But not everyone’s personal sense of style was revered by the magazine. GQ also drew up a worst-dressed list which included the likes of US rapper Chris Brown, Jamie Oliver, David Cameron’s director of strategy Steve Hilton and Strictly Come Dancing star Robbie Savage, who the list concluded looks like ''a reject from a Mills & Boon cover''.

The panel of expert judges assembling the list included Gary Barlow, Tom Ford, Christopher Bailey and David Walliams. The GQ Best Dressed Men List 2012 appears in the March issue of GQ, out next Thursday.
