The Rolling Stones rocker, 73, was spotted getting “very animated” by the Latino film star Calu Rivero, 29, at a private dinner hosted by Colin Firth and his wife on Saturday.

She later shared her adoration for the English music icon by sharing a Polaroid picture of him on Instagram.

A source inside the event said: “Mick and Calu were chatting for a good while, and they looked pretty flirty.

“He was clearly enjoying himself, and Calu is extremely beautiful and a lovely girl so they really hit it off.

"Downton Abbey" star Michelle Dockery was on "Chelsea Lately" Thursday (Feb. 27) to promote her new movie, "Non-Stop," which co-stars Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore.

Below, Dockery regales host Chelsea Handler with a story from the set of how Moore would make fun of how massive Neeson is: "There he goes, texting away with his giant thumbs." Side note: Dockery does a killer Julianne Moore voice.

Dockery also had two very funny anecdotes about the Rolling Stones, who are big "Downton Abbey" fans.

Apparently, at the Met Gala, Mick Jagger came "straight over" to Dockery and co-star Laura Carmichael and just says, "Hello, I'm Mick." Dockery displays for Handler the huge grin she got on her face, totally star-struck, and says she rather disbelievingly said to him, "I know!"

Adele: ‘Rolling’ with the Stones?!?! BY SEAN BORG (BRITISH WEEKLY)

I hear the Rolling Stones are planning to pull in a string of top female vocalists for their July 6 show in London’s Hyde Park with superstar singer Adele at the top of Mick Jagger’s wish list.

A source said the wheels are in motion to make Adele the big-name guest on the bill – if she can be persuaded to appear.

The source said: “The Stones would love to get Adele on with them. It would be a massive coup, even for them, because she’s been a bit reclusive since her son Angelo James was born.

“She is the name they want to announce as their special guest – and their invite should be special enough to get her out on stage.

“At the minute it’s 50/50 that she’ll do it, but Mick is quietly confident he can pull it off. They want to make the Hyde Park shows a highlight of their tour, and her appearing would make it really special.”

Tom Hardy has bought a £2 million mansion in the same neighborhood as Sir Mick Jagger and Richard Ashcroft.

The 'Dark Knight Rises' star is said to be in "good company " with his rock and roll neighbours - with The Rolling Stones and The Verve musicians living "just up the road" from his new south west London property.

A source said: "Tom's going to keep good company among the rock elite - Mick and Richard are literally both just up the road.

"He'll have his work cut out before any entertaining starts, though, as it needs a fair bit of work. It's a stunning property with a huge ballroom, which he's up for renovating."

The 35-year-old actor has plans to renovate the property for his and fiancee Charlotte Riley's son Louis, four, when he's older.

He also reportedly wants to call it Manderley after the manor in 'Rebecca', the thriller staring Tom's "hero" Sir Laurence Olivier.

THE Rolling Stones like telly’s Downton Abbey so much they finish rehearsals early in order to watch it.

The band’s love of the period drama was revealed by Ronnie Wood to leading man Hugh Bonneville.

The pair are close friends and Hugh, who plays the Earl of Grantham, told co-star Laura Carmichael of their Sunday evening obsession.

She said: “Hugh has been hanging out with Ronnie and they have been having a great time. They met doing charity work and Ronnie told Hugh how much they loved Downton.

“Apparently they were stopping rehearsals on Sunday nights in time to get back to watch it.” Laura, 26 — Lady Edith in the hit ITV show — revealed how Mick Jagger, 69, even managed to ruin one of the storylines for Ronnie, 65.

She said: “When Sybil passed away, Mick said to Ronnie, ‘Sad to hear about the girl’. Ronnie replied, ‘I haven’t seen it yet — I recorded it.’ ”

Review: The Rolling Stones rock Staples in first gig of tour (L A TIMES)

The Stones -- Jagger, Richards, Watts, Wood and a six-piece support group -- are celebrating 50 years as a band, and did so at a capacity arena with a typical combination of power, nuance and versatility.

That the group only stumbled a few times, most notably when No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani attempted to duet with Jagger on “Wild Horses,” is a testament to both the enduring power of their creations and their continued ability to deliver renegade spirit. After all, these rich men could be relaxing in mansions, going on drunken benders or -- as Richards once memorably did -- falling out of coconut trees.

They are the last band standing, let alone prancing, shaking, shimmying or prowling.

Their cockroach-like survival stands to reason. This is durable music, after all, built on solid foundations that have supported and moved entire cultures. Songs such as “Tumbling Dice,” “Miss You,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” -- all of which they played on Friday -- have fired the neurons of billions of brains.

Or, as Richards eloquently explained in his 2010 autobiography, “Life,” the band offered repeated proof of achieving the ultimate goal of a musician: “to stretch yourself into other people’s hearts.” Richards wrote of the craft as being “almost an obsession,” adding that “to write a song that is remembered and taken to heart is a connection, a touching of bases. A thread that runs through all of us. A stab to the heart.”

The Stones stabbed hearts over and over on Friday. Among the more celebrated victims at the gig were Jack Nicholson, Eddie Murphy, Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban, James Caan, Babyface, Melanie Griffith and longtime Stones producer Don Was. During “Brown Sugar,” Nicholson pumped his arms like a teenager along with the other 19,000 fans.

Wild horses couldn't drag many of the most die-hard of Rolling Stones fans to the kick-off of the band's North American tour - at least not at prices of up to a whopping $600 a ticket.

Three weeks after tickets went on sale, and a day before the British band take the stage on Friday, the Los Angeles Staples Center was far from sold out for the "50 and Counting" gig.

Secondary ticket sellers StubHub had more than 500 tickets available 24 hours before the May 3 show, Good Seat tickets said they were slashing re-sale prices by 40 percent, and Epic Nation rolled out a 10 percent discount code.

The veteran rock band announced on their official website this week that they were releasing an additional number of tickets at a modest $85, the only price point that quickly sold out for the May 3 concert.

According to the website, some of the $85 seats will be among the best seats in house in the "Tongue Pit," with others spread around the arena. Buyers will be notified of their seat location on the day of the show.

Concert promoters AEG denied they were cutting prices, saying tickets once thought to have an obstructed view had come to light after the tongue and lip shaped stage was set up.

"Seeing (the stage) in this setting for the first time, we were able to determine that seats previously thought to have obstructed views were in fact unobstructed and could immediately be offered to fans for $85 each," AEG said in a statement.

On Thursday, seats at prices ranging from $250 to $600 were still available, according to the AXS website operated by AEG, which owns the Staples Center arena that seats about 19,000 people.

Joe Walsh apparently is involved in a very interesting project that’s coming together at Los Angeles’ famous Capitol Records Studios.  The Eagles guitarist posted a photo on Twitter over the weekend featuring himself, Mick Jagger, Ringo Starr, producer Don Was, Jeff Beck bassist Tal Wilkenfeld, journeyman session drummer Jim Keltner and bluesman Keb’ Mo’, accompanied by a message that reads, “Cooking up something here at Capitol Records!  I think you’ll like it.”

Charlie Watts Upset At Missing Diamond Jubilee Gig (CONTACT MUSIC)

Rocker Charlie Watts is disappointed the Rolling Stones weren't invited to perform at Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee concert, insisting he would have been honoured to join the line-up.

The drummer admits he would have loved for the Brown Sugar hitmakers to be included in the special gig being held in the summer (12) to mark the monarch's 60-year reign. Beatles legend Sir Paul MCCartney, Sir Elton John and Sir Cliff Richard are among the headlining acts, but Watts reveals he and his bandmates are too busy to play the show.

Jon Bon Jovi wants more people to volunteer in some of the poorer areas of Red Bank, NJ, so he has opened a new "pay-what-you-can" restaurant. The JBJ Soul Kitchen will give people the choice of earning food by volunteering in the community or by making a suggested donation.
Bon Jovi told New York magazine that this isn't your standard soup kitchen. "Picture the coolest brasserie in your hometown, that's what this is. It's the hottest-looking restaurant in this town. We have to get rid of a few stigmas attached to the word volunteering and making a difference."


A handwritten letter from 1960 written by Paul McCartney to an unknown drummer to offer an audition for the Beatles is going up for auction at Christie's on November 15. The estimate for the item is $14,000.

The letter, dated August 12, 1960, was inside a book picked up at a sale in Liverpool. The letter reads:

We would like to offer you an audition for the position of drummer in the group. You will, however, need to be free soon for a trip to Hamburg (expenses paid £18 per week (approx) for 2 months). If interested ring Jacaranda club and ask for a member of The Beatles.


Meanwhile, one of John Lennon's teeth is also going on the block, this one on November 5, and is expected to bring in even more than the letter, $16,000. Lennon had given the tooth to his housekeeper, Dot Jarrett, as a souvenir.


Slash has finished the initial recording session for his next album which is scheduled for an April 2012 release. According to the guitarist, "This one's definitely a very focused. very hard. Some of it's very heavy. It's got sort of a more unified sound to it, especially with one vocal all throughout."

Lulu was given Scala's Women of the Year Lifetime Achievement Award on Monday at ceremonies in London. The singer said in accepting the award "When I attended the Women of the Year Lunch last year, I was so moved by the amazing women I met and the inspiring work they do in their communities, nationwide and indeed worldwide.

"To be invited back as a winner is beyond my wildest expectations and I'm humbled and thrilled. When women roll up their sleeves, there is no end to what we can achieve."


The supergroup SuperHeavy with Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, Damien Marley and A.R. Rahman has found generally good success in Europe, topping the charts in a couple of country, but it has found far fewer fans in the U.S. To date, the album has only sold 33,000 copies and seems destined to be a footnote in history which is unfortunate because it really is an excellent album.


Two veteran artists will debut in Billboard's top 50 this week. Based on Hits Daily Double's projections, Johnny Gill's Still Winning will move around 16,000 copies, good for the high twenties while Peter Gabriel's New Blood sold around 10,200 and will come in somewhere in the 30's.
