It's been a busy few years for Loki — as well as Tom Hiddleston, the actor who portrays him — and things have only gotten more eventful since Thor: Ragnarok hits cinemas. Even though Loki is a dangerous supervillain and spends most of his time throwing knives, making himself invisible, and plotting against his adoptive brother, deep down he's really just like the rest of us. Loki, too, likes to curl up with a good book, kick back and relax at home, and even hang out with kids — lest we forget, he literally has all the time in the world. In honour of the movie's release, we're taking a look at some of the times Loki was actually low-key.

Keira Knightley To Make Broadway Debut in ‘Therese Raquin’

Keira Knightley is coming to the Great White Way.

“The Pirates of the Carribbean” star is making her Broadway debut in in a new adaptation of “Thérèse Raquin” by Helen Edmundson (“The Clearing”), based upon the novel by Émile Zola. The drama will be directed by Evan Cabnet.

The announcement was made today in a press release sent out by Todd Haimes, Artistic Director of the Roundabout Theater Company.

These smart cookies at Roundabout now have a revival of “Cabaret” filling seats, which stars Emma Stone, who replaced Michele Williams in the role of Sally Bowles. Stone stars in the phenomenal black comedy “Birdman,” directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, which pokes fun at the current trend of making a splash on Broadway by hiring big movie stars to attract audiences. Can you imagine how many tourists would normally race to buy tickets for a production of a classic but downbeat production like “Thérèse Raquin” if a big-name Hollywood actress wasn’t headlining?

Although Knightley is making her Broadway debut, she is no newbie to theater. Her theater creds include her West End theatrical debut in Martin Crimp’s translation of Molière’s comedy “The Misanthrope,” staged by Thea Sharrock at the Comedy Theatre in London (Olivier Award nomination & Evening Standard Award nomination for The Natasha Richardson Award For Best Actress). In January 2011, she starred in Lillian Hellman’s “The Children’s Hour,” staged by Ian Rickson.

“Thérèse Raquin” is about a woman stuck in a loveless marriage to a weak man. She has reconciled herself to a life without passion until she meets Laurent and then her life is turned upside down when the two are unable to ignore their primal attraction. It’s pretty intense stuff, filled with love, betrayal, guilt and murder. Add to the mix a controlling and suspicious mother and it gets intense. Cast and crew are yet to be announced.

Helen Mirren intimidated by Olivier, Gielgud (BUSINESS STANDARD)

When I came into the acting profession it was quite different, it was quiet hierarchical. You didn't sit at the same table as the leading actor," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Mirren as saying.

"It was coming out of that 1950s period. You know Lawrence Olivier, John Gielgud - these were very, very intimidating and powerful people," she added.

Mirren has gone on to enjoy an incredible career and has won numerous awards for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in "The Queen".

However, she feels that her juniors might feel the same while looking at her.

"There were certain actors when I was young who were quite intimidating. They probably didn't mean to be, and maybe other people now look at me and go, 'Ooh she's scary,' but I really don't want to be or feel I am," she said.

We learnt back in April that Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer was set to play Sherlock Holmes's former lover Irene Adler in US update Elementary. And earlier this month we were told that the season finale would see Jonny Lee Miller's detective face a showdown with arch-enemy Moriarty, the man he believed had killed Irene. Then, just last week, UK viewers discovered Irene's secret – that she's not dead after all.

But now (right now, if you're still reading this) as the series approaches the climax to its first season, there's one more major twist still to come...

...Irene Adler is Moriarty!

Dormer's character will be unveiled as the brilliant criminal nemesis when she shoots one of her own henchmen in order to save Holmes's life.

BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH, MARTIN FREEMAN, SHERLOCK: ‘Sherlock’ Season 3 Episode 2 Title May Confirm Watson Romance (SCREEN RANT) by Hannah Shaw-Williams

The producers of popular BBC modern detective show Sherlock have so far been very good at keeping details about the show’s long-awaited third season under wraps. Sherlock - which stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, respectively – recently started filming again in London, Bristol and Cardiff, and the few details we’ve heard so far have almost all come from show creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.

As he did for season 2 of the show, Gatiss revealed three “teaser” words for the next three episode: “rat, wedding, bow.” This has caused months of speculation from fans as to what season 3 might include, and the more recent announcement that the first episode of the season would be titled “The Empty Hearse” (named after Arthur Conan Doyle’s story, “The Adventure of the Empty House”) has also generated a great deal of discussion – particularly around how Holmes plans to make his return, and whether we’ll see James Moriarty’s right-hand man, Sebastian Moran, in an antagonist role.

Now it’s time to get ready for a lot more speculation. According to the Radio Times, Moffat and Gatiss have today revealed that the title of the second episode will be “The Sign of Three”, though they declined to offer any specific plot details about the episode, which will be filmed back-to-back with “The Empty Hearse” this spring. The script for the episode was written by Steven Thompson, who also penned season 2′s shocking finale, “The Reichenbach Fall”.

Jessica Chastain, Dan Stevens, and Cast of Broadway's The Heiress Meet the Press By David Gordon (THEATER MANIA)

Jessica Chastain, Dan Stevens, David Strathairn, Judith Ivey, and additional cast members of the Broadway revival of Ruth & Augustus Goetz's The Heiress met the press Thursday, September 13 at the Empire Hotel. The production, directed by Moises Kaufman, begins previews October 6 at the Walter Kerr Theatre in advance of a November 1 opening.

The cast also includes Molly Camp, Kieran Campion, Virginia Kull, Ben Livingston, Dee Nelson, and Caitlin O'Connell.

The play centers on Chastain's character, who is caught between her steely, controlling father (played by Strathairn) and a mysterious, handsome suitor (Stevens).

The reluctant heir to Downton Abbey has made it ashore in New York, where he’s about to both court and star in Broadway's “The Heiress."

In a column published this week in the U.K., Dan Stevens ruminated on his Labor Day arrival stateside, writing about the "discombobulation" that occurs when one finds oneself landing “in a foreign field” (i.e., Manhattan) during a change of seasons.

“Everyone desperately leaps for the summit of summer before the inevitable descent into winter. I can see why they call it ‘fall’ here,” wrote Stevens, best known for playing the scion of the aristocratic Crawley family on Masterpiece's juicy period drama.

I’ve been up in the air a lot recently. Discombobulation is an integral part of relocation.

All those elements of your life that felt so combobulated are thrust skywards, as are you, and you find yourself landing in a foreign field, with few of your possessions, in a heatwave. I was reminded of one of my favourite alternative movie posters this week as we drew into Manhattan for my stint on Broadway: a cartoon Ferris Bueller is speeding down the freeway in a “borrowed” Ferrari for a hedonistic “day off”, while in the other direction stretches a solid trudge of traffic. On Labor Day weekend it seems customary to reverse this image and flee the city en masse, leaving inroads relatively clear, as everyone desperately leaps for the summit of summer before the inevitable descent into winter. I can see why they call it “fall” here.

As I sat in one particular plane taxiing from the terminal the other day it violently juddered to a halt; thankfully still on the ground, at low speed, almost as if an airport cat had crossed the pilot’s path. Nevertheless, something interesting occurred in a cabin where people had previously ignored each other, each of us pretending there were 400 impostors on our “private jet”; we suddenly looked each other in the eye. Instinctively we seemed to say, “If we’re in trouble I suppose we should at least connect.” In the air, of course, this sentiment is only intensified. Airborne or otherwise, if we’re collectively in trouble we should indeed connect.
