Michael Fassbender sightings in Bay Area as Steve Jobs shoot carries on, seeks extras

OK, who cares if Michael Fassbender looks nothing like Steve Jobs? Hotness feelers are out and tingling in anticipation of stumbling into the star in black turtleneck guise as shooting of “Steve Jobs,” the Aaron Sorkin-penned, Danny Boyle-directed biopic based on the 2011 Walter Isaacson biography, continues around the Bay Area. Yes, this is cinematic reboot at the center of the hacked Sony email upchuck/uproar that embarrassingly saw Sorkin allegedly griping to Sony/Columbia Pictures chairman Amy Pascal and producer Scott Rudin, “I don’t know who Michael Fassbender is and the rest of the world isn’t going to care.”

Sorkin later came around, writing that Fassbender is “a great actor whose time has come.” Understandable since the actor has proven himself fully capable of heating up the shadows and turning on the nuance when it comes the most troubled or villainous characters, from “Shame”‘s sex addict to the “X-Men” franchise’s Magneto to “12 Years a Slave”‘s rapey plantation owner.

So Fassbender fans have been getting dreamy about running into the hunk as he hunkers down to chomp broccoli amid the crunchy, high-’70s hippie coziness of La Med in Berkeley, holes up in the garage of Jobs’ childhood home in Los Altos, strolls the bland office parks of Silicon Valley, or maybe even introduces a benighted NeXT product or two at Davies Symphony Hall. This week yielded a blurry yeti-like sighting at a SF cafe — though that grainy backside could belong to any ole “toothy-smiled Irish/German sex god” (as the F— Yeah, Michael Fassbender! Tumblr puts it).

Jennifer Lawrence Will Romance Michael Fassbender in the Next X-Men Movie

Winning an Oscar and being part of two mega-franchises at the same time isn’t easy, even for the seemingly super-human Jennifer Lawrence. Though she remains front and center of the Hunger Games franchise, Lawrence’s role as Mystique in the new X-Men films is more of a supporting part, and in last year’s X-Men: Days of Future Past Mystique played a crucial but relatively small role, seemingly allowing Lawrence to take a step back (or rush off to another set).

That won’t happen with the next X-Men adventure, it seems. In an article documenting just how busy Lawrence will be in the next few months, The Hollywood Reporter says that X-Men: Apocalypse is “being crafted” around Lawrence’s Mystique and Michael Fassbender’s Magneto, including a romance between the two of them. Sparks have flown between the characters since the first film, and the last one featured a memorable, intimate conversation between them in a cramped phone booth, so it makes sense for these two crazy mutants to take things to the next level.

PUBLISHED: OCTOBER 28, 2014 20:40

There are a lot of hugely talented German-Irish man stars in the acting industry these days, with many of them considered some of the most sought after stars in Hollywood, taking on some of the biggest roles around. One of the biggest German stars in Hollywood right now, is the handsome actor Michael Fassbender, who has enjoyed a huge rise to Hollywood superstardom over the years.

Over the years, we have seen Michael Fassbender taking on some very impressive roles, in some very exciting movies, giving us some fantastic performances along the way. During the course of his career, we have seen Michael appearing in movies such as 300, Inglorious Basterds, X-Men: First Class, Prometheus, 12 Years a Slave, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Frank, to name just a few.

Michael Fassbender is far from finished yet though, as his Hollywood career is showing no signs of slowing down, with plenty of impressive movie roles coming in the next few years. Michael will appear in the movies Trespass Against Us, The Light Between Oceans, Slow West, Macbeth, and an untitled Terrence Malick project, which are all in production. Meanwhile, Fassbender will also appear in Irish Myths, Assassin's Creed, Prometheus 2, and X-Men: Apocalypse, which are all in development.

Michael Fassbender ‘Frank’ Interview: ‘X-men’ Star Shares Discomfort While Inside The Mascot Head ; Indie Movie Set For August 15 Release

By Staff Writer | August 15, 2014 11:32 PM EDT

Michael Fassbender 'Frank' interview: The "X-men" star reveals in an interview on MTV that he has trouble seeing clearly while wearing the head mascot for the indie movie "Frank" set to be released on August 15.  Fans will miss Fassbender's emotive eyes that won him awards for "12 Years A Slave" and "Prometheus" as he is said to wear this big head in the entire movie runtime.

"Definitely can't see not that much at all, very peripheral vision. I can see nothing in front," he said. "For me, the hardest part with the head is singing inside the head and working on an accent and putting the head on. It's like speaking in a box because that's essentially what it is. The reverb inside there took a bit of getting used to."

"Frank" is a low-key, dark comedy film directed by Lenny Abrahamson and is about the life and career of Chris Sievey, widely known as Frank Sidebottom, who has his heyday in the 1990s. The fake head hides Sidebottom's face while he is said to tour film writer, John Burrough (Domhnall Gleeson), a musician wannabe, whom he hired as a keyboard player. However, Burrough'S role actually is not just focused on making song arrangements but also in embellishing and editing them.

Moscow’s magnetic pull for Michael: Fassbender does the tourist thing and pops a snap or two around the Russian capital

EVOKE
May 17, 2014

From Russia With Love: Irish actor  Michael Fassbender takes in the sights of Moscow on Friday

He’s one of the biggest movie stars in the world, but when it comes to sight seeing Michael Fassbender is just like the rest of us: a goofy tourist.

The 37-year-old actor was spotted taking in the beauties of Russia’s capital city on Friday, just days after walking the red carpet at the Moscow premiere of his latest film X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

Dressed smartly in a pair of black dress shoes, jeans, a white shirt and crisp black suit jacket, the Irish star was indistinguishable from any other tourist.

As he walked around the picturesque Red Square accompanied by several security guards, Fassbender didn’t hesitate to crouch down and take the odd snap.

It was a decidedly upbeat side of the Oscar-nominated performer, who is best known for taking on dark and dramatic roles – such as that of mutant leader Magneto in the X-Men franchise.

The actor plays a younger version of the character in the two most recent installments in the franchise, with the role previously being filled by Sir Ian McKellan.

Michael Fassbender: Magneto spin-off film in the works, says X-Force creator (METRO) by By Sarah Deen

Magneto movie on the way?
Michael Fassbender is reprising his role as Magneto in X-Men: Days of Future Past Will he be involved with a Magneto movie? (Picture: Twitter/Bryan Singer)

Robert Liefeld, creator of X-Force and Deadpool, has said that a Magneto film is on the way. Answering questions from fans regarding the upcoming X-Force film, Liefeld teased that a Magneto movie is coming, but comic-book heads should not take his words as gospel.

He wrote: ‘When they cast an X-Force film then its reason to celebrate. They have a Magneto film in ‘development’ as well. Proceed with caution’.

Michael Fassbender was the last actor to step into Magneto’s metal-bending helmet for X-Men: First Class. He is reprising the role in Bryan Singer’s follow-up film X-Men Days of Future Past. There is no word on whether he will be playing the titular character Magneto’s solo film

The news comes after an X-Force film was confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter and later Liefeld himself, with writer Jeff Wadlow attached to pen the screenplay and also direct.

Michael Fassbender: More Revealing Photos Tweeted From The ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Set WRITTEN BY ROBOPANDA / 06.06.13 | (UPROXX)

Michael Fassbender like one of your French girls in X-Men: First Class

Bryan Singer has been tweeting set pictures from X-Men: Days of Future Past. Now he’s tweeted a picture of Michael Fassbender as Magneto levitating outside of a building which looks similar to Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters (AKA Professor X’s boyhood home in X-Men: First Class). Singer captioned this photo, “The dark knight rises.” That was also the slugline for Shame, right?

Is she not with you? Michael Fassbender 'screams' at mystery blonde to keep her distance after going on dates with British Olympian By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Something to hide? Michael Fassbender 'screamed' at a mystery girl to step away from him in Montreal

He's used to female fans screaming his name.

But Michael Fassbender was reportedly the one raising his voice to a girl in Montreal on Saturday.

A source said the 36-year old Irish actor - who is supposedly dating British Olympian Louise Hazel - was walking with the mystery woman, but as soon as he saw a camera he reportedly 'screamed' at her to keep her distance.

Michael wore black jeans and T-shirt, some Toms shoes, and covered his eyes with some aviator sunglasses; but with her hands on her hips, the blonde-haired girl didn't look too impressed with Michael's words.

Wearing a blue cap and a long plait with a loose black vest, skinny jeans and lace-up, peep-toe heels,  she still seemed to follow him off the sidewalk and all the way into another building.

The actor was in Montreal on a day off from filming the latest Marvel installment called X men: Days Of Future's Past where he will be reprising his role of Magneto.
