'The Simpsons': Watch Benedict Cumberbatch play the British prime minister AND Snape -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO by Dan Snierson (EW)

In Love, Indubitably (a wink at Love Actually, yes, and also, we hope, to Maeby’s movie on Arrested Development), Benedict Cumberbatch — that coldly dashing Sherlock star who is playing the villain in Star Trek Into Darkness — pulls brilliant double duty by voicing both a Grant-like British Prime Minister and Severus Snape from Harry Potter. Let the British invasion of your heart begin now by watching his scene now.

Benedict Cumberbatch: 'Simpsons' exec on Cumberbatch role: 'He's completely irresistible' Published Monday, Sep 10 2012, 4:55am EDT | By Morgan Jeffery (DIGITAL SPY)

The Simpsons exec producer Al Jean has spoken about Benedict Cumberbatch's upcoming guest appearance.

The Sherlock star will play two roles in the Fox animated comedy's 24th season.

Jean joked that Cumberbatch had "muscled [his] way into being a guest star" in an interview with TVLine.

"He's really funny," Jean explained. "He came to a read, and we had a couple of things that he said, 'Hey, I could do those. Can I?' This was the first time someone actually just kinda muscled their way into being a guest star.

"He called us back and he said, 'You want me to do anything else?' - and we gave him a little more."

Jean went on to describe the Parade's End star as a "completely irresistible person".
