramirez) turn against their relatives.
They make the Mitchell family in EastEnders look functional. So with the help of feisty Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike) and gormless demigod Agenor (Toby Kebbell), Perseus must venture into the Underworld, save daddy and prevent a massive fire-based bit of CGI entitled Kronos from breaking free. The group venture across breathtaking landscapes and encounter many perils such as a Cyclops and a Minotaur.
To the movie's credit, assured pacing ensures that the travellers never dwell in a location for too long and each successive set piece raises the stakes and the excitement levels.

Liam Neeson says 'Wrath of Titans' 10 times better than first (CITY NEWS TORONTO)
3/27/2012 | Reuters
Stars of the sequel Wrath of the Titans hit the red carpet on Monday in New York to promote their new film.
As the follow-up to the 2010 film, Clash of the Titans the new movie tells the mythical tale of Perseus, who seeks to rescue his father, Zeus from danger after he is kidnapped by his son Ares and brother Hades.
Returning for the second outing is Liam Neeson, who plays Zeus, Ralph Fiennes as the brother Hades and Sam Worthington as Perseus, who said he made sure his character was an improvement from the first installment.
"I just feel I've got a responsibility to an audience to improve, the only reason to do a sequel is to up the ante," said Worthington. On the red carpet Neeson describe the film as being ten times better than the first.
"You actually really care about all the characters including these pompous egotistical Gods. And the thrills and spills are all there and the 3D is quite phenomenal. I was never a fan of 3D until I saw this one - and I say that with all sincerity," Neeson said.

Lather up the beefcake! Gerard Butler, Sam Worthington and Matthew McConaughey are teaming up for Thunder Run, an all-CG 3D action thriller being made by Freedom Films.
Simon West is set to direct, according to Freedom Films, while Hyde Park International is handling international sales and launching the title at AFM.
The movie is adapting the novel Thunder Run - The Armored Strike to Capture Baghdad, by Pulitzer Prize-winning correspondent David Zucchino. Robert Port, who won an Oscar in 2003 for best short documentary, and Ken Nolan, who co-wrote Blac
k Hawk Down, penned the script.

The project aims to recount the capture of Baghdad by American forces at the start of the Iraq War in 2003. The three-day assault was referred as a “lightning strike” or “thunder run.” The producers want to paint “the harrowing picture of the soldiers on the front lines and the realities of modern warfare.”
The Graphic Film Company has been tapped to utilize proprietary facial-capture technology it used on West’s upcoming Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3D movie along with the motion capture technology used in Avatar, said Freedom Films.
Producing are Freedom Films’ Brian Presley, along with the company’s Carissa Buffel and Kevin Matusow as well as Jib Polhemus of the Graphic Film Company.
The trio's work will consist mostly of voicework but there will be green-screen aspects as well.
“What we capture in our cameras will be them,” Presley told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’ll have a stylized effect to it but we are shooting them. We’re not ageing them down like Jeff Bridges in Tron Legacy, it’ll be them for two hours in a highly intense tank battle.
“The scope of the movie is going to feel huge and thegoal is to appeal to the Call of Duty world. It’s not going to have a video game world feel but to have a stylized look to it.
"We’re locked and loaded and will shoot next year."
Thunder Run is repped by Gersh with CAA also coming on board to rep the movie. Gersh also reps Freedom Films.
Butler is repped by CAA and Alan Siegel Entertainment, Worthington by CAA and Anonymous Content, McConaughey by CAA and attorney Kevin Morris. West is also repped by CAA.

NINE TO FIVE
10 Oct 11 @ 06:00am by Matt Young
Last Night is the story of Joanna Reed (played by Keira Knightley) and Michael Reed (played by Sam Worthington) who are seven years into their happy and loving relationship.
They are happily moving along in their lives and their relationship until Joanna meets Laura (played by Eva Mendes), the stunningly beautiful work colleague whom Michael never mentioned.
While Michael is away with Laura on a business trip, Joanna runs into an old but never quite forgotten love, Alex (played by Guillaume Canet) and agrees to have drinks with him.
As the night progresses and temptation increases for both Joanna and Michael, each must confront who they are inside and outside of their relationship.
Last Night is ultimately a film about choices. The choice you make to be with someone, to give yourself physically and emotionally, and how to survive all three.

Sam Worthington: Keira Knightley hated me because I was a bit of a jerk
Sam Worthington talks to Metro about going off the rails due to acting, why Keira Knightley thinks he's arrogant and playing a Mossad agent in his latest film, The Debt.

What was it like to play a Mossad agent?
My character was labelled ‘troubled’ but that’s just something they write because it’s an easy way of understanding complexity. His family was killed in World War II and he’s trying to fill that void by seeking justice. Here’s a guy that’s like a volcano and when it erupts, he’s trying to put the lava back in without getting burnt. The film is about the question: will the truth set you free?
What was the biggest challenge?
Learning Krav Maga [Israeli martial art]. It’s about taking down opponents as quickly and as effectively as possible. Sometimes that means you put yourself in harm’s way to expose your opponent so you can finish them off.
How consumed are you by your job?
Acting is like a sickening addiction. You love it. You immerse yourself into the world of the movie and the challenges of the character. Things that the character goes through rub off into the fabric of your being whether you know it or not.
So you take your work home with you?
I do. For Texas Killing Fields [a thriller set in the US Deep South], I was a f***ing maniac. I play a guy who’s an angry racist dealing with dead bodies every day. I went off the rails, although I didn’t know it at the time. I listened to a lot of murder tapes. I pinned pictures of murders up. Believe me, that is horrible to be around. It’s always ringing in your head; it’s in your being. It gets harder and harder to let it go. You want to work again, you want to sink back into it.
Do you take holidays?
You can’t have a holiday from yourself. No matter where you go, you can’t shake what’s going on in your head.
Did you always want to act?
I love acting but didn’t set out to be famous. If I’d wanted that, I would have gone on Big Brother. I’m not a great fan of people who say they put a sheet up in the backyard when they were seven and entertained the neighbours. When I was seven, I thought I was a fire truck. Growing up, you tended to just go through school to get out, then figured out what you want to do.
Will you ever settle down?
I am nomadic. I’ve got a bag of clothes and a bag of books. I don’t own a phone and I don’t want one. Sydney’s home but I am never there. I go where the work is and never get sick of hotels.
What do you do with the money?
I bought my sister a car. My best mates and I were teenagers with no money, you figure it out together, so we do that now. Even though one of the mates earns a bit more than the others, we still all pitch in.
Do you ever consider doing less intense roles?
A friend asked me: ‘When are you going to do a romantic comedy?’ I said: ‘I’ll do one if I can do it with Christian Bale.’ That would be the best rom-com ever. He is the most dedicated man on the planet. But we never get offered those parts.

What was it like working with Keira Knightley in Last Night?
Keira’s amazing – a consummate professional. We played a young married couple who have become complacent. For the first week of rehearsals I got to know her, we had barbecues and stuff, but I was struggling to get into the role. I thought if I treat her with complacency – like the character in the movie – that might help. So in the second week, I became complacent. Actually, I was a bit of a jerk. I didn’t turn up to rehearsals. Why? I couldn’t be bothered. And I picked fights with the director. In my head, I thought my character should be a bit of a jerk. Keira started to hate me. But to me that meant things were going well: we nailed our relationship right there. That is dedication. It was stupid. I’m not very good at turning it on and off. It will take a long time for her to stop seeing me as arrogant.Did you always want to act?
