Hollywood actor Hugh Grant "spotted in Croyde" (THIS IS NORTH DEVON)
Celebrity spotters were heading to Croyde today after reports that Hollywood actor Hugh Grant was visiting the area.
The Four Weddings And A Funeral star was said to have spent time in The Thatch pub last night and at a local golf course this morning.
On Twitter Katy Williams posted yesterday: "Saw the rather dashing Hugh Grant in Braunton today, just casually milling around!"
Nikki Gimber tweeted today: "Eek Hugh Grant at golf club this morning!!" and Lauren Kirstie posted: "Hugh Grant was at The Thatch yesterday, if I was working I could've met him, but I wasn't, oh."
Another user said: "My family went into Croyde yesterday and met Hugh Grant, oh how I wish I'd gone."
But there were conflicting reports that people had been duped by a lookalike.
One tweet read: "Hugh Grant film double fools entire village."
And @croydesurfclub conceded that their tweet: "Just had a champagne breakfast with Hugh Grant, it was divine!!!" was a joke.

Hugh Grant Relieved Ex Was Granted Paparazzi Ban (FEMALE FIRST)
Hugh Grant feared he would lose contact with his daughter if his ex Tinglan Hong was unable to obtain a court order banning the paparazzi from harassing her - because she was ready to jet back to her native China and take his baby with her.
The Notting Hill star became a first-time father in October (11) following a brief fling with Chinese model/actress Hong, but he worried he'd have to fly to the Far East to see his child when his ex complained about her lack of privacy in London.
She was forced to appeal to the U.K. authorities to help protect her and her daughter after finding herself constantly hounded by photographers. Luckily for Grant, she was granted a protective order prohibiting harassment in November (11) and the actor, who is still "very friendly" with his one-time lover, is relieved things worked out.

Big, cuddly, soft and a fine father figure, Brendan Gleeson would seem to be ideally cut out for the role as Papa Smurf when he joins the cast of the sequel to the 2011 movie, The Smurfs.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Gleeson has been confirmed as one of the new faces in the follow up to the hugely successful CG/live action hybrid, which grossed over $560 million worldwide.
Unfortunately for Gleeson fans looking forward to the possibility of him donning a red suit, rocking a bushy white beard and dispensing worldly wisdom to the Smurf villagers, Gleeson will not be playing Papa Smurf, but Victor Doyle, stepfather to the character Patrick Winslow, who was played by Neil Patrick Harris in the original movie.

Hugh Grant: Yes, Fatherhood Is Life-Changing After All (PEOPLE)
Just last month, Hugh Grant didn’t seem entirely sure about whether fatherhood had changed him. Now, he’s willing to concede it has indeed.
“Everyone was right all these years, saying, ‘Hugh, why don’t you have some children? It changes your life,’ ” the actor, 51, and dad to 6-month-old daughter Tabitha, says in an interview Friday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“Now that I have [a child], it is life changing,” he says. “I recommend it. Get some!”

Hugh Grant teased Billy Bob Thornton during 'Love Actually'about his Disraeli phobia By KAREN BUTLER, United Press International (UPI)
NEW YORK, April 26 (UPI) -- British actor Hugh Grant admits to taunting his "Love Actually" co-star Billy Bob Thornton about his phobia of former British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli.
In the 2003 romantic comedy, Grant played the prime minister of Britain, while Thornton played the president of the United States.
Grant said he couldn't resist teasing his co-star when he heard Thornton suffered from numerous phobias, including European antique furniture and silverware, as well as images of Disraeli.
Grant recalled his interaction with Thornton when asked by reporters in New York last week how he felt about the silly, sinister ways Queen Victoria and scientist/writer Charles Darwin are portrayed as characters in his new animated movie, "The Pirates! Band of Misfits."
"Oh, that was a big plus. I hate those two. I've always hated those two," Grant joked.

Hugh Grant said that he would be rarely recognisable both in appearance and voice in Sony Pictures animated swashbuckler 'The Pirates! Band Of Misfits.' However, one thing that is instantly familiar with the English actor is the slew of good reviews that another of his films has gotten.
Playing the voice of The Pirate Captain in the film, Grant and the film's bosses can be relieved that the movie's gotten excellent praise from critics. "A script that consistently finds fresh outlets for its running gags makes for a sufficiently rollicking pleasure cruise from Britain's Aardman Animations..." said The Village Voice, whilst Film 4 commented "A funny, thoroughly enjoyable and oddly subversive film: at a time when Cgi reigns in family films and Elizabeth Windsor celebrates a jubilee, here's a film where puppets battle a fiendish regal villain." Time Out meanwhile said "A brilliant mish-mash of styles and genres, crammed with ideas and intelligence and carried off with a sense of rebellious fun and breathtaking invention not seen since, well, 'The Wrong Trousers'. Glorious."

Hugh Grant talks about on his daughter Tabitha and how her mother actress Tinglan Hong was mistreated by media (The Daily Telegraph)

HUGH Grant, who will be in Sydney in two weeks, has spoken for the first time about being father.
Grant, who is promoting animated movie The Pirates! Band of Misfits, told The Guardian that he has enjoyed spending time with his daughter, whose English name is Tabitha, but admitted that she has not changed his life.
"Lots of people warned me ... that the baby period is not that exciting," he said. "But I am excited, actually. I thought, well, I'll bluff through - but very little bluffing has been required.
"I like my daughter very much. Fantastic. Has she changed my life? I'm not sure. Not yet. Not massively, no. But I'm absolutely thrilled to have had her, I really am. And I feel a better person."
Grant said that he feels less selfish but denied that he has ever been "entirely me, me, me".
"I've had other family I look after; I have an elderly father who's not very well at the moment," he said. Granted added that he did not cry but felt "a little lumpy" when he first met his daughter. He also admitted to feeling a certain amount of pride in her existence, saying:
"There probably is some truth that one of our main functions on the planet is to reproduce, because it feels like more of an achievement than it should do. Which is nonsense, really. "But yesterday I took my daughter to see my father, who's in hospital, and all the nurses were cooing over her. And I felt, well, pride."
