It seems reports of secret agent Harry Hart’s death were indeed greatly exaggerated after all.
After months of teasing and speculation, the new poster for Kingsman: The Golden Circle officially confirms Colin Firth will return to the film series he launched three years ago as the presumably ill-fated operative, who was shot near the tail end of the first installment, The Secret Service, in 2014.
Tweeted Thursday by the film’s official Twitter account, The Golden Circle‘s minimalist poster prominently features the names of several new cast members who’ve boarded the sequel, including Halle Berry, Julianne Moore, Elton John, Jeff Bridges, and Channing Tatum. In addition to Firth, the new Kingsman class will appear alongside returning performers Taron Egerton and Mark Strong.

Oscar Nominations Are In For 2015 - Eddie Redmayne, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike Lead British Charge! (FULL NOMINATIONS LIST)
The Huffington Post UK |
By Caroline Frost
Posted: 15/01/2015 13:47 GMT Updated: 15/01/2015 16:59 GMT

British hopes will be riding high for this year's Academy Awards, with actors Eddie Redmayne, Benedict Cumberbatch, Felicity Jones and Rosamund Pike all getting Oscar nominations for their work.
Eddie Redmayne's nod follows his triumph at the Golden Globes where he won Best Leading Actor in a Drama for his transformation into scientist Stephen Hawking in the moving drama 'The Theory of Everything'.
Benedict Cumberbatch is also recognised for his work playing a brilliant but challenged scientist, for his part the role of mathematician Alan Turing in 'The Imitation Game'.
Fellow Brit David Oyelowo missed out on a Best Actor nod for 'Selma', although the Martin Luther King biopic did score a nod in the Best Film category.
These actors will be up against Michael Keaton, celebrated for his sparky comeback turn in 'Birdman'. Michael also walked off with a Golden Globe for his role last week, and will surely be Eddie's biggest competition.
It's not all about the men, though. Former Bond girl Rosamund Pike has been nominated for her career-changing turn as the beautiful but unpredictable Amy Dunne in David Fincher's thriller 'Gone Girl', adapted from Gillian Flynn's bestseller.
Felicity Jones has also been tipped for her role of Stephen Hawking's wife Jane, opposite Eddie Redmayne.
These two will be up against firm favourite for her role in 'Still Alice', Julianne Moore, as well as Marion Cotillard and Reese Witherspoon.
'Birdman' and 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' share leading status for the honours, with nine nominations apiece.

Michelle Dockery on the red carpet (WENN)
"Downton Abbey" star Michelle Dockery was on "Chelsea Lately" Thursday (Feb. 27) to promote her new movie, "Non-Stop," which co-stars Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore.
Below, Dockery regales host Chelsea Handler with a story from the set of how Moore would make fun of how massive Neeson is: "There he goes, texting away with his giant thumbs." Side note: Dockery does a killer Julianne Moore voice.
Dockery also had two very funny anecdotes about the Rolling Stones, who are big "Downton Abbey" fans.
Apparently, at the Met Gala, Mick Jagger came "straight over" to Dockery and co-star Laura Carmichael and just says, "Hello, I'm Mick." Dockery displays for Handler the huge grin she got on her face, totally star-struck, and says she rather disbelievingly said to him, "I know!"

Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery Happy To Lose Husband Matthew Crawley With Dan Stevens' Departure

'Downton Abbey's Lady Mary Crawley may have been left reeling from the sudden death of her husband Matthew Crawley, but actress Michelle Dockery admits she was far more agreeable to the changes it brought to her character.
"We all had that choice to stay or go for Series four and five," she tells HuffPostUK. "I respected Dan Stevens’ decision, we all did. There’s positives to everything. I think for the storyline, I wonder where it could have gone with Mary and Matthew had Dan decided to stay. Happiness... ?" she shrugs, acknowledging that such contentment doesn't make for great drama.

Instead, viewers have watched Lady Mary sleepwalk around the house for the last series, with Michelle glad she's finally emerging from her year of widowed gloom.
"Towards the end of Series 4, Mary had a little bit of mojo coming back," she laughs. "That sharper wittier edge coming back. Her sense of humour is returning, so I’m really excited to see where it goes."
In the film 'Non-Stop', in cinemas this week, Michelle acts alongside Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore in an airborne thriller, where they must work to save the passengers' lives when one traveller goes very much rogue. As air stewardess Nancy, Michelle is warm and purry, a million air miles from Lady Mary's porcelain veneer, something Michelle seems relieved about...

Tom Ford reveals his film A Single Man was based on his own family By Liz Hoggard (YAHOO)
American fashion designer-turned-film director Tom Ford has revealed that his 2009 Oscar nominated movie, 'A Single Man', which starred Colin Firth and Julianne Moore, was partly autobiographical.
In an interview with the 'Times' newspaper, he explained that the script of the film, inspired by a Christopher Isherwood short story about a fastidious, suicidal academic, was deeply resonant to his own life.
"There were scenes right out of our lives: my sister, my mother, the emotions," he said. "The way I was feeling at the time. I didn't know if I cared if I lived or died. Where is the beauty of the world? Discovering the beauty of the world, having an epiphany. I've had those moments where time stands still and I think: 'It's OK'."

See Felicity Blunt’s Wedding Gown! 10/02/2012 AT 11:00 AM ET (STYLE WATCH)
Bride Felicity Blunt’s something new was something quite lovely: a custom wedding gown designed by Nanette Lepore.
For her marriage to Stanley Tucci in London on Saturday night (actually the couple’s second round of vows), the literary agent (second from left) wore a simple, sleeveless white dress with lace overlay and a small bow at the waist.
Her flower girls and bridesmaids — including sisters Suzie (left) and Emily and friend Amy Dixon (right) — also wore white Lepore creations, which somewhat mirrored the bridal gown through cut and detail. Lepore (pictured above) is a friend of Tucci’s, and the actor has made appearances at her runway shows before.
Tucci and Blunt celebrated their nuptials over the weekend with a Friday night party at London’s Shoreditch House, a Saturday ceremony at Middle Temple Hall and a reception at L’Anima restaurant.
Celebrity guests in attendance included groomsmen Steve Buscemi and Oliver Platt, plus Emily Blunt’s husband John Krasinski, Meryl Streep, Patricia Clarkson, Julianne Moore, Colin Firth and designer Kenneth Cole.

Livia Firth: Green Is Great For Fashion Week Designers Colin Firth's film producer wife Livia challenges eight designers to combine cinema, fashion and sustainability in their work. (SKY NEWS)
By Lucy Cotter, Arts & Entertainment Correspondent
Fashion week launched in London with a message - green is great - and the woman who has made it her mission to spread the word is Livia Firth.
Livia, the wife of Colin Firth, has been extolling the benefits of eco-fashion for the last few years.
She and her journalist friend Lucy Siegle are the brains behind the Green Carpet Challenge.
This saw Livia wearing sustainable designs to star-studded events while her husband was in the running for an Oscar for both A Single Man and The King's Speech.
She also managed to persuade a host of A-listers including Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore and Cameron Diaz to do the same.
Her latest initiative is The Green Cut which celebrates the best of fashion, film and sustainability, bringing together the British Fashion Council and the British Film Institute for the first time.
She worked with American Express and eight fashion designers, each of whom used a classic film as the inspiration for their design.
Livia told Sky News the success of her eco-project had exceeded all her expectations.

CLIVE OWEN: 'I never wanted to be a movie star. And I didn't become an actor to become famous': Clive Owen on fame, football and fatherhood By MARTYN PALMER (DAILY MAIL)
'I've always been a great believer that almost anybody on this planet can sit in the back of a pub, quietly in the corner, have a few drinks and walk out pretty much unbothered,' said Clive Owen
After 20 years in the business, Clive Owen admits that he still experiences spine-tingling moments.
Surprisingly, they are not from sharing film scenes with legends such as Robert De Niro (who inspired him to become an actor) or Angelina Jolie (one of a litany of leading ladies with whom he’s starred) – they are from meeting footballers.
The self-confessed Liverpool fanatic recently crossed paths with Thierry Henry on a street in Manhattan, where the French striker is based while playing for New York Red Bulls.
‘I literally bumped into him,’ says Owen. ‘I had never met him before and we discovered we were staying on the same street. We went out to dinner a few times and hung out.’
Clive with Gillian Anderson in Shadow Dancer. A tense drama set in Northern Ireland during the early Nineties, the film is based on a novel and screenplay by ITN's political editor Tom Bradby
Indeed, his list of leading ladies reads like a Who’s Who. But when asked about his ‘pinch me’ moments, he admits, ‘I never think of meeting actors. I think of the times I’ve met footballers.’
Scratch the surface, and the 47-year-old from Coventry is a man of contradictions: a quintessentially cool style icon with a boyish love of sport; a Hollywood leading man who lives a quiet life in London with his family; an intensely private person, who at 6ft 2in with chiselled good looks, attracts attention wherever he goes.

Lara Pulver: The infamous 111-second scene with Sherlock that made my career go pop Rosamund Urwin 15 June 2012 (LONDON EVENING STANDARD)
If Lara Pulver is sick of talking about that scene, she does a convincing job of hiding it. But the one thought about her naked turn as dominatrix Irene Adler in BBC1’s Sherlock Benedict Cumberbatch that she can’t stomach is that some of the 2.5 million viewers who watched it on iPlayer might have paused every frame. At this, she looks horrified, puts her fingers in her ears and sings: “La la la la la. I don’t want to know.”
When I mentioned to male colleagues that I had interviewed Pulver, they went gooey-eyed — although the 31-year-old has plenty of female admirers too. And now she has won international recognition for the role, with a nomination for the American Critics’ Choice Television Awards, alongside Jessica Lange, Julianne Moore and Emily Watson.
“I’ve won, just in my name being read out with those ladies,” she says. “It’s so weird. You never know in an acting career what’s going to pop. I’ve done one 90-minute episode and more people talk to me about that than anything else.”
When she read the script for A Scandal in Belgravia, she had just finished filming the final series of Spooks, and was flying back to Los Angeles, where the Kent-born actress lives: “It was one of those moments when you think ‘turn the plane around! I have to do this job’.”
As well as drawing in almost nine million TV viewers on the night, the episode also attracted 100 complaints. “I think the human form is something to celebrate. And you don’t actually see anything. That’s why we spent eight hours shooting that scene because if you saw a tiny bit of nipple ...” She breaks off. “It is so cleverly shot by [director] Paul McGuigan, that it is what you don’t see that makes your imagination go crazy.”
Shooting the scene sounds a logistical nightmare: “Our producer was going through it with the BBC — ‘So you can have one out-of-focus buttock but not two out-of-focus buttocks.’ It was kinda hilarious what she had to adhere to.”
Pulver was completely nude for the scene “apart from Louboutins and some beautiful diamond earrings”, turning down the offer of a self-adhesive gel bra and pants: “They actually made me feel more uncomfortable.”
But there were filming considerations too: “Paul McGuigan took me to one side and said: ‘Look, we’re going to spend probably 14 hours shooting this with that stuff on because if we see a glimpse of it, we can’t use it.’ [Being naked gave] an inch more space to play with. Otherwise, if I wasn’t spot on my mark, it was a complete waste of time ... It would have been: ‘We have to go again, we can see a bit of gel bra coming out of Benedict’s left eye’.” She admits being “scared out of her wits to take her clothes off” but adds: “It was empowering to go, ‘In my rawest physical form, in my skin and bones, I am okay.’ I didn’t crumble. I had a minor freak out inside but was able to do my job.”
