Robert Pattinson Wins British Performer Of The Year Award Mon, February 4, 2013 12:47pm EST by HL Intern (HOLLYWOOD LIFE)

Last month, ‘Twilight’ heartthrob Robert Pattinson was up for the Richard Attenborough Film Awards’ British Performer of the Year. Whether it was for his stunningly good looks or his work, fans voted and got him the win!

The votes are in. Robert Pattinson fans pulled through and got Rob to the top. Twi-hards or just plain old Rob fans came together to make sure Rob was chosen as the 2013 recipient of the Richard Attenborough Film Awards British Performer of the Year for his role as Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Rob was up against some of Britain’s best actors, including Christian Bale (The Dark Knight Rises), Emily Blunt (The Five Year Engagement), Daniel Craig (Skyfall), Judi Dench (Skyfall), Colin Firth (Gambit), Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man), Keira Knightley (Anna Karenina), Emma Watson: The Perks Of Being A Wallflower and Rachel Weisz (The Bourne Legacy.)

Robert Pattinson Turns the Tables on K-Stew. Finally. BY: Shannon Keirnan (YIDIO)

First the "Breaking Dawn" star is cheated on, and his philandering girlfriend issues a lackluster apology to the star via public announcement.

If you’ve ever followed the Pattinson/Stewart relationship, you know exactly how much the poor boy loves airing his yummy personal laundry to the public.

So when rumors swirled that the sad-faced, cuckolded actor had high-tailed it back to mother England to lick his wounds, people clucked and shook their head and baked the poor creature a casserole, because he’ll probably need some comfort food in his time of need.

Well, it’s looking like there’s a little more to the story than that.

Apparently, while Pattinson was relaxing in England, ye olde U-Haul was driving on up to the mansion shared by Pattinson and his “Snow White and the Huntsman” ex. And it wasn’t Pattinson’s bongs and hair mousse that were getting packed on out.

Since Pattinson owns the home the two were shacking up in, the sexy vampire has apparently decided that, rather than run off and admit defeat, the best course of action is to evict the pasty actress from his property.

And, true English gentleman that he is, not only did he force the sullen-faced lady to gather her stuff and move along, he reportedly had her car towed out of their driveway and deposited unceremoniously across from a McDonalds.

Just in case she wasn’t taking the hint.

Daniel Day Lewis, Daniel Craig: Spielberg's 'Lincoln' Will Face Off Against James Bond on November 9 Plus dates for 'Stoker' and 'Wuthering Heights' BY: BRAD BREVET PUBLISHED: WEDNESDAY, JULY 18TH 2012 AT 11:15 AM (ROPE OF SILICON)

DreamWorks announced this morning that Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, starring Daniel Day-Lewis in the title role, will hit limited theaters on November 9 before expanding nationwide the following weekend on November 16. The film will therefore open opposite the latest James Bond adventure Skyfall and Joe Wright's Anna Karenina, the latter of which is also releasing in limited theaters, though I expect it will follow a more staggered release schedule.

The November 16 date matches with Summit's plan to release The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 as well as the first weekend Sony Classics will roll out the Cannes standout, Jacques Audiard's Rust and Bone in limited release

She looks just like Bella and Edward! First picture of half-human half-vampire Cullen child released ahead of Breaking Dawn 2 By SARAH FITZMAURICE (MAIL ON LINE)

Fans of the Twilight series have been eagerly awaiting the final installment with particular excitement surrounding just how Bella and Edward's child will look.

Now the first snaps of the half-human half-vampire daughter have been released, which will no-doubt send Twi-hards into a frenzy.

Kristen Stewart and her on and off screen beau Robert Pattinson have posed on the cover of Entertainment Weekly along with Mackenzie Foy, who takes on the role of Renesmee.

The 11-year-old actress, who looks remarkably like the two actors, is seen holding hands with Kristen, while Robert places a protective hand on her arm.

With her fiery auburn hair tumbling around her shoulders and pale luminous skin it is easy to believe Mackenzie is the couple's child.

The uncanny resemblance between Mackenzie and Kristen was not lost on the 22-year-old star.

Harry Potter Dominates 2011 Box Office; ‘Deathly Hallows, Part 2′ among several sequels to make it in the top 10. (Movie Night)

Posted on January 3, 2012 by By Kevin P. Sullivan

Harry Potter said goodbye to Hogwarts and movie theaters in 2011, but not without earning boatloads of cash along the way.

The boy who lived dominated the box office this past year with more than $1.3 billion worldwide, making him the undoubted winner in a less-than-stellar year financially for movies, but “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” wasn’t the only sequel to succeed. Eight of the top 10 earners at the theaters belonged to sequels, prequels or remakes.

This trend is what Jeff Bock, box-office analyst for Exhibitor Relations, sees as the big box office story of 2011, for good and bad. “You can’t deny sequels’ potency at the box office, with seven of the top 10 grossing films of 2011 being continuing sagas — eight if you count ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes,’” Bock said.

But not every movie with a number slapped onto the back of it fared as well as “Harry Potter.” Bock pointed out that holiday sequels like “Happy Feet Two,” “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” and “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked,” all underperformed compared to their predecessors.

“You could also argue that sequels are part of the problem, too,” Bock said. “The domestic box office looks like it’s going to come up short in terms of overall grosses and drop 3 percent versus last year, with attendance down nearly 5 percent — which will hit its lowest point in 15 years. That’s a no-win for the entire industry.”

As for surprise successes and failures, two films stuck out to Bock, the comedy hit “Bridesmaids” and DC’s disappointer “Green Lantern.”

“Bridesmaids” made $288 million worldwide on a budget of just $32 million, Bock said. “It was finally a coming out party for women of comedy,” Bock said of what he called the “female ‘Hangover.’ ” “Universal has already made plans for a sequel, and the brides-to-be are now flirting with A-list status.”

Ryan Reynolds’ most recent foray into the superhero realm did just the opposite. “This was supposed to be the next Batman for the studio, and it nearly turned into ‘Howard the Duck,’ ” Bock said. “Well, it wasn’t that bad, but when you spend $200 million on a film, you obviously expect to make more than $219 million worldwide. And that’s not including all the marketing and print advertising that went into the big-budget blockbuster.”

For 2012, Bock expects even more sequel domination, especially with the lineup of franchise films coming out next year. He predicts “The Dark Knight Rises” and “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” will top with box office in the #1 and #2 slots, respectively, with “The Hobbit,” “The Avengers” and “Men in Black 3” rounding out the top five.

Survey Says "The Hobbit," "The Avengers" Are 2 Of 2012's Most Anticipated Movies; What Are Yours? (what about Anna Karenina)

Features by Tambay | December 9, 2011 |

The short story goes... Fandango surveyed over 1,000 Fandango users, asking them what films are they most anticipating in 2012. Fandango then sorted the results by gender, and these were the results:

Men: 1. The Hobbit; 2. The Avengers; 3. The Dark Knight Rises; 4. The Bourne Legacy; 5. Men in Black III.

Women: 1. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2; 2. The Hunger Games; 3. The Hobbit; 4. Dark Shadows; 5. The Avengers.

Obviously a mostly younger Fandango user base was polled for (or replied to) the survey. But it looks like The Hobbit and The Avengers will likely have huge weekend openings when they debut next year.

Fandango also asked its users for their most anticipated remakes expected to be released in 2012, and here are the results, again, by gender:

Men: 1. Total Recall; 2. The Amazing Spider-Man; 3. The Great Gatsby; 4. Snow White And The Huntsman; 5. Mirror Mirror

Women: 1. Snow White And The Huntsman; 2. The Great Gatsby; 3. Mirror Mirror; 4. Total Recall; 5. The Amazing Spider-Man

Identical lists, except for the order.

But forget Fandango's survey; I want to do one right here on S&A. But I'm interested in just the first question - your top 5 most anticipated movies of 2012. Leave them in the comment section below; I'll give it a few days, then compile the results, and post for all to see. Hopefully a lot of you chime in so that we get a nice, healthy sample.
