Clive Owen Will Lust For Younger Student In Novel Adaptation Blue Angel 2013-02-09 11:00:58 Author: Nick Venable (CINEMA BLEND)
According to Variety, international sales are going on for Richard Levine’s Blue Angel adapted from Francine Prose’s wicked novel of the same name, which stars Clive Owen in the leading role. Owen’s career has been steady, with the action Killer Elite and the creepy Spanish horror Intruders as two of his more recent efforts. He’ll soon be seen in the brotherly Brooklyn crime drama Blood Ties. None of that sounds anything like what his Blue Angel character is in for.
Owen will play Swenson, a New England college’s creative writing professor brought down by jadedness and dead-end students. Then someone with writing skill joins his class, and she happens to be attractive, tattooed, and everything Swenson needs in his life. And then they develop a completely platonic relationship and go about their separate lives. Or maybe something a little more controversial actually happens.

Hugh Grant gets an apology from Murdoch Duchess of York and Christopher Eccleston also settle hacking cases in High Court JAMES CUSICK (INDEPENDENT)
The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, actors Hugh Grant and Christopher Eccleston, and the Catholic parish priest of singer Charlotte Church, Father Richard Reardon, were among 17 phone-hacking victims offered public apologies in the High Court today by News International.
The “sincere” contrition and undisclosed “substantial” damages for a total of 144 cases, means that 26 victims of the News of the World’s illegal phone-hacking activities, have yet to settle with Rupert Murdoch’s UK newspaper division in the latest wave of claims.
Among the claimants who opted for a court-room apology were singer James Blunt, Uri Geller, Geoffrey Robinson, the former Labour minister, and Colin Stagg, the man wrongly accused of the murder of Rachel Nickell. Mr Stagg, one of the few to have his damages disclosed, was awarded £15,500.
Those who settled, but opted to keep the terms of the arrangement private, included Cherie Blair QC, the wife of the former prime minister, Ukip leader Nigel Farage, TV presenters Jamie Theakston and Chris Tarrant, Ted Beckham, the father of the former England football captain, former Tory minister Lord Blencathra, actor James Nesbitt, footballer Wayne Rooney, and BBC reporter Tom Mangold.

JAMES PUREFOY: 'The Following': Joe Carroll Gets Under Ryan Hardy's Skin (Exclusive Video) 12:55 PM PST 2/8/2013 by Philiana Ng (THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER)
In a scene from Monday's The Following, exclusive to The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan (Kevin Bacon) squares off against notorious serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) to get information from Joe about Maggie's (Virginia Kull) connection to the location of Claire Matthews' (Natalie Zea) kidnapped son Joey.
Ryan and Joe have a lot of history, the origin of which is established in this past Monday's episode, but the interrogation in "Mad Love" is still fraught with tension.

'50 Shades of Grey' Movie: Henry Cavill and Emilia Clarke as Ana and Christian? February 07, 2013 11:40 PM EST (ENTERTAINMENT)
Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel also made the list, and it's not hard to see why they're a favorite couple—they've been featured together in a few very popular fan-made trailers. However, they might be a little too old to play Christian and Ana since they're both in their thirties.
This leaves Henry Cavill and Emilia Clarke as the best pairing. Henry is closer to being the right age to play Christian than Matt Bomer and Ian Somerhalder, and Emilia is the only actress out of the three on the list who has experience doing nude scenes. The 50 Shades film might even attract a crowd that's made up of more than lusty ladies if they get cast together—what geek wouldn't want to see the worlds of Game of Thrones and Man of Steel collide? Superman and Daenerys Targaryen would certainly make a powerful and pretty pair. And perhaps Henry and Emilia would bond over their shared experience of starring in throne-related TV series—Henry starred in The Tudors, which was about the life of King Henry VIII.
So do you think that Henry Cavill and Emilia Clarke would make the best 50 Shades pair?

Colin Firth: What Are You Doing...Yum...Happy Early Valentine's Day!!!!
Alec Guinness personal letters and diaries acquired by British Library Archive of theatre knight, famed for Ealing comedies, reveal Pooterish moments and brickbats for Sir Laurence (THE GUARDIAN)
Maev Kennedy
The Guardian,
On July 12 1989, one of the greatest actors of his generation was reflecting in his diary on the death of another. If Sir Alec Guinness's thoughts/words of praise for Sir Laurence Olivier were extracted, as theatre promoters routinely do with critics' write-ups, it could read as a rave review.
The full text, revealed for the first time in the actor's personal archive just acquired by the British Library, tells a different story. In his impeccably neat tiny script, Guinness wrote of Olivier: "I greatly admired his extraordinary courage … as a comedian he was superb … technically brilliant … he was a great actor."
But he also wrote: "Like so many people whose ambition drive them to great eminence, he had a cruel and destructive streak. Side by side with his generosity, he could be unpleasant, possibly even vindictive. Consciously or not, he made attempts to destroy John G [Gielgud], [Michael] Redgrave, [Paul] Scofield and if he had been given the chance, me."
The theatre knights meet again in the library. The vaults also hold the archives of Olivier, Gielgud, and an actor of whom Guinness writes with uncomplicated affection, Ralph Richardson.
Olivier and Guinness were near contemporaries, born respectively in 1907 and 1914, and met constantly on stage and elsewhere over more than half a century.
Guinness said: "There was a touch of pretension about him, and his public speeches were fulsome and awful. I first met him in 1935, in Romeo and Juliet. We all thought he looked and behaved like the leader of a dance band. But his Romeo was as arresting and beautiful as his Mercutio was vulgar and gimmicky."
That production was famous for the fact that Olivier and Gielgud opened as Romeo and Mercutio respectively, and then swapped roles.
Guinness conceded: "Many of us were … too admiring of John to value Larry's qualities fairly." However, he then added a snide line recalling: "The sniggers that went round when he said, during a rehearsal I think, of the procession at George V's jubilee … 'I had a wonderful view of the whole corsage'."
Guinness was unforgettable in a string of classic Ealing comedies, including Kind Hearts and Coronets in which he played eight different characters, and for his long collaboration with the director David Lean, including with the film The Bridge on the River Kwai in 1957, for which he won an Oscar.
He was also acclaimed as John le Carre's spy George Smiley, in the television adaptation of the novels. However to fans of a certain age his true stardom came in the 1970s, as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original Star Wars trilogy.

Luke Evans: How to get BAFTA worthy black tie with Jeremy Hackett & Luke Evans By Nick Carvell Photos by Michael Gray 08 February 13 (GQ)
"I'm more of a single-breasted man," Luke Evans tells GQ as he browses the dinner suits hanging from the rails in Hackett's elegant three-storey store on London's Sloane Street. Having starred in Hollywood blockbusters such as Immortals and Clash of the Titans, as well as well-received Brit flick Tamara Drewe, Evans isn't exactly a first timer when it comes to premiere-standard black tie. For the BAFTAs on Sunday night, the English tailor has not only been selected by the 33 year old Welsh actor, but also by the Academy as the sole menswear sponsor for the event. Here go behind the scenes at Luke Evans' BAFTA fitting, accompanied by expert recommendations from Jeremy Hackett…

« Colin Firth + Michael Fassbender = ‘Genius’ By Brigid Brown | Posted on Friday, February 8th, 2013 (BBC AMERICA)
Colin Firth (The King’s Speech) and Michael Fassbender (Shame) are shopping around their film Genius with The Weinsten Company in the UK being the first buyer, reports The Hollywod Reporter.
The film is based on the National Book Award-winning biography Max Perkins: Editor of Genius revolving around the relationship between literary phenom Thomas Wolfe (Fassbender) and famed editor Max Perkins (Firth) who shared a “tender, complex friendship” that changed the course of both of their lives.
Wolfe’s first novel, Look Homeward, Angel: A Story of the Buried Life, is described by Amazon.com as a coming-of-age story about “a young man’s burning desire to leave his small town and tumultuous family in search of a better life, in 1929.” It’s written in stream of consciousness and believed to be based on Wolfe’s own life.

Benedict Cumberbatch: Star Trek (HUGE SPOILER from EW???) (FLICKERING MYTH)
New Star Trek Into Darkness images, and Benedict Cumberbatch's bad guy finally revealed?
Thursday, 7 February 2013
Yes, according to the description for this week's EW cover, Cumberbatch will be portraying none other than the 20th century warlord Khan Noonien Singh, who was of course portrayed by Ricardo Montalban in the Star Trek: TOS episode 'Space Seed' and 1982's Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Naturally, there is the possibility that EW has made a mistake (and either way, I imagine that's the line that Paramount Pictures will take), but of all the rumours about the identity of the film's antagonist, Khan's name has popped up most frequently, and considering the hints in the theatrical trailer, it shouldn't come as much surprise if this does turn out to be the case. So, does this mean the mystery has finally been solved, and if so, what the hell is Khan doing in a Starfleet uniform?

Daniel Day-Lewis likely to win Best Actor Oscar Reuters | 18 hours ago
Daniel Day Lewis with his award for best actor in a motion picture drama for “Lincoln” during the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Jan. 13, 2013, in Beverly Hills, Calif.–Photo by AP
LOS ANGELES: Daniel Day-Lewis is expected to make Hollywood history by winning his third Best Actor Oscar on Feb. 24 but the public is split over who deserves the Best Supporting Actor prize, a Reuters poll showed.
Day-Lewis, 55, has already picked up almost every major award this season for playing US President Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg’s Civil War-era drama “Lincoln” and he is front-runner for the top British BAFTA award on Feb. 10.
A Reuters Ipsos poll of 909 Americans found 21 per cent thought British-born Day-Lewis, 55, should win and 26 per cent said he was most likely to win Best Actor at the Oscars for Lincoln, a role he assumed both off and on set during filming.
He is up against Hugh Jackman, who came second in the Reuters poll for musical “Les Miserables,” Bradley Cooper in the quirky romance “Silver Linings Playbook,” Joaquin Phoenix in cult drama “The Master” and Denzel Washington as an alcoholic pilot in “Flight.”
If Day-Lewis does win, he will be the first man to take home the Best Actor statue three times, having won the award in 1990 for playing severely disabled Irish artist Christy Brown in “My Left Foot” and in 2008 for his role as oil prospector Daniel Plainview in “There Will be Blood.”
But Day-Lewis, who chooses his roles carefully and has only appeared in 10 films in the past 20 years, was not taking a win for granted. It took Spielberg three attempts to persuade him to sign up for the lead role in “Lincoln.”
“Members of the Academy love surprises, so about the worst thing that can happen to you is if you’ve built up an expectation,” the actor told reporters after winning the Screen Actors Guild trophy in Los Angeles last week.

Colin Firth, Michael Fassbender's 'Genius' Sells Around the World (Exclusive) (THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER)
The film recounts the real-life relationship between literary giant Thomas Wolfe and renowned editor Max Perkins.
BERLIN -- Colin Firth and Michael Fassbender's Genius -- based on A. Scott Berg's National Book Award-winning biography Max Perkins: Editor of Genius -- is sparking avid interest among independent distributors.
FilmNation has sold the film in a raft of key foreign territories, including to The Weinstein Co. in the U.K., Australia and New Zealand.
There's no word on whether TWC will buy U.S. rights, but Harvey Weinstein's shop would be a natural fit for Genius, having released the Oscar best picture The King's Speech, for which Firth won the Oscar for best actor. TWC is one of the most aggressive players in the awards space, and Genius could well be a contender considering its pedigree.

Clive Owen is 48 years old & sideburn-y in Paris: could Clive still get it? (CELENEWS)
I will never stop talking about Clive Owen, even if he isn’t in my current Forever Dong rotation. My current rotation is: Benedict Cumberbatch, Kevin Bacon (has anyone else been watching The Following?!?) and Michael Fassbender. It’s been a while since I’ve had a good, dirty fantasy about Clive. It’s been even longer since he wrote me a dirty letter! But even in his absence… Clive could still get it, right? He’s 48 years old, by the way. Aging like a fine wine.
Anyway, these are new photos of Clive at the Paris premiere of his film Shadow Dancer. I believe we had photos of London premiere last year, so I guess this film is coming out in not-so-steady drips. Maybe they’re having distribution problems. Clive looks good, right? He always wears the hell out of a suit, his hair looks decent, and I’m enchanted by his late-in-life sideburns. He still knows how to eye-f—k a camera too.

Is Henry Cavill the Man Of Steel - or the Man Of Smooch? He might be Hollywood's favourite tough guy, but he's been making goo goo eyes at his squeeze Gina Carano after arriving in London.
The Mail Online reports that pair were spotted in a lift at Heathrow looking utterly adorable, after making their first proper appearance as a couple at last month's Critic's Choice awards. They've been dating since September but they've only just made it official.

Colin Firth Joins Before I Go To Sleep A reunion with Nicole Kidman 07 February 2013 | Written by James White (EMPIRE)| Source: Variety
Colin Firth clearly passed muster with Nicole Kidman while starring alongside her in The Railway Man. Because she’s persuaded him to mount a reunion for Rowan Joffe’s thriller Before I Go To Sleep.
Joffe adapted the script from SJ Watson’s eponymous book, and the plot sees a woman with amnesia (Kidman) waking up every morning not knowing who she is. To help her rebuild her life each day, she keeps a journal, and relies on her husband (Firth) for help.
But then she discovers some terrifying new information, which throws everything she knows into question. It remains to be seen what that new information is. Perhaps she’s been scoffing jam on her toast every morning when she really prefers marmalade? Or perhaps it’ll be a little more serious than that.

Tom Hardy To Star In Steven Knight's Shot-In-Real-Time Thriller 'Locke,' Produced By 'Anna Karenina' Director Joe Wright NEWS BY OLIVER LYTTELTON (THE PLAYLIST)
It feels like it's been quite a long time since we saw Tom Hardy on screen. But in fact, he's been working consistently, with five films in the last eighteen months, and the actor's such a chameleon that it's hard to draw a line between Ricky Tarr in "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" and Bane in "The Dark Knight Rises," especially as Hardy spent most of 2012 in Africa shooting the Mad Max movie "Fury Road."
But now that the ever-rising star is done with that, he's lining up all kinds of projects, co-starring with Noomi Rapace in both Michael Roskam's "Animal Rescue" and Daniel Espinosa's "Child 44," working with Doug Liman to climb "Everest" and leading video game adaptation "Splinter Cell." But before any of that, Hardy's going to knock out a quick thriller with an intriguing twist, with Screen Daily announcing that Hardy will top-line "Locke," which will shoot later this month in London.

Mel Gibson and Gerard Butler are best buddies as they spend the day together in Miami By DAILY MAIL REPORTER Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook
And with their complementary outfits of button down shirts and shorts they certainly seemed to be on the same wavelength.
Mel walked close to Gerard, looking him in the eye as they spoke.
The unusual pair had previously been seen enjoying a dinner with friends a few day previously at Zuma in the beachside city.

‘The Borgias’ Season 3 Trailer: Can Only “A Borgia Love A Borgia”? (TV EQUALS)
“It seems only a Borgia can love Borgia.” The sinfully good season three trailer for Showtime’s The Borgias hints that there could be a very literal interpretation of that line awaiting us this year. After two seasons of establishing the close bond (and insane chemistry) between Borgia siblings Lucrezia (Holliday Grainger) and Cesare (Francois Arnaud), the promo strongly hints that the duo’s relationship might finally take on a carnal nature. “It is a game of want and wanting,” Lucrezia tells her brother. The question is will they give in?

Fifty Shades of Henry Cavill, why the 'Man of Steel' is Christian Grey FIFTY SHADES OF GREYFEBRUARY 6, 2013BY: BARBIE KAVETSKY (EXAMINER)
The debate over who should play Christian Grey began the moment the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie was announced and will continue to rage on until Universal Pictures announces the official cast for the film. E L James has said she has a few favorites but it is likely the author, who began as a huge "Twilight" fan, already had an actor in mind while writing the erotic trilogy. When looking at the facts, all signs point to Henry Cavill. On Feb 5, Brits United (THAT'S ME - LEAGUE OF BRITISH ARTISTS - YIKES - GOT THE BLOG NAME WRONG THOUGH) discussed the top 5 reasons Cavill should be cast as Christian Grey, some of which are mentioned here. Yet results on Feb 6 of a Wetpaint poll show the actor in fourth place behind favorites like Ian Somerhalder. This list will delve a little deeper into why Henry Cavill was likely the inspiration for Christian Grey and what makes him perfect for the role. Maybe the poll numbers will begin to shift as a result.

Colin Firth Could Turn Bad Opposite Nicole Kidman In Thriller Before I Go To Sleep 0 Comments published: 2013-02-06 15:14:38 Author: Katey Rich (CINEMA BLEND)
As Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth often wind up adding heft to whatever project they're working on, whether it's Kidman's upcoming lurid thriller Stoker or Firth's presence in A SIngle Man helping get that film made (OK, he wasn't an Oscar winner yet at the time, but he's always been a classy dude). Now Kidman and Firth will have each other to lean on in their high-toned star power, as they team up for the thriller Before I Go To Sleep.
Set to be directed by Rowan Joffe, who made the excellent and under seen Brighton Rock, Before I Go To Sleep follows a woman with amnesia who wakes up every day and must re-start her memories based on a journal. Unlike 50 First Dates, which used basically the same conceit for comedy, this one comes with a dark twist, as she's eventually "forced to question everyone around her." Variety writes that Firth will be playing Kidman's husband, and I'm hoping he's in on the scheme-- with such an ironclad reputation as a nice guy, Firth is way overdue to play a really vicious baddie.

Sean Bean to co-star in the Wachowskis' Jupiter Ascending as a guy who doesn't die for at least a little while (AV CLUB)
Sean Bean, annoyed with the tedium of momentarily not being dead.
By Sean O'Neal February 6, 2013
Fresh off his casting in TNT’s Legends as a guy who is probably alive for at least a reasonable amount of time, Sean Bean has landed a role in Jupiter Ascending, the next top-secret and likely a little goofy sci-fi project from Lana and Andy Wachowski. Bean joins previously confirmed stars Mila Kunis, as—according to the typically convoluted plot description that looks terrible when it's all written out like this—a Russian immigrant cleaning lady who shares the same DNA with the Queen of the Universe, and Channing Tatum as the bounty hunter the Queen dispatches to kill Kunis, only to fall in love with her, Snow White-style-but-in-space.

MOST HANDSOME HERO FROM PERIOD DRAMAS Our favourite gents from film and TV (STYLIST)
Richard Armitage
***The Winner***
When it comes to escapism, there's nothing quite like a period drama - especially when that drama features a handsome brooding hero who knows his way around a horse and wears a pair of breeches particularly well.
With a new series of Downton Abbey back on our screens (ITV1, Sundays at 9pm), we've taken a look at our favourite leading men from period dramas past and present in the gallery below. Prepare to imagine yourself at a debutante ball or running across some moody moors...

Colin Firth To Play Kidman’s Evil Husband In ‘Before I Go to Sleep’ MOVIES (BLOODY DISGUSTING)
Devil’s Knott‘s Colin Firth, pictured, is confirmed to star with Nicole Kidman in Rowan Joffe’s thriller Before I Go to Sleep for Scott Free and Millennium Films, Variety reports.
Firth will play Kidman’s husband in the film, which also stars Mark Strong and Anne-Marie Duff.
“Story follows a north London woman (Kidman) who wakes up every morning remembering nothing. Her husband tells her she suffered a trauma, and that she dare not leave home. She sneaks off to a doctor (Strong) who gives her a small digital recorder and urges her to play back her thoughts day after day in hopes of re-integrating her mind. She does and it works, and that’s when she comes to realize that the man sleeping next to her isn’t her husband.”

Ripper Street TV Review: Ripper Street, ‘Tournament Of Shadows’ February 5, 2013 Stu Whittaker (WHATCULTURE) (SPOILERS, AS USUAL, FOR US)
After last weeks enticing episode, ‘The Weight of One Man’s Heart’, Detective Sergeant Bennet Drake (Jerome Flynn) had his story told. Revealing his past indiscretions during the Anglo-Egyptian War of 1882 let us understand Drake’s character leaving just Captain Homer Jackson (Adam Rothenberg) and Detective Edmund Reid (Matthew Macfadyen) to have their pasts revealed. This week offered varying parts to add to the ever growing picture of both of the characters jigsaw puzzle past but didn’t allow us what we grasp for, that will be left to the final two episodes. ‘Tournament of Shadows’ offer something different to what you might expect from Ripper Street, stepping from the toll of murder as the greed and despicable desire of a man controlled by lust, money and revenge, Ripper Street went political with the depiction of anarchists, unionists, spies and double agents; all surrounding the London Dock Strike of 1889. The ability of the writers to create eight episodes that differ so vastly, on scale of not only plot but emotion and draw, is staggeringly spectacular.
Beginning with a death of a seemingly unimportant person as we have come to know from Ripper Street, a Jewish man is killed in what is claimed to be an accidental explosion but it is not only the explosion that is not what it seems. The victim, Joshua Bloom (Ferdinand Kingsley), is actually an anarchist who was being watched by Special Branch. Linked with the striking workers, Bloom is classed as a disease by Commissioner James Monro (Michael McElhatton), who claims that, “None of us are safe from this leftist cancer.” Reid holds a degree of sympathy to the workers for he acknowledges their rights to strike for better pay and that it is simply a handful of trouble makers to spoil the unionists image. Things grow ever more suspicious as Bloom is shown to have been killed before the bomb exploded. Reid’s story spirals through unionists, radicals anarchists, Russian spies, corruption, racism and the fear of the left.
Jackson is forced to go undercover as a striker due to his history as a Pinkerton, causing a rift between he and Reid to widen as he opposes the idea and Reid threatens to arrest him if he does not comply. This has been common place over the last few weeks as their completely different personalities have clashed, a feature that in my mind looks to be leading to the climax as to Jackson’s story. Don’t get me wrong for I really enjoy the interactions and overall make-up of our H Division triple entente but what, in my eyes, constitutes the excitement of our leads is their differences; see Jackson’s purpose of being a ‘whore-mongering,’ boozing, layabout contrasting the straight-faced, law upholding personas of Reid and Drake which causes frays to form in their friendship, if you can call it so.

Cancer survivor Megan, 8, stars in film alongside James McAvoy 6 Feb 2013 09:18 LITTLE Megan has fought a kidney tumour and is now appearing in Irvine Welsh film, Filth as the onscreen daughter of McAvoy. (DAILY RECORD)
BRAVE youngster Megan Finn has battled back from a kidney tumour to film a movie in Sweden with Hollywood star James McAvoy.
Howwood girl Megan, eight, will appear in the film adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s Filth as the daughter of main character Bruce Robertson, played by McAvoy.
She filmed scenes in Sweden last March after auditioning for the part at Film City Glasgow, in Govan.
Her mum Lesley, 37, said: “Megan is with an agency and has already been in photos for a brochure for Stirling Castle and in a TV ad for a toy called Princess Fizz.
“In January last year, she auditioned with hundreds of kids from up and down Scotland for Filth.
“She auditioned twice and had to sing a song and be kind of full of expressions. That was it – they just liked her and she got the part.
“When she filmed in Sweden James McAvoy was there and she did a scene on set with him. We stayed in the same hotel ... and he was lovely.”

Fifty Shades of Grey: 5 Reasons Henry Cavill should play Christian Grey (INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS TIMES)
Cavill, who has been named as the "biggest male breakout movie star" by Fandango, is expected to be busy with his "Man of Steel" responsibilities in 2013. (The next high-budget Superman film will come out in June this year.) Still, many fans remain hopeful for things to fall in place so Cavill could be both Clark Kent and Christian Grey.
Here are five of the reasons why Cavill is favoured by fans for the controversial Grey role:
5. Theseus. In the film Immortals (2011), Cavill plays the titular hero Theseus, the Greek mythological founder-king of Athens. This character exposed (pun not really intended) Cavill's visual appeal and showcased his acting skills at the same time. Fifty Shades will certainly be easy on the eyes with Cavill in it.
4. The Quiet Gentleman Vibe. Still waters run deep, they say. The first time Anastasia Steele met Grey, he was a man of few words. But he commanded respect despite his obvious youth. Cavill exudes this Grey vibe, particularly in this MSN photo taken at the Critic's Choice Awards in L.A. last week.
3. The Knee-Melting Stare. Christian Grey should be able to draw a woman with a mere glance. Cavill competes with Matt Bomer and Ian Somerhalder (both with piercing enigmatic eyes) in this criterion, but he holds his own.
2. Availability. The schedule would be difficult, but no doubt the managers and producers could work this out. Unlike some actors, Cavill has not shut his doors to playing this very daring role.

'Anna Karenina', 'Life of Pi' and 'Skyfall' Win at the 2013 Art Directors Guild Awards 'Pi' and 'Anna' will take their battle to the Oscars next BY: BRAD BREVET PUBLISHED: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4TH 2013 AT 8:25 AM
My current 2013 Oscar predictions for Best Production Design have Anna Karenina winning with Life of Pi the runner up and if the 2013 Art Directors Guild Award winners have anything to suggest about these predictions it would seem I'm on to something as both films were awarded in the Period and Fantasy categories respectively along with a win for Skyfall in the Contemporary category. Skyfall, however, is not up for an Oscar.

'Downton Abbey' takes on Super Bowl XLVII...and scores a moral victory in ratings battle Period drama draws 6.6 million viewers to 108.4 million for the big game between the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens. BY DAVID HINCKLEY / NEW YORK DAILY NEWS MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2013, 6:30 PM
An original episode of ‘Downton Abbey’ aired against the Super Bowl Sunday night and still averaged 6.6 million viewers.
The Baltimore Ravens couldn't stop the Downton Abbey Crawleys Sunday night, though the American footballers did slow them down a bit.
PBS's phenomenon "Downton Abbey" was one of the few shows that dared to air a new episode opposite the Super Bowl Sunday night, perhaps suspecting it appeals to a different demographic.
