A naked Charlie Hunnam Explains Comic-Con Absence in Hilarious Video

ACES SHOWBIZ

Charlie Hunnam had a special message for "Sons of Anarchy" fans at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend to explain his no-show. The hilarious video has now landed online for viewing pleasure.

In the clip, Hunnam goes naked as gets a massage from co-star Mark Boone Jr. "Hello, lovely people of Comic-Con. I'm recording you this message because unfortunately I can't be with you this year," the Jax depicter begins explaining his absence. "I hate to miss Comic-Con on the final season of the show, but for the future and safety of America, my presence is required elsewhere."

Boone Jr. interrupts Hunnam and snarkily says that Hunnam would skip Comic-Con for a photoshoot for Vogue magazine. Tommy Flanagan, who gives Hunnam a manicure, hits Boone Jr. with a towel to warn him to be careful with his words. The "Pacific Rim" star later scolds Boone Jr. for rubbing him too hard.

Kim Coates is also featured as Hunnam's servant, serving Hunnam with the beverage he doesn't like and getting water thrown in his face as the consequence. Coates later annoys Boone Jr. with his giant fan.

Elle Richardson meets Benedict Cumberbatch at Oz Comic-Con Adelaide

TNT MAGAZINE
10th Apr 2014 1:15pm | By Elle Richardson

Elle and Benedict Cumberbatch

Yes - it finally happened. I met Benedict Cumberbatch... in Adelaide.

Benedict Cumberbatch is nothing short of a superstar - albeit a reluctant one. At 37, he has a prolific career, but is best known for his modern portrayal of Sherlock on the BBC. His appearance at Oz Comic-Con Adelaide was a clear indication of his growing popularity in Australia, with crowds lining up for hours for photos and autographs on both days.

Aside from being the owner of the famed 'cumberbooty' coveted by thousands of fans worldwide, he is intelligent, talented and surprisingly humble. Panels at Oz Comic-Con Adelaide revealed he is also an advocateof prisoner education through the provision of books, and perhaps even more admirably, he freely discussed the importance of talking about mental health - despite the chance of negative publicity. When asked by me in his first panel where he would go and what he would do if he had a day off in any city in the world, he initially stated the Barossa Valley (a wine region in South Australia), eliciting cheers from the crowd.

He then said he preferred to “head for the hills”, getting back to nature and enjoying some privacy, which I’d imagine is rare these days for someone so recognisable.

As one of 50 lucky meet and greet participants on Saturday night, I was already delirious, having packed and flown in early that morning. Needless to say I was gobsmacked when Benedict bounded in with a Tigger-like exuberance that seemed superhuman in the circumstances. This was amplified when he commented (as he sat down) that WE must have all had a long day.

He listened earnestly to questions and gave thoughtful, eloquent answers, keeping everyone smiling with his sparkling conversation, peppered with the odd delightfully-accented swear word. In the quick 10 minutes he was at my table he answered two questions, discussing the motivations behind his character Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, and my own question about the intricacies of voice acting in Cabin Pressure.

TOM HIDDLESTON WINS 2013 CELEB OF THE YEAR: HIS 13 BEST MOMENTS FROM THE PAST YEAR

BUSTLE
By Martha Sorren
December 31, 2013

Tom Hiddleston is poised to win this year’s E! Online ‘Celeb of the Year’ contest. The winner will be announced tonight after he and competition Ian Somerhalder went head-to-head in a poll earlier this week. Hiddleston totally deserves to win after the year he’s had touring the world to promote Thor 2: The Dark World and making press stops look like the most fun in the world. Thank goodness he was Marvel’s PR monkey though, because that means we got a lot of Tom in 2013. Needless to say it was hard to choose just his top 13 moments, but I gave it a shot.

1. DANCING AND KNOCKING THINGS OVER
I could make a whole post just about best times Tom Hiddleston’s danced (hint: the answer is all the times), but I’ve chosen to focus on when he dances and it just so uncontrollably excited that he isn’t responsible for the damages he inflicts on inanimate objects. On the Asia leg of his tour he first introduced his moves to us and we felt like the chair he kicked over. But in a good way. We felt kicked over with delight.

2. THE SLUMBER PARTY
Hiddles in pajamas sitting on a bed talking about the time he saw Chris Hemsworth naked and introducing the Snake Hips dance move to us? Yes please.

3. THAT TIME HE CRASHED COMIC CON
In full on Loki gear and then proceeded to give everyone in the room orders which they all obeyed because obviously.

4. HIS STINT ON KOREAN SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE
I don’t know how they convinced him to do some of the sketches in this, but I’m glad they did because now we have an old woman titty-twisting Tom for posterity.

5. THAT TIME HE SURPRISED UNDERPRIVILEGED KIDS WITH A THOR 2 SCREENING
Because he’s amazingly nice, he took time out of his schedule to throw a surprise screening of Thor 2 for some of New York City’s underprivileged children. They thought they were just lucky enough to see the movie, but also got to meet Hiddleston. “Oh my God, I screamed for my life,” 13-year-old Bryonnah Justinian said of the moment Hiddleston stepped onto the stage. But the best part about the actor is that it wasn’t even a chore for him. He said, “There are armies of people behind the scenes who do tireless work on behalf of children all over the world. So it’s nothing for me to turn up and introduce a screening for them.”

6. LOKI ARGUES WITH KIDS
Further proving that he’d be about the best dad ever, Hiddleston booked another gig with some kids to promote the movie. In the skit he argues with a bunch of children about why Loki is better than Thor. It’s truly precious.

Sir Ian, 74, will officiate the wedding of his X-Men co-star/good friend Patrick Stewart, 73, and it sounds like Ian is also ready for his own walk down the aisle.

In a cheeky segment at Comic-Con, the Lord of the Rings star said he was happy to be back in California.

"I feel safe here now that you got rid of Prop. 8. I'm looking for a husband," Ian said (via Huffington Post). He then turned to his X-Men co-star Michael Fassbender. "It's great to meet you, Michael."

Henry Cavill at Comic Con Talks Love Life For First Time After Kaley Cuoco Split

Henry Cavill at Comic Con Talks Love Life For First Time After Kaley Cuoco Split

BY SIYANA RILEY

CELEB DIRTY LAUNDRY

Henry Cavill was at the Superman panel at Comic-Con earlier on Saturday, and although the big news was the confirmed Batman/Superman sequel, Henry did spend some time discussing his love life.

As we all know, Henry’s love life has been at the center of tabloid news for the past few weeks, and his showmance with Kaley Cuoco has been debated endlessly on the Internet. But what does Henry think about the public discussion on his private life?

Well, firstly, he’s asked about how his life has changed since Man of Steel came out in theaters. His reply was, “The private life is considerably reduced.” When the interviewer adds that she’s seen stories on his love life in the news every week, he says, “Everyone seems to know where I am, what I’m doing, and you know, it’s interesting, but it’s new and I’m just going to have to adapt to it. You’ve just got to take it in stride and see how it goes. Nothing in life, no big change in life is easy, but you have to look for the positives in that change and that’s what I’m trying doing.”

Nice dodge there, Henry. I think he was scared about where the interview was going when the topic came to his love life in the news, but he wasn’t pressed about any specifics.

On hand to open up the panel was Tom Hiddleston, who appeared as "Thor: The Dark World's" Loki. Well, he didn't so much "appear" at first. The massive Hall H went dark before Loki's voice rang out: "Humanity, look how far you've fallen ... lining up in the sweltering heat for hours.
Huddling together in the dark like beasts!" Marvel Studios President and Producer Kevin Feige then brought Hiddleston onstage in full Loki costume to ask, "Where are your Avengers now?"

NEWS/ The Following at Comic-Con 2013: James Purefoy Makes Surprise Appearance, Returning For Season 2

The Following

TV SCOOP
by Tierney Bricker

Talk about a killer return!

Though he wasn't scheduled to attend 2013 Comic-Con, James Purefoy made a surprise appearance at The Following's panel on Friday, joining executive producers Kevin Williamson and Marcos Siega and actors Kevin Bacon, Shawn Ashmore and Valorie Curry.

And though his iconic serial killer character Joe Carroll was supposedly killed off in the finale (being inside a building that blows up tends to do that), it was announced that Purefoy will be returning as a series regular for the Fox hit's highly anticipated second season, debuting January 2014. We guess Joe had a few more tricks up his sleeve after all!

Purefoy popped up in character to make the announcement via a "phone call" with Bacon's Ryan. "On the contrary, Ryan, I'm very much alive and kicking," he said.  "My apologies for not calling sooner…You didn't really think you could do a Comic-Con panel without me?"

Henry Cavill: Comic-Con 2012: ‘Man of Steel’ wows crowd with first look at new Superman By Eric Pfeiffer | Movie Talk – Sat, Jul 14, 2012 8:27 PM EDT (YAHOO)

Director Zack Snyder and "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill promised to reinvent Superman for a modern generation.

"We certainly respect the history," Snyder told 6,000 screaming fans at Saturday's Comic Con panel. "But I kind of felt like Superman needed to be reintroduced to a new generation," Snyder said. "He's always been like this Boy Scout on top of a mountain and you can't really touch him."

"I just wanted to bring Superman into the modern world," Cavill added. "Hopefully I bring a version that everyone can relate to."

Snyder screened the first-ever footage from the film, which premiers next June.

The trailer opens on the Kent family farm in Kansas with nostalgic shots of an overturned child's toy wagon and what appears to be a young Clark Kent running through the yard with a homemade red cape on his back.

The voice of Russell Crowe, who plays Superman's father Jor El, narrates the opening moments. "What if a child dreamed of becoming something other than society intended?" Crowe asks. "What if he aspired to be something greater?"

The footage then cuts to a grown up Clark Kent dressed in street clothes, walking alone along a snow-covered road, carrying a backpack.

The trailer clip then returns to footage of a young Clark lifting a school bus that has fallen off of a bridge into the water. The voice of a woman says off-screen, "My son was in the bus. He saw what Clark did," as a young Clark is seen lifting the bus from the water.

Henry Cavill: ‘Man of Steel’ Makes the Comic-Con Audience Weep, Fawn Over Henry Cavill Published: July 14, 2012 @ 5:48 pm (THE WRAP) By Lucas Shaw

The new Superman movie, ‘Man of Steel,’ overwhelmed Comic-Con fans to the point that one of them broke into tears while asking a question.

All the man wanted to know was who the villain would be, but director Zack Snyder and star Henry Cavill remained cagey about the reboot, hoping to keep as much as they could under wraps.

Though they would not reveal any details, Snyder did remind people that this will not pick up where past ones left off. They are reinventing the franchise.

“Superman needed to be reintroduced to a generation,” Snyder said.

“When we started working on the movie, we knew the comic book character existed, we knew the movies existed, but we had to act as if no film had been made.”

That means no John Williams score and no references to Christopher Reeve.

SAN DIEGO — There are lots of people dressed like Superman at Comic-Con, but the real guy - or at least the actor playing him in the latest Superman film - made a surprise appearance at the fan festival.

"Man of Steel" director Zack Snyder presented new footage from the film on Saturday and introduced star Henry Cavill to an audience of more than 6,000 fans.

The British actor said "it's a dream come true" to play the iconic superhero, but confessed "it is pretty intense."

The footage showed Clark Kent as a boy and Cavill in his super suit, along with glimpses of co-stars Amy Adams and Russell Crowe.

Snyder said the film will make Superman more relatable than previous depictions that showed him as "a big blue Boy Scout up on the throne and you can't really touch him."
