They tied the knot in a gorgeous 'environmentally-friendly wedding' in Ibiza over the weekend.

And Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender certainly looked ready for some honeymoon downtime as they made a weary appearance at the airport on Tuesday.

Continuing to sport rings on their wedding fingers, the Oscar-winning actress, 29, and the Assassin's Creed actor, 40, looked slightly exhausted ahead of their flight - no doubt, a result of them 'partying until 6am' during their wedding bash.

Emerging from the vehicle, Michael stacked their numerous suitcases, including a large Louis Vuitton one, on the trolley before they proceeded into the airport.

The loved-up pair were joined by Alicia's parents, Maria and Svante Vikander.

Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, both Alicia and Vikander appeared to glow with happiness as they dined at a restaurant on the beach for what looked to be a post-wedding brunch over the weekend.

It was first revealed by The Sun in early September the pair were planning a destination wedding in Ibiza.

'Guests have been told to arrive in Ibiza on a certain date and they will then be collected and taken to the hotel,' a source told the publication at the time.

'He’s splashing out big time and it’s going to be the party of the year.'

The notoriously private couple rarely talk about their relationship,

One of the biggest German stars in Hollywood right now, is the handsome actor Michael Fassbender, who has enjoyed a huge rise to Hollywood superstardom over the years.

Michael Fassbender Competes With Robert Downey Jr For Highest Paid Actor In Hollywood? ‘Iron Man 3’ Actor Rumored To Appear With ‘Frank’ Star In ‘Assassin’s Creed’

It’s really no surprise that Michael Fassbender, one of the most workaholic actors in Hollywood is giving Robert Downey Jr. a run for his money! Maybe ‘Frank’ star wants to oust him as the highest paid actor in Hollywood. ‘Iron Man 3’ actor is definitely fighting back, especially with the new rumors that he will be joining Michael Fassbender in ‘Assassin’s Creed’.

The rumor mill of Hollywood is claiming that the highest paid actor in Hollywood has “signed on to play Leonardo da Vinci in the movie adaptation of ‘Assassin’s Creed’”, according to Cinema Blend. This is the biggest casting news for ‘Assassin’s Creed’ since… well Michael Fassbender got involved, that is.

‘Frank’ actor has been working so much that it looks like he is about to challenge Robert Downey Jr.’s position as the highest paid actor in Hollywood. Between 2014 and 2015, Michael Fassbender has released eight movies, including the most recent ‘X-Men: Days of the Future Past’ and most anticipated ‘The Light Between Oceans’.

The word on the street is that Michael Fassbender works so much that it’s impossible for him to keep a girlfriend! He admitted to GQ on February 2012 that he chooses work over romance.

"I’m kind of selfish with the hours that I put into the work," he continued. "I think the longest relationship that I've been in was two years. I started [acting] when I was 17, so I guess in my dating, adult life, that kind of covers it."

“It’s not fair on somebody to be waiting for you,” the actor told GQ. “You spend long periods of time apart and then when I am here, I’m working.”

Michael Fassbender’s movie magic is award-worthy

LARNE TIMES

Michael Fassbender’s Larne uncle says it is only a matter of time before his famous nephew wins a major award.

Speaking exclusively to The Times the day after he saw his nephew star as Magneto in the new Xmen movie Days of Future Past, local man Mike Collins stated: “I took my son to see Xmen last night.

“To be honest, I’m not a big Xmen fan, but the movie I saw last night was brilliant.”

The most recent installation in the Xmen blockbuster franchise sees Xmen characters from the past and present unite to fight for the survival of their species.

Michael and his parents

Michael Fassbender has a special link to Larne, as his mother Adele is from the area and he regularly visited his grandparents at the town’s Wellington Parade during his childhood.

Michael was born in Germany, his father’s native land, before his family moved to Kilarney.

His uncle Mike recalled: “Michael would have been here on numerous occasions – Christmas, family get togethers.

“The last time he was in Larne would have been four years ago for my wedding reception at Ballygally castle.

Michael and his dad

“He always wanted to be an actor, since he was very young – since primary and secondary school he was always involved in some form of acting and drama.

“He was also a bit of a musician and played everything, including the guitar, which he still plays.”

Mike says that the family is very proud of their famous son, who worked ‘very, very hard‘ to make it in Hollywood.

He continued: “I thought he was brilliant in 12 Years A Slave and in Hunger.

“He has had some brilliant roles, but 12 Years A Slave is probably my favourite.

As one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood right now, Michael Fassbender definitely has his pick of projects. From big blockbusters and franchises to more character-driven work, he continues to surprise us with where he shows up. With films like Prometheus 2, Assassin’s Creed and Derek Cianfrance’s The Light Between Oceans all on his slate, the actor is hoping to continue to keep busy and for his next outing, will shoot a heist thriller titled Trespass Against Us.

Set to begin production this summer, the Adam Smith-directed film co-stars Brendan Gleeson, Rory Kinnear, Sean Harris, Killian Scott and Lyndsey Marshal. It will tell the story of the Cutler family, “who live as outlaws, hunting hares, ram-raiding stately homes and taunting the police. As the letter of the law finally catches up with Chad (Fassbender), he is torn between the archaic principles of his father (Gleeson) and what he believes is best for his children.”

If you recall, Fassbender was actually in talks for the role back in the Fall, but now it appears that he’s officially on board and that it will be his next film. No word on a release date yet, but with production getting underway this summer, it shouldn’t be too long before we see it hit theatres.

Bradley Cooper Dines With Michael Fassbender In London (SOCIALITE LIFE)

Actor Bradley Cooper pictured leaving the Wolseley after having a meal with Michael Fassbender and his girlfriend before heading back to the Bulgari Hotel in London, England on May 24, 2013

Actors Bradley Cooper and Michael Fassbender, along with Michael’s new girlfriend, enjoyed a meal together last night (May 24, 2013) at the London restaurant Wolseley.

Afterwards, the group carried on the party at The Bulgari Hotel in Kensington till 1am. There was no sign of Bradley’s girlfriend Suki Waterhouse. Maybe she wasn’t grooving on the mini-ponytail that Bradley was sporting. It would definitely be a deal killer for me.

Michael Fassbender: Assassin's Creed movie gets a release date of May 22, 2015. Reported by Mike E on Sunday, May 19 2013 2:35 am

20th Century Fox has officially scheduled a released date for the Assassin’s Creed movie. Box Office Mojo is reporting that the movie being produced by New Regency is slated to release on May 22, 2015. You might find some good news and bad news in the distant release date: the bad news being that it’s far away, and the good news being that they might take the extra time to create a better movie.

Speaking of the quality, it definitely has a nice name attached to it.  The always popular Michael Fassbender is producing and starring in the movie himself. The script will be written by Michael Lesslie, who according to his imdb page doesn’t seem to have many works that we can judge him off of just yet.

Regardless, it’s nice to see that there is an actual release date for this thing; now we just have to exercise our patience. I’m sure that’s something gamers are good at.

Ten Reasons Why Michael Fassbender is The Man Why Michael Fassbender is the best Hollywood actor to don the Assassin's hood. by Lucy O'Brien JULY 10, 2012 (IGN)

It’s hard to name a young working actor in Hollywood with more credibility than Michael Fassbender. The Irish/German thesp has shot up the Hollywood ladder of late thanks to a series of carefully chosen roles appealing to cinephiles and comic fans alike – and with the recent announcement of his role in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie, he’s gaining new attention from legions of gamers. Whether you’re a new or an established Fass Fan, here are ten reasons why Michael Fassbender is The Man.

He's Got Style

One can’t deny Fassbender’s almost insistent suaveness. X-Men: First Class showed us the guy can rock a vintage leather jacket, and his subsequent turn as a wealthy New Yorker in 2011 drama Shame proved he can turn any look into instant cool. For a franchise drenched in as much lavish style as Assassin's Creed, the recent GQ Magazine cover boy couldn't be more suited to don the hood.

He Stood Out in a Tarantino Cast

Fassbender's performance as the extremely British Lt. Archie Hicox in Quentin Tarantino's 2009 Inglorious Basterds is a stand-out amongst a stand-out cast. It's true that Tarantino traditionally enjoys lengthy speeches from his characters, sometimes to a fault, but Fassbender's wordy French tavern scene is so perfectly executed it comes close to stealing the entire movie. Here was an actor teetering on the edge of stardom, and having a hell of a lot of fun while doing it.
