Ioan Gruffudd: Alice Evans heats up the red carpet in a bump-revealing red dress alongside husband Ioan Gruffudd By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Their second child: The husband and wife are already parents to three-year-old daughter Ella
The happy couple: Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans lit up the 12th Annual Chrysalis Ball red carpet on Saturday night thanks to Alice's stunning bump

They usually keep a low-profile.

But Alice Evans and husband Ioan Gruffudd turned all eyes on themselves as they arrived to the 12th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Brentwood, California, on Saturday night.

It was all thanks to a very pregnant Alice, who showed off her growing curves in a bright red dress.

The 41-year-old Vampire Diaries actress is currently pregnant with the couple's second child, and she had no qualms flaunting her new figure.

Her bright frock cut into a deep V-neck at the front, which put her decolletage on full display.

The blonde beauty's blooming bump made its pronounced outline against her otherwise slender body.

Alice continued the red theme with a matching handbag, pointed-toe booties and a swipe of cherry lipstick.

Sean Bean, Ioan Gruffud: Hollywood stars sign up to Weston screenwriter’s film Simon Angear, Content Editor (THE WESTON MERCURY)

BLADE runner baddie Rutger Hauer, Lord Of The Rings star Sean Bean and the Fantastic Four’s Ioan Gruffudd will be uniting on-screen in a new movie penned by a Weston screenwriter.

Psychological thriller Isolated was officially announced at the Cannes Film Festival this week, and Nick says the film was originally devised during a gap between other projects.

He said: “I’m busy working on several projects for the same production company based at Pinewood and while negotiations were underway getting actors to commit to those films, director Murray Gough suggested that while we were waiting that we should shoot another film but keep it to one location.

“I like a bit of a challenge so I thought up the concept for Isolated and between us we fleshed out the plot based on my treatment, then I wrote the screenplay.

“The story concerns a man who’s having the day from hell. Only it’s going to get a lot worse for him.

“I don’t want to give too much away but Gruffudd’s character, an unwitting victim, becomes trapped in his car, and isolated overnight, while locked in a battle of wits with a mysterious caller.

Ioan Gruffudd gets starstruck (Zee news)

London: `Fantastic Four` star Ioan Grufford said that he is awestruck whenever he meets other celebrities.

Grufford, 39, who is an established actor himself, said he becomes confident by spending more time with celebs, reported Contactmusic.

"I`ve gotten used to it now, but it`s still exciting. The more time you spend in places mingling with celebrities, the more confident you become," he said.

He also believes veteran actors are more comfortable and calmer as compared to the new actors

Keira Knightley, Jude law, Ben Kingsley, Ioan Gruffudd, Joanna Lumley: 12 British Actors Who Got Started In Soaps By Fraser McAlpine | Posted on May 20th, 2013 (BBC America)

Joanna Lumley on ‘Coronation Street’ (Granada TV)

Never mind the Billboards, the real trophy-doling fun of the weekend happened on Saturday night, at the British Soap Awards, in which the great, the good and the downright torrid rubbed fake-tanned shoulders and practised the most outrageous Nominated Loserface in the bathrooms of MediaCityUK, Salford.

Coronation Street, the longest-running TV serial drama in the world. was the big winner on the night, taking eight awards compared to a comparatively paltry one for their main rivals, EastEnders. This despite both programmes going in with a roughly equal split of nominations: 16 for the former, 15 for the latter. Even the relatively lowly Emmerdale managed two awards, while the perpetually sexy Hollyoaks took home five.

Ioan Gruffudd -

This is my favorite: the future Mr Fantastic as a teenager, delivering his reedy lines in the Welsh-language soap that… well it didn’t exactly make his name, because Pobol Y Cwm wasn’t shown all over the UK, but it didn’t hold him back either.

Ben Kingsley (Coronation Street) -

Ben Kingsley in Coronation Street (Granada TV)

Corrie was very much the making of Ben as a screen actor. He appeared as Ron Jenkins in the soap across 1966-7, and even appeared in a spin-off series called Pardon the Expression.

Keira Knightley (The Bill)

Jude Law in Families
Jude Law (Families)

Families was an attempt by Granada TV to exploit the late ’80s/early ’90s craze for Australian soaps like Neighbours and Home and Away that had made pop stars out of Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan. The initial storyline concerned the fallout when businessman Mike Thompson chose to leave his British family to go and live in Australia with his lover, but later storylines included murder, suicide, drugs, adultery, prostitution and mental health issues. Oh, and Jude’s not the only one who walked away from this show with an enhanced career, some of the later episodes were written by Russell T Davies.

Let’s end with another two graduates of The Bill’s accelerated apprenticeship scheme:

Ioan Gruffudd and wife Alice Evans pick mini-me daughter Ella up after school play, dressed as Rudolph (MAIL ON LINE)

They've always been one of Hollywood's most low-profile families, preferring to stay out of the spotlight.

But Welsh actor Ioan Gruffard and wife Alice Evans couldn't help drawing attention to themselves as they walked through Los Angeles on Wednesday, in a great mood after their daughter's school play.

Dressed in red and sporting a red, a painted nose, the little one seemed in a mischievous mood as she help on tight to her actress mother, who she is the spitting image of.

Alice, 41, who met her husband on the set of 102 Dalmatians in 2000, doted on her three-year-old daughter, carrying her in her arms and not taking her eyes off her.

Ioan spoke out earlier this year about the couple's difficulty to conceive, eventually having to undergo IVF treatment, which luckily worked the first time.

The couple's blonde daughter looked like the spitting image of her actress mum, both of them wearing their hair pinned back into low, stylish buns.

Matthew Rhys leans on fellow Welshmen (BELFAST TELEGRAPH)

Matthew Rhys says it's "second nature" that he "gravitates" towards fellow Welsh actors Michael Sheen and Ioan Gruffudd.

The three stars have all enjoyed success in Hollywood since they decided to leave their homeland and move to the US. However, Matthew admits that he sometimes feels homesick and seeks comfort in a group of Welsh pals living near him.

"As a nation there aren't many of us, so if we find ourselves in Los Angeles all doing the same job then I think its second nature that we all gravitate towards each other," he said during an interview for UK TV show Lorraine. "More often than not, we bump into each other in random places. We aren't always in LA at the same time, so it's a case of seeing other somewhere like Brighton or Bristol when we are on location."

Matthew is best known for his role in US TV show Brothers & Sisters, and also starred alongside Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller in The Edge of Love.

The 37-year-old star loves being outdoors and is a keen horse rider.

Ioan Gruffudd: Ringer Bosses Preview Tonight's "Bloodbath" of a Finale! Plus, "Happy Moments" for Which Couple? Today 10:19 AM PDT by TIERNEY BRICKER (E ON LINE)

So just how many people are dying in the Ringer season finale?

"It's a bloodbath," Charmelo teases, with Snyder adding that "a bunch" of people die, before revealing viewers will see three characters bite the dust. So can we expect at least one major character to die by finale's end? Charmelo simply says, "Yes!"

Though Siobhan has been in in New York for half the season, Bridget has yet to learn that her twin sister is alive and well, and Charmelo teases, "The two sisters will be in the same room at the same time in present day." While Siobhan has some major sister drama, she's also dealing with some baby-daddy drama, as in who the heck is the father of her twins?!

Snyder plays coy but divulges, "The season finale is so much fun. If fans had fun watching last week's episode, this will be a nice conclusion. I don't want to spoil anything. I will say this: The paternity of Siobhan's babies—that story will come to a crazy, fun, delicious breaking point with Siobhan and Henry (Kris Polaha) and a really interesting resolution. Details will unfold, and that's all I want to say."

But you're Welsh! Ioan Gruffudd walks the runway for show celebrating SCOTTISH fashion in America By ALANAH ERIKSEN (MAIL ON LINE)

And Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd has now walked the catwalk for a fashion show celebrating Scottish fashion. And top it off, From Scotland With Love was held at the Liberty Theatre in Times Square, New York.

Ioan Gruffudd: Ringer Season 1-18 ‘That Woman’s Never Been A Victim Her Entire Life’ Recap (WE GOT THIS COVERED)

Posted March 24, 2012 by Lindsay Sperling in TV

Ringer picks up right where it left off, not skipping a beat. Andrew (Ioan Gruffudd) has been shot. Bridget (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is holding onto him as if his life depends on it, and it just very well might. Solomon (Sean Patrick Thomas) has been hit over the head and makes it downstairs in time for Agent Machado (Nestor Carbonell) to rush onto the scene.

Agent Machado is quick to spring to action and soon discovers that the mystery shooter hasn’t gone too far. He chases him down the fire escape only to have his efforts interrupted by a crowd of partygoers exiting through the back door. The shooter manages to evade Machado, but not before he loses his card.

My double delight! Ioan Gruffudd on his wife's success with IVF and his latest role opposite sexy twin sisters (DAILY MAIL)

By LINA DAS

You’d be hard pushed to find a more genuinely charming actor than Ioan Gruffudd. Courteous and with impeccable manners, he’s a flurry of door-opening and ‘after yous’ when we meet. Of course the lilting Welsh accent and dark, magnetic looks that catapulted him to fame in the ITV series Hornblower don’t do him any harm either.

One interviewer was so taken with him, they swooned that Ioan was ‘perfect’. His charm is all the more impressive today given Ioan had spent the previous night in hospital. While his wife, actress Alice Evans, was away in Atlanta shooting the TV series The Vampire Diaries, their two-year-old daughter Ella Betsi was suddenly beset with breathing difficulties – the local hospital eventually diagnosing her with the respiratory condition, croup.

‘It’s quite a traumatic thing for Alice to have to leave Ella to go to work,’ he says, ‘so you can imagine how awful the phone call was when I had to tell her what had happened. I was terrified. But Ella’s fine now and she’ll be thrilled because her mum’s coming home tonight.’

Ella is Ioan and Alice’s only child. The couple underwent IVF treatment three years ago in order to conceive. ‘We’d wanted a baby for a while and after it didn’t happen for us naturally we said, “Let’s take what science has to offer.”

Luckily for us, it worked the first time so it wasn’t a long, hard struggle,’ he says. On discovering Alice was pregnant, there was elation, ‘but that’s just the beginning of the journey,’ admits Ioan. ‘Then there’s the whole other worry of, “Are we going to get to 12 weeks?”. It was a long, anxious process and then Alice was on bed rest for the last eight weeks because of high blood pressure, which is quite serious.

Ioan Gruffudd Talks Bridget & Andrew’s Recent Hookup On ‘Ringer’

First Published: December 1, 2011 3:34 PM EST Credit: The CW

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Ioan Gruffudd as Andrew in “Ringer”

Caption Ioan Gruffudd as Andrew in “Ringer”“Ringer” fans finally got to see Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Bridget hook up with her sister’s husband, Andrew, played by Ioan Gruffudd, on Wednesday’s midseason finale, and while The CW scene was steamy, the Welsh actor said a lot of work went in behind the scenes.

“It always looks amazing when you see them in the movies or on television, but, believe me, there are two actors there sweating, feeling very nervous and very self-conscious,” he admitted to Access Hollywood on Wednesday night on the red carpet at the BAFTA Britannia Awards, held in Los Angeles.

“You’ve got to put your trust in the director of photography and the director to make sure that all the folds are in the right places,” he added.

Ioan admitted his wife, fellow British actress Alice Evans, doesn’t usually tune in to those between-the-sheets moments starring her husband.

“My wife didn’t watch the show last night — for good reason,” Ioan laughed.

“I was warned,” Alice chimed in.

Tuesday’s “Ringer” was the last episode of 2011, and Ioan hinted big things are on the way for the dramatic primetime show when it comes back next year.

“It was such an incendiary episode [Tuesday] night,” Ioan said. “We left on an enormous cliffhanger. We’ve left the audience salivating, and I wish I could describe what was happening next. It would spoil the whole pleasure of it.”

One thing Ioan did confirm is that fans will get to see a different side of Andrew in the weeks to come, perhaps even a dark one.

“I hope so. I think that’s the beauty of our show, that every character has a duality,” he said. “We obviously know about Bridget and Siobhan — Siobhan’s obviously a very duplicitous character. I think, as the show progresses, we’re going to see every character’s dark side.”

“Ringer” returns to The CW on January 10.

IOAN Gruffudd has stepped in to help save a farm in his Welsh homeland.
