Theo James Jokes About Dying After Deflowering Michelle Dockery's Lady Mary on Downton Abbey

E.
by ZACH JOHNSON

Years before he was cast as Four in the Divergent movie, Theo James had a brief but memorable role on PBS' Downton Abbey. The 29-year-old actor stopped by E!'s Chelsea Lately Tuesday, where he opened up about deflowering Michelle Dockery's Lady Mary during the show's first season in 2010.

"I first saw you on Downton Abbey and you had sex with Lady Mary and then you died," host Chelsea Handler told James, whose character, Kemal Pamuk, died of a heart attack in the throes of passion.

"We did that method style," James joked of his now sex scene with Dockery, which was inspired by true events. "Obviously not the death, but I said that I had to do it full-on and be there in the moment in the castle doing it full penetration." He added, "It's incredible sex for him to die midway through."

"Have you ever passed away during sex before?" Handler asked, smiling. "No," the Brit replied.

Michelle Dockery on the red carpet (WENN)

"Downton Abbey" star Michelle Dockery was on "Chelsea Lately" Thursday (Feb. 27) to promote her new movie, "Non-Stop," which co-stars Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore.

Below, Dockery regales host Chelsea Handler with a story from the set of how Moore would make fun of how massive Neeson is: "There he goes, texting away with his giant thumbs." Side note: Dockery does a killer Julianne Moore voice.

Dockery also had two very funny anecdotes about the Rolling Stones, who are big "Downton Abbey" fans.

Apparently, at the Met Gala, Mick Jagger came "straight over" to Dockery and co-star Laura Carmichael and just says, "Hello, I'm Mick." Dockery displays for Handler the huge grin she got on her face, totally star-struck, and says she rather disbelievingly said to him, "I know!"

Amy Adams talks daughter's crush on 'Man of Steel's' Henry Cavill (L A TIMES)

By Nardine Saad
June 11, 2013, 6:00 a.m.

Well, the Ministry isn't the only one with a Krypton-sized crush on "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill. Apparently, Cavill's costar Amy Adams is dealing with a little fan of her own.

Sitting down for an interview on "Chelsea Lately" last week, Adams, who plays reporter/love interest to Cavill's Superman, said her 3-year-old daughter Aviana had quite a hankering for the leading man too.

"It started when she met him, she liked the look of the 'suit,' so when he turned around ... she goosed him," Adams told Chelsea Handler, demonstrating her daughter's impish behavior.

"You know what Henry said, 'Like mother, like daughter!'"

She added: "He's funny, he's got a good sense of humor."

The actress previously boasted that Cavill, 30, was a comely fit for the role in Zach Snyder's upcoming film, which comes concurrently with the 75th anniversary of the comic book hero.

"It takes a second to adjust, because Henry's just so good-looking," Adams recently told Details of her big-screen costar. "He's dashing with just a hint of danger, and it's kinda great. It's super-hidden. But you know there's a steeliness within him that makes the gentlemanly qualities all the more interesting."

Adams, 38, said that she auditioned twice to be Lois Lane (one film never got made), a pursuit that appeared to stem from her own lifelong thing for the last son of Krypton.

Reese Witherspoon may have been the leading lady in ‘This Means War’ but it was her costars Chelsea Handler and Tom Hardy who deserved a big round of applause.

Witherspoon stars as Lauren, a consumer products tester who dates two CIA operatives at the same time.

When the agents and best friends FDR (Chris Pine) and Tuck (Hardy) find out they are dating the same woman, the claws come out as they battle it out for her affection using extreme spy tactics.

The love triangle gets even messier when villain Heinrish, played by ‘Inglorious Basterds' star Til Schweiger, seeks his revenge on the agents over the death of his brother.

Hardy injected his cheeky British humour as Tuck who charms his love interest with his sweet and charismatic persona. The actor's romantic comedy part shows his versatility as a leading man after playing more serious roles in ‘Batman,’ ‘Inception’ and ‘Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy’.

US TV host Handler was the other stand out as she brought her famously candid sense of humour to her role as Trish who acts as a sounding board for her best friend Lauren as she struggles to choose between the two men.

Tom Hardy, Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine - ET video for This Means War

Who's the Better Kisser, Chris Pine or Tom Hardy?

By DAVID WEINER
February 03, 2012
Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy form a hilariously dangerous love triangle in their new action-comedy This Means War, and they're sharing some laughs about their new spy vs. spy movie with ET special guest correspondent Katherine Schwarzenegger.
So, who is the better kisser? "Obviously I am," brags Tom. "I just answered that, and we'll move on to the next [question]. There's no argument."
"Yeah, let's get on with it, I don't want to fight it," smiles Chris.
As for prepping for those kissing scenes, Tom advises, "Altoids. You gotta have an Altoid. That's the standard form, yeah."
"I thought it was tuna sandwiches," replies Reese.

Tom Hardy: This Means War clips (MTV)

If you missed it, we chatted with "This Means War" leading lady Reese Witherspoon last night during an MTV First dedicated to the flick. Her onscreen character Lauren is lucky -- or, rather, unlucky -- enough to start dating two men who turn out to be best buddies and coworkers at the CIA.

During the event, we debuted two new clips from the film, which you can check out right now. The first plays up the action side of the movie, with one of Witherspoon's beaus, FDR (Chris Pine), crashing her date with the other, Tuck (Tom Hardy). And we mean literally crashing: when Lauren goes to collect herself in the bathroom after the surprise appearance, FDR and Tuck manage to destroy the restaurant.

The second clip shows off the romantic, lighter side of the flick. Tuck and FDR take full advantage of their CIA skills and perks in this war over love and apparently end up bugging Lauren's apartment. They have to listen as Lauren's friend, played by Chelsea Handler, makes her list of the flaws that the two men have. In the end, she gives herself a deadline of one week to decide which man she's going to end up dating.

New Images of Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hardy, Chris Pine In 'This Means War' Released (Photos) (The Hollywood Reporter)

Just a Little Not-So-Friendly Competition
Twentieth Century Fox

The rom-com-meets-spy film from McG, also starring Chelsea Handler, opens Feb. 17.

There's still more than a month before This Means War hits theaters, but the McG-directed film has released six new stills. The rom-com, starring Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy, doubles as a spy-thirller, with Pine and Hardy acting as CIA operatives who discover they're dating the same girl.
Instead of backing down, the men engage in a friendly (though weapon-heavy) competition to win Witherspoon's heart.

The film's Facebook page has been focusing on the rivalry, promoting separate #TeamHardy vs. #TeamPine hashtags.

Chelsea Handler also stars as Witherspoon's quick-witted best friend.

For the 20th consecutive year, Hollywood's most powerful women broke bread at the Beverly Hills Hotel to celebrate their achievements in entertainment.

Former Paramount Pictures chief Sherry Lansing lauded her friend Jane Fonda on Wednesday for her pioneering work in film, fitness, philanthropy and activism.

Actress Kirsten Dunst and Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal presented a tribute to Laura Ziskin. The late filmmaker and Stand Up To Cancer founder helped raise more than $180 million for research before succumbing to the disease in June.

"The Help" author Kathryn Stockett and stars Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer saluted Hollywood's future female talents: 12 Los Angeles-area high school juniors who will be mentored by female entertainment executives for the next year.

Chelsea Handler and Kate Bosworth also attended the event.
