Liam Neeson is opening up about the loss of his wife, actress Natasha Richardson, who died in a skiing accident five years ago.

"There's periods now in our New York residence when I hear the door opening, especially the first couple of years ... any time I hear that door opening, I still think I'm going to hear her," Neeson tells Anderson Cooper.

In a clip from an interview to air Sunday night on "60 Minutes," the actor describes the pact he made with his wife and what he said to her as she lay dying in the hospital.

Benedict Cumberbatch goes for the geek chic look as he returns home from New York City

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER
PUBLISHED: 04:12 EST, 22 February 2014 | UPDATED: 05:31 EST, 22 February 2014

Specs appeal: The actor looked a little worse for wear after his transatlantic jaunt

It wouldn't take a world-famous super sleuth and his sidekick to note that Benedict Cumberbatch was sporting a very different look on Friday.

The Sherlock actor, 37, was spotted at London's Heathrow Airport wearing a flat cap and wide-rimmed glasses as he arrived home from New York City.

And, while he cut something of an English gent figure, he also looked worse for wear from his seven-hour transatlantic journey.

Wearing a T-shirt with a chunky knit cardigan, the popular performer was a vision in brown as he walked through the arrivals lounge in what appeared to be country life apparel.

Perhaps feeling the weight of his luggage, he also appeared to be perspiring as he navigated himself through fellow travellers.

Interestingly, it looked as though Benedict had enjoyed some winter sports while on America's east coast as he carried snowboaring equipment.

‘Downton Abbey’ Season 5 SPOILERS: Twins Cast To Play ****** Baby Daughter; Filming Begins With New Cast Members

FASHION AND STYLE

Downton Abbey

There are, or will soon be, two new little members of the “Downton Abbey” cast: a Twitter user revealed that “Downton Abbey” began filming this week and that the show held auditions for twin baby girls to play Edith’s daughter.

A Twitter source told Wetpaint, “filming starts this week until August. Edith returns with her baby. I know this because my twins had an audition!”

Another new actor on the show, Richard E. Grant, revealed that Season 5 had begun filming on Twitter.

“First day on DOWNTON ABBEY duty. Was downstairs in GOSFORD PARK. Been promoted upstairs. Progress? Will wait and see,” Grant tweeted on February 15.

He also tweeted a picture of part of his costume: a pair of black leather gloves. “Must be true ‘cos they’ve got my name on it,” he wrote.

As we previously reported, Grant – who has appeared on “Girls” and “Doctor Who” – will play a character named Simon Bricker, who visits Downton as a guest of the Granthams. He was one of three new cast members revealed earlier this week.

Anna Chancellor (“Hysteria,” “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”) will play Lady Anstruther, in a guest role.

Rade Sherbedgia (“The Legend of Hercules,” “In The Land of Blood and Honey”) will play Kuragin, a Russian refugee who has fled the Russian revolution after WWII.

The Ultimate Conflict: Benedict Cumberbatch Vs. Tom Hiddleston

SO FEMININE

Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch are beloved by the world and are similar in many ways. They both have beautiful British mannerisms, wicked sense of humours, and are by no means afraid to mock themselves. Oh, we probably shouldn’t forget to mention that they are both unbelievably sexy. But who comes out on top in the battle of the sexiest upper middle class actors with voices of velvet?

Top Impressions
Benedict Cumberbatch impersonating Alan Rickman and Chewbacca and Graham Norton. ‘Nuff said.

But... Tom Hiddleston could win an Oscar with his impression of Owen Wilson. He does Alan Rickman too. And a Velociraptor.

Winner: Benedict Cumberbatch. Even Harrison Ford was impressed with his rendition of Chewy.

Top Pranks
It looks like Benedict Cumberbatch is more the prankee than the pranker – during the filming of Star Trek, Simon Pegg told Benny that he had to wear dots of cream of his face to neutralise the neutrons and he BELIEVED IT.

Tom Hiddleston is quite the prankster prince with his “Loki’d” ways – basically in a skit he goes out of his way to prank his friend Josh Horowitz by doing things like giving him decaffeinated coffee and paying for his lunch. LOKI’D!

Winner: Tom Hiddleston

Sexiest Dancing
Benedict Cumberbatch loves to dance, and there’s a particularly hilarious video of him grooving along to Thriller. Of course we can’t ignore his ballet skills in series 3 of Sherlock as well, rocking that pirouette Benedict. Great job.

You don’t even need to ask Tom Hiddleston to dance – he’ll just do it. He’s grooved all across the world as fans have fallen deeply in love with his mad moves.

Winner: BOTH. This isn’t against the rules WE MAKE THE RULES.

Evil Prowess
Benedict Cumberbatch played the malevolent Khan in Star Trek: Into Darkness and stirred fear (and adoration) in our hearts with his rage that bubbled just under the surface. There is something distinctly unlovable about Khan though…it might be that he tears heads in half.

Tom Hiddleston shot to fame as fan favourite Loki from the Marvel universe. He’s now played the role of the cheeky God in three movies, and we never want him to stop. Ever.

Winner: Tom Hiddleston

Most Devoted Fanbase
This is a tricky one. Benedict Cumberbatch’s fans affectionately call themselves Cumberbitches and fawn over him like the God that he is (quite rightly). During the Graham Norton show fans came to adore him from Germany, Hong Kong and Nebraska!

Tom Hiddleston’s fans lurve him. You just need to look at Tumblr, though you should be prepared for a whirlwind of gifs at Tom smiling at you. It will be overwhelming. But wonderful. It’s also a little awkward that Loki is a MUCH bigger fanbase than the Marvel good guys.

Winner: Benedict Cumberbitch. *batch.

ENTERTAINMENT WISE
By Deepika Rajani On February 20, 2014

The final episode of the fourth series saw Lady Mary battling with the affections of two men. But could the new series - set to air later this year - be the series that Mary finally chooses between Lord Gillingham and Charles Blake?

Well it could definitely be a possibility after the characters Lady Mary, played by Michelle Dockery and Lord Gillingham, played by Tom Cullen, were spotted getting very close whilst filming scenes for the hit ITV period drama.

In the pictures, Michelle's Lady Mary could be seen wearing a blue coat with fur trim, with a matching flapper hat as she walked alongside Tom's Lord Gillingham and as the couple stood on the pavement, they kissed.

Speaking of the scenes, The Sun reported an onlooker noting: "The scenes looked very cosy. There was an affection there that you would expect from a couple in a relationship.

"But who knows what is in store for them next series."

By Daniel S Levine, 2/20/2014

After years of production delays, Warner Bros.’ film adaptation of the hit 1960s spy series The Man from U.N.C.L.E. will finally hit the big screen next year. The movie was directed by one of the studio’s favorite directors, Guy Ritchie.

The studio has set the film for Jan. 16, 2015, notes Variety. Production on the project has been underway since September, with shooting taking place on location in London and Italy. It will cover the first mission for American spy Napoleon Solo and Soviet spy Illya Kuryakin.

Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill was cast as Napoleon Solo, the role Tom Cruise was supposed to have at one point. The Lone Ranger’s Armie Hammer will play Illya Kuryakin. Hugh Grant also has a role in the film.

At one point, the movie was also set to be directed by Steven Soderbergh and starred George Clooney, but that also never materialized. Soderbergh ended up being replaced by Ritchie, who directed the Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes moves for Warner Bros.

Lupita Nyong’o & Michael Fassbender Share A ‘Losers Selfie’ On Instagram #ingoodcompany

Altho actress Lupita Nyong’o didn’t win a BAFTA award, it looks like she had an amazing time at the awards show in London last night nonetheless. Lupita shared a few fun photos on her official Instagram profile from the BAFTAs last night, including a “losers selfie” that she snapped with her co-star and fellow BAFTA loser Michael Fassbender. BUT, because Lupita‘s film 12 Years A Slave was honored with the award for Best Film, she really can’t call herself a loser at all … she is a flawless queen, plain and simple.

With season three of popular BBC show "Sherlock" wrapped, many are wondering what is in store for the upcoming fourth season. For fans who cannot wait until the next season premieres to find out what's in store for the show read on. Executive producer Steven Moffat has recently provided some spoilers.

Steven Moffat spoke with TV Guide in an interview, where he revealed some teasers about Sherlock's potential friendships romantic life.

Moffat said Molly will have an increased role next season. "I think she's become quite an important part of the show. One of the difficulties in adapting Sherlock Holmes... [is that] there are no women in Sherlock Holmes, the original stories. You really don't have the female perspective on them. And they're slightly flat when they turn up. And yet, every time we bring a woman into Sherlock, it works hugely well," he said.

Rob James-Collier on Being Downton Abbey’s Edwardian Sex Pest and His Smoking Skills

VULTURE
By Denise Martin

Thomas has been off his game all season on Downton Abbey. At best, he got Cora thinking O’Brien wanted to leave her position, and at worst, he outed himself to the house by kissing Jimmy. But of course, Thomas found himself on top once more, saved by Bates, and even promoted above him. Rob James-Collier, who plays the diabolical footman, said his brush with near-termination won’t have much of a lasting effect. “Saving Thomas, it’s the worst thing that could have happened to Bates,” he said. Vulture spoke with the 36-year-old actor while he was out in Los Angeles about Thomas’ lovesick arc, run-ins with his fans, and what the servants do for fun downstairs. (Or not.)

Hey. How are you?

Hi, how are you doing? I know I look like a drug dealer because I’ve got two phones right now. In England drug dealers have two phones. But this one’s for America and this one’s me English phone. I’m not going to be selling crack while we have the interview though.

That’s good. I don’t judge.

You condone the sale of crack? Sorry, where do you write for?

Vulture. We make Downton Abbey paper dolls.

You did the Thomas and O’Brien cut-out kit?

That’s us.

Can I get one of them? I’ve not got one. I want to frame it and put it up on my wall. Someone sent Siobhan [who plays Ms. O’Brien] a photo of it and I want a proper one. Can you make that happen?

I’ll do my best. But for now, I want to talk about the dastardly way Thomas smokes. Is that how you normally smoke?

I don’t even smoke! If you watch from seasons one to three, my smoking is terrible in the first year. There was a scene in season two where I took it so deep, I said a paragraph’s worth of dialogue and five lines after that smoke was still coming out my mouth. I do use it for dramatic effect, totally. Others might say it’s “Rob, you can’t remember your lines, so you take a take drag on your cigarette until the line comes into your head.” And let’s be honest: I think it looks good on screen. I need all the help I can get. It’s like having your own lighting on stage. Foggy lighting. It makes him mysterious.

‘Downton Abbey’ Season 5 SPOILERS: ‘Girls’ Actor Richard E. Grant, Others Join Cast List; Will ******** Leave The Show?

FASHION AND STYLE

New cast members have been announced for “Downton Abbey” Season 5 – and that’s good news, because new rumors say that Michelle Dockery may leave the show after the season.

Deadline reports that Richard E. Grant, who has had multi-arc guest starring runs on shows including “Girls” and “Doctor Who,” will play Simon Bricker, who visits Downton as a guest of the Granthams.

“We are delighted to welcome these talented actors to the world of Downton,” said executive producer Gareth Neame. “The characters they play are set to bring yet more excitement and intrigue to the show.”

Returning guest cast members Dame Harriet Walter (Lady Shackleton) and Peter Egan (Lord Flintshire) are also set to reprise their roles.

The new actors may be needed, as new rumors suggest that star Michelle Dockery is considering leaving “Downton Abbey” to pursue a film career.

A source told the Daily Mail that Dockery, 32, will return to “Downton,” but that Season 5 will be her last.

“Michelle loves Downton, but things are taking off for her and the TV filming schedule is seven months long, leaving little time for anything else,” the source said.

“She’s the talk of Hollywood. Steven Spielberg is said to have asked for a meeting.”

Downton Abbey star Allen Leech denies being bullied as a child

THE SYDNEY MORNING HERALD
February 17, 2014 - 11:49AM

Braving the myths on his Wikipedia page ... Allen Leech (Tom Branson on?Downton?Abbey) denies being bullied.

Downton Abbey star Allen Leech wants to set the record straight. He was never bullied as a child nor was he a "crippling" shy kid.

In fact, the online encyclopedia Wikipedia has got his childhood all wrong, he says.

His Wikipedia page suggests Leech was cast as the Cowardly Lion in a school production of The Wizard Of Oz because needed his own badge of courage.

The Wikipedia entry says UK actor was "bullied", "introverted" and "refused to go out the front door" of his Irish home.

Leech says he's been trying to hose down the story ever since it appeared but the myth keeps popping up during interviews for the Seven Network series Downton Abbey.

He says playing the Cowardly Lion definitely gave him the taste for an acting career but the choice of role had nothing to do with being shy.

"Playing the Lion was the first time I did any acting and during an interview years ago, a reporter latched on to that and made it up about me being shy and bullied as a kid," Leech says.

"It's just not true and I'm delighted I can set this right.

"I was never like that and I was actually a very confident kid and the reason I got the part was that I was outgoing and always up for a laugh even at that age.

"I told my agent to take it down because its's ridiculous."

BAFTA Awards: ‘12 Years A Slave’ Wins Best Film But ‘Gravity’ Carries Most Weight With Six Total Nods; Chiwetel Ejiofor & Cate Blanchett Take Actor Wins; ‘American Hustle’ Scores 3 Including For Jennifer Lawrence

DEADLINE LONDON

The EE British Academy Film Awards: Dinner - Red Carpet ArrivalsEE British Academy Film Awards 2014 - Winners Room

Steve McQueen’s 12 Years A Slave rallied from a slow stat to win the Best Film award tonight at the 62nd BAFTA Film Awards in London. The slave drama from Fox Searchlight had 10 nominations but won just two awards, after Chiwetel Ejiofor took the Leading Actor prize for playing Solomon Northrup. Despite the marquee victory in the last major kudofest before the Oscars, it still seemed as though the night belonged to Warner Bros’ Gravity. The space drama picked up a leading six wins from its 11 overall nominations, including for Outstanding British Film — which will keep the debate going about just how British the pic is. Alfonso Cuaron won Best Director and the pic cleaned up in the craft categories, taking Sound, Cinematography and Special Visual Effects in addition to a nod for Steven Price’s Original Score. The BAFTA crowd at the packed Royal Opera House in Covent Garden exploded with each win for the movie, which had a leading 11 nominations going into the night.

Still, the 12 Years A Slave victory tonight maintains the film’s front-runner status going into the Oscars on March 2; the film also won the Golden Globe for Motion Picture-Drama. Many feel the Academy will lean the same way, honoring Gravity in the craft categories but not for the Best Picture. The two films have been going head to head all awards season, even scrapping to a rare tie in the PGA Awards contest. “It’s very important,” McQueen said backstage after the victory. “The way the public here — but not just here, in the U.S. — by going to see the picture, means a hell of a lot.” Added producer Brad Pitt: “This is an excuse for us to all get to gather and say job well done. We’re very proud of our work here, and it means a lot to us because of the people we got to work with.”

Jeremy Piven Reveals His Love for Tom Hardy's Balls in 'Fault'!

JUST JARED
February 13, 2014

On his acting idols: “The first person to come to mind would be Javier Bardem. He never lets you down. He’s a complete and utter inspiration. I like Tom Hardy’s balls. I mean not literally, I’ve never seen Tom Hardy’s balls, just for the record. We worked together in Black Hawk Down and he’s a gamer, he’s always up for it, he’s fearless and he’s really fun to watch as well. Mark Rylance – I was lucky enough to see him on stage in Twelfth Night and I hope to see him in Richard III in New York. He’s completely improvisational, totally alive on stage doing Shakespeare.”

Shocking Reason Behind Benedict Cumberbatch’s Animal Attraction (Exclusive Video)

THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
By DRESDEN SHUMAKER | February 15th, 2014 at 6:35 pm

Ever found yourself staring at Benedict Cumberbatch and wondering what makes the guy so attractive? (I mean, a little staring is harmless, right?) Don’t worry, turns out Benedict Cumberbatch has been wondering why we think he is cute too. In a clip from the first episode of In Conversation, the brand new partnership of BAFTA and The Hollywood Reporter, Benedict does what he does best. He charms the pants off of everyone. Seriously. If you could see the audience I bet they are all pant- free. It happens. Goodness knows I get it.

Scott Feinberg, who does a great job getting Benedict to keep talking, brings up that there is a sense that Benedict is timeless. Benedict says, “It’s the blessing of having a weird face — somewhere between an otter and something people find vaguely attractive.” He goes on to say:

“I have kind of grown up with this face and it has been in the industry for ten years and now it is getting on these hottie lists. I just kind of go…it just doesn’t make any sense because I was nowhere near the 1000th hottest face when I started out. I know a lot of it is projecting, which is flattering about the work I suppose.” He continues, “I am not a typical beauty, so basically I’ve got a long neck and a long face. That’s usually period, that’s usually some kind of in-breeding weirdness. So…I’ll run with that. I’ll wear some high collars and get on a horse.”

And we will thank you for that Benedict Cumberbatch, oh yes we will.

The complete episode of In Conversation will be available on The Hollywood reporter later this week. I can’t wait to hear what else Scott gets out of the actor.
