Benedict Cumberbatch never expected success (YAHOO ENTERTAINMENT, SINGAPORE)

Benedict Cumberbatch says his ten-year-old self would be "pretty chuffed" with the success he's enjoying in Hollywood.

The British actor has made a name for himself in films such as Atonement, War Horse and most recently J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness.

Benedict, 36, says his ten-year-old self would be pleased with the impressive career he's enjoyed so far.
"I really don't know. He'd be pretty chuffed. What was I doing when I was ten? I was probably playing Ann in Half A Sixpence at school at that time, so the idea of being in a Star Trek film was probably very far from Ann's mind, and mine!" he laughed in an interview with British magazine OK!

"He would have been really, really surprised and wouldn't quite have believed it. He still doesn't."
