Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have a dance-off at the Met Gala (VIDEO)

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
BY MAHITA GAJANAN • @MAHITAGAJANAN

There’s nothing like a good old-fashioned dance-off to heat up an event.

New pals Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston hit the floor at the Met Gala on Monday night and got into a dance-off to T.I.’s “Bring ‘Em Out.” Swift, wearing a Louis Vuitton dress that afforded her plenty of shimmying room, slid and twirled on the floor, while an agile Hiddleston accompanied her with plenty of twists and hand movements — although it’s tough to tell who won.

Michelle Dockery on the red carpet (WENN)

"Downton Abbey" star Michelle Dockery was on "Chelsea Lately" Thursday (Feb. 27) to promote her new movie, "Non-Stop," which co-stars Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore.

Below, Dockery regales host Chelsea Handler with a story from the set of how Moore would make fun of how massive Neeson is: "There he goes, texting away with his giant thumbs." Side note: Dockery does a killer Julianne Moore voice.

Dockery also had two very funny anecdotes about the Rolling Stones, who are big "Downton Abbey" fans.

Apparently, at the Met Gala, Mick Jagger came "straight over" to Dockery and co-star Laura Carmichael and just says, "Hello, I'm Mick." Dockery displays for Handler the huge grin she got on her face, totally star-struck, and says she rather disbelievingly said to him, "I know!"

Downton to designer: Michelle Dockery is a vision in black and gold as she leads the best of British at the New York Met Ball By GEORGINA LITTLEJOHN (DAILY MAIL)

It was one of the surprise smash-hit imports that took America by storm and brought the Crawley family into their hearts.

So it was only fitting that one of the Downton Abbey ladies should be present at one of the US's biggest nights on the showbiz calendar.

And having a lead role on a show that has been praised for its detailed costume design, Michelle Dockery didn't let the side down as she arrived at last night's Met Gala in New York in a stunning black and gold dress.

Her hair was swept and tied back and her drop gold earring completed the chic and elegant look which would have made Lady Mary proud.

She was joined by Laura Carmichael, 26, who plays her younger sister Lady Edith in the show and looked very classy in her dark blue dress by Emilia Wickstead.
