Sean Bean seals his reunion with ex-wife Georgina Sutcliffe as they enjoy a Rome-antic mini-break in Italy By LOUISE SAUNDERS (MAIL ON LINE)

Reunited and it feels so good: Sean Bean and his ex-wife Georgina Sutcliffe confirmed their reunion as they enjoyed a romantic mini-break in Rome, Italy, earlier this week

They've endured a particularly tumultuous relationship to date, culminating in his arrest last year on suspicion of harassment.

But Sean Bean and his ex-wife Georgina Sutcliffe confirmed their reunion once and for all as they enjoyed a romantic mini-break in Rome, Italy, earlier this week.

The couple looked closer than ever as they settled into their new surroundings, and certainly didn't seem shy when it came to making their love for one another known.

Whether it was the romantic surroundings or their recent rekindling of their formerly troubled relationship that sealed the deal, the Game Of Thrones actor and his fourth wife looked utterly besotted as they took a late-night stroll around the picturesque Italian city.

The pair appeared to be in great spirits as they soaked up the atmosphere at Harry's Bar, with the Sheffield-born star smoking a cigarette and glugging a beer as Georgina sipped away on a martini.

Staring into each other's eyes as they shared a joke across the table, the duo seemed more in love than ever as they enjoyed a spot of al fresco dining.

Being Madonna's 'ami necessaire', fancying Colin Firth and liking Alastair Campbell: Rupert Everett on his desert island pictures By RUPERT EVERETT

With Colin Firth on the set of Another Country
Firth among equals, 1984: With Colin Firth on the set of Another Country. Colin had been cast in the role Kenneth Branagh played on stage. At first I quite fancied him, until he produced a guitar and began to sing protest songs between scenes. It took us 20 years to become friends

The farce be with me, 2009: Dreams do come true! Angela Lansbury, Julie Andrews and me backstage at the Shubert Theatre – I performed with Angela for six months in Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit

Fired? No, I quit! 2006: Sitting at a table for Celebrity Apprentice with Ross Kemp, Danny Baker, Alastair Campbell and Piers Morgan. I knew I could not spend four days with these people. I was sitting with the man who’d sexed up the dossier that took us to war in Iraq. Actually he was rather a nice person...

The odd couple, 2000: On the set of The Next Best Thing, with Madonna. The film tore my career to shreds, but for a few short months – when it was made but not seen – I was her ‘ami necessaire’. The world was fascinated by us and so were we

Michael Caine: 'I've become a movie actor, rather than a movie star' Published Saturday, Jun 8 2013, 3:32am EDT | By Justin Harp (DIGITAL SPY)

Sir Michael Caine says some words about Christopher Nolan.

"If you're a movie star, you get the girl, you lose the girl, and then you get her back," Caine said.

"But if you're a character like me, you lose the girl, then you get another one, then you get another one, then you lose them all, then you lose your life. It's all very different. And it's fascinating for me."

He continued: "It's [being] a movie actor, as opposed to movie star. And I remember when it happened to me. A producer sent me a script, and I sent it back and said, 'The part's too small. I don't want to play it'.

"And he sent it back and said, 'I didn't want you to play the lover; I wanted you to play the father'. And I thought, oh my god. I rushed in the bathroom, had a look in the mirror, and there wasn't the lover looking at me: There was the father."

Caine gained international fame for his roles in hit films like Alfie and The Italian Job, and later won two Academy Awards for Hannah and Her Sisters and The Cider House Rules.

James McAvoy Does Many Disgusting Things in Filthy Trailer by Natalie Finn (E)

 James McAvoy, Filth

James McAvoy's latest film is aptly named.

In the international trailer for Filth, based on the novel by Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh, the usually adorable Scottish actor is a not-that-hot mess as Bruce Robertson, a detective who's more punk than peace officer.

For the course of two minutes and 20 seconds, McAvoy smokes, drinks, does and deals drugs, throws up, gets slapped, masturbates, makes a photocopy of his junk, has rough sex with multiple people, unzips his fly in front of a very young woman, and otherwise offers up his best Bad Lieutenant impression.

HENRY CAVILL CONFIRMS HE WILL REPLACE TOM CRUISE IN THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. Jun. 6, 2013by: Alex Maidy (JOBLO)

What a difference a little Superman can make. With MAN OF STEEL looking amazing, Henry Cavill is suddenly being associated with tons of projects. One in particular was recently vacated by Tom Cruise and costars THE LONE RANGER himself, Armie Hammer.

Last week's rumor is this week's reality as MAN OF STEEL star Henry Cavill has confirmed that he is replacing Cruise in THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. remake for director Guy Ritchie. Cavill originally auditioned for the Hammer part and now is taking the lead in the remake of the TV spy series.

The series centered on a two-man troubleshooting team working for U.N.C.L.E.: American Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn), and Georgian (Georgia-USSR) Illya Kuryakin (David McCallum). Leo G. Carroll played Alexander Waverly, the British head of the organization (Number One of Section One). Barbara Moore joined the cast as regular character Lisa Rogers in the fourth season. The chief enemy of the series was THRUSH. So dangerous was the threat from THRUSH that governments—even those most ideologically opposed, such as the United States and the USSR—had cooperated in the formation and operation of U.N.C.L.E. Similarly, on those occasions when Solo and Kuryakin held opposing political views, the friction between them in the storyline was held to a minimum.

DAN STEVENS from Downton Abbey on Graham Norton Show

Hugh Bonneville & Hugh Laurie Being Eyed For The ‘Paddington Bear’ Movie? (FLICKS AND BITS)

hugh bonneville Hugh Bonneville & Hugh Laurie Being Eyed For The Paddington Bear Movie?

According to The Wrap, ‘Downton Abbey’ star Hugh Bonneville is in negotiations to play the live-action lead in the upcoming movie adaptation of ‘Paddington Bear.’ With production scheduled to start this fall, Paul King (The Mighty Boosh) is directing from a script by Hamish McColl (Mr. Bean’s Holiday). Michael Bond’s beloved “Paddington” books have sold more than 35 million copies in 40 languages. The first book in the bestselling children’s series was published in 1958, though the “Paddington” movie will be a modern adaptation that combines live-action with CGI. David Heyman, who shepherded the blockbuster ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, is producing through his Heyday Films banner along with Jeffrey Clifford.

‘Paddington Bear’ finds the titular talking bear traveling from darkest Peru to London’s Paddington Station where he’s taken in by an English family that must protect him from the villainous director of the Museum of Natural History, who happens to be a cold-hearted taxidermist. Hugh Bonneville is making a deal to play Henry Brown, the well-intentioned if somewhat uptight patriarch of Paddington’s new family. The Wrap add the filmmakers would like ‘House’ star Hugh Laurie to voice the role of Paddington but he is not in negotiations at this time, according to individuals familiar with the project. The official synopsis for the upcoming film is as follows.

Benedict Cumberbatch: Is This Keira Knightley's New Leading Man? By Eleanor Young - (MARIE CLAIRE)

Sherlock - Benedict Cumberbatch

Keira Knightley married hubby James Righton in an intimate French ceremony less than a month ago, but already it seems she's preparing to make way for another leading man.

According to rumours, the actress is in talks to team up with Benedict Cumberbatch, in new movie The Imitation Game, about work on the Enigma code in World War Two.

The film version of the Alan Turing biopic was originally rumoured to star Leonardo DiCaprio in the leading male role, although whispers have now turned to British actor Cumberbatch.

Keira Knightley is said to be 'in talks' over the flick, which could start production as early 2014.

It's thought the film, one of the most hotly-tipped scripts to be released in 2011, will be directed by Headhunters' Morten Tyldum and document Turing's role in cracking the Enigma code.

While details are still very vague, film industry publications The Hollywood Reporter and Variety report that Keira could be set to join the cast as ' a woman from a very conservative background who not only forms a complicated relationship with Turing but is there for him until the end'.

Wow.

The Royal Baby Shower: BORN TO RULE - Royal-Spoof Photographer Alison Jackson Already Has Multiple Infants to Play Kate Middleton’s Baby by Bridget Arsenault (VANITY FAIR)

Kate Middleton baby shower

And in the practitioners-of-art department, celebrity-spoof photographer Alison Jackson told us she already has a “royal baby” lined up and ready to go. “We’ve got one with dark hair and one without any hair.” Not too worried about the baby’s gender? “Just a baby in a nappy is quite nice.”

Until the mini-monarch arrives, her focus remains on Kate: “I have about three [Duchess of Cambridge] lookalikes, and one is pregnant. Otherwise we use a silicon pregnant belly. A portable one,” she says. “People are dying to see pictures. I’ve just done one of William trying to keep Kate cool, so he’s spraying her bump with water.” Chic!

Keira Knightley Set To Star With Benedict Cumberbatch In ‘The Imitation Game’ (THE GLOBAL DISPATCH) BY Stephen Nevets

Keira_Knightley

Reports confirm that Keira Knightley is set to star opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in director Morten Tyldum’s (Headhunters) The Imitation Game.

With Cumberbatch in the lead role, Knightley would play “a woman from a very conservative background who not only forms a complicated relationship with Turing but is there for him until the end,” according to THR.

Deadline adds “This is the 2011 Black List script that originally got set at Warner Bros with Leonardo DiCaprio expected to star. In what seems shocking today, the hero was forced to make a radical choice, and he chose chemical castration over prison. He was so demoralized that he eventually committed suicide by eating a cyanide-laced apple. Black Bear is fully financing.”

The story centers on a brilliant British mathematician and cryptographer Alan Turing, and his breaking of the German enigma code at the end of World War II, his prosecution by his own government for being a homosexual and his resulting suicide.

The first photograph of Bonham Carter as Taylor and British actor Dominic West as Burton was released by BBC on Wednesday, ahead of the premiere of “Burton and Taylor” on BBC America in fall this year.

The film’s central focus will be on Taylor and Burton’s appearance as co-stars in a 1983 Broadway revival of Noel Coward’s 1930 risque comedy play “Private Lives.”      In the play, which brought Taylor and Burton together seven years after their second divorce from each other, the former couple portrayed a man and woman having an affair while married to other people.

Taylor, who died from heart failure in 2011 aged 79, became one of the most recognisable Hollywood actresses in the 1950s, famed for her beauty and violet eyes. She was married eight times, twice to Burton.

Henry Cavill to star in The Man From Uncle, with Armie Hammer (USA TODAY) Bryan Alexande

The actor does not buy into a Superman curse ("If anything bad happens to me, it's not because Superman made it happen"). Nor does he fear being stereotyped in the role — a fate that has befallen other actors.

"There is always that risk. But it's a risk I'm glad to take," he says. "The way to break out of that is to do a different role."

To that end, Cavill just signed on to star as a spy in Guy Ritchie's adaptation of The Man From U.N.C.L.E., replacing Tom Cruise, who is no longer associated with the project. He is tight-lipped about his Napoleon Solo role except to say he'll be alongside The Lone Ranger star Armie Hammer, who will play Illya Kuryakin.

"Things are full-steam ahead. It's all very early days. But it's gonna happen," Cavill says before pausing. "Well, this is Hollywood. It's supposed to happen."

He might be understandably cautious, given his history. But Cavill knows he's one Hollywood success story that has taken off after a few scrubbed launches.

"It's like, wow, I've been in this biz for 13 years and worked really hard. I've suffered a lot. And I've put my all into everything I do. And it's so nice to have it come back in such a beautiful way."

As he exits the restaurant, Cavill makes it clear that he plans to repay the kindness.

"I'm going to go fly around a bit," he says as he walks away. "Maybe save some lives."

Henry Cavill: 'Man of Steel' star Henry Cavill needs nerves of steel (video) Bryan Alexander, USA TODA

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. — Henry Cavill wears blue jeans, flip-flops and a T-shirt while walking through a flock of diners at Fishbar restaurant, but it might as well be a form-fitting bodysuit and a red cape.

Maybe it's his stride, physique, deep blue eyes and coiffed dark hair, the guy really does look like Superman, even while relaxing at a beach eatery.

Henry Cavill is your new 'Man of Steel'

"When my hair was longer months ago, you wouldn't have said as much," says Cavill, 30. "But at the moment, yeah, I guess there's a certain resemblance."

This "certain resemblance" was strong enough that director Zack Snyder nabbed the British actor to play the iconic comic-book character in Man of Steel, the much-awaited Superman reboot that hits screens June 14. It was also enough that Cavill was pursued for 2006's Superman Returns, though he lost out to Brandon Routh when the project switched directors.

John Krasinski takes wife Emily Blunt to see his former TV spouse Jenna Fischer's new play By SHYAM DODGE (MAIL ON LINE)

Smiles all around: John and Emily greeted a fellow theatre goer

It's only been a few weeks since the US version of The Office aired its final episode.

But the sitcom's favourite couple Pam and Jim Halpert had a little reunion in New York on Tuesday night.

John Krasinski took his real life spouse Emily Blunt to see Jenna Fischer make a dramatic turn in Neil LaBute's new Off-Broadway play Reasons To Be Happy.

John and Emily appeared to be enjoying the cultured evening out as they leisurely strolled to the Lucille Lortel Theatre in the hip neighbourhood of Greenwich Village.

Despite being married since July 2010, the pair looked like newlyweds as they doted on each other while showing their support for Jenna, 39.

Reasons To Be Happy showcases a dramatic turn in the television sitcom actress' career as she tackles the often challenging material concocted by Tony Award nominated playwright LaBute.

According to MCC theatre, who is producing the satiric drama: 'Reasons to Be Happy is a funny, surprising, and poignant new play about the choices and sacrifices we are willing to make in the pursuit of that often elusive ideal: happiness.'

The Off-Broadway production began previews in mid May and will officially open on June 11.

Is she not with you? Michael Fassbender 'screams' at mystery blonde to keep her distance after going on dates with British Olympian By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Something to hide? Michael Fassbender 'screamed' at a mystery girl to step away from him in Montreal

He's used to female fans screaming his name.

But Michael Fassbender was reportedly the one raising his voice to a girl in Montreal on Saturday.

A source said the 36-year old Irish actor - who is supposedly dating British Olympian Louise Hazel - was walking with the mystery woman, but as soon as he saw a camera he reportedly 'screamed' at her to keep her distance.

Michael wore black jeans and T-shirt, some Toms shoes, and covered his eyes with some aviator sunglasses; but with her hands on her hips, the blonde-haired girl didn't look too impressed with Michael's words.

Wearing a blue cap and a long plait with a loose black vest, skinny jeans and lace-up, peep-toe heels,  she still seemed to follow him off the sidewalk and all the way into another building.

The actor was in Montreal on a day off from filming the latest Marvel installment called X men: Days Of Future's Past where he will be reprising his role of Magneto.

Keira Knightley in talks to co-star with Benedict Cumberbatch in biopic of Enigma code-breaker Alan Turing (INDEPENDENT)

Keira Knightley looks set to join Benedict Cumberbatch in a film based on the life of ground-breaking mathematician and Enigma code-breaker Alan Turing.

The Atonement actress is in talks to play a woman who forms a “complicated relationship” with the code-breaker, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Although details are yet to be released, it is likely that the part Knightley is being touted for is that of Joan Clarke, Turing’s co-worker in Hut 8 at Bletchley Park, a good friend to whom he proposed marriage in 1941.

Graham Moore's screenplay, The Imitation Game, has been commissioned by Black Bear Pictures with Headhunters with Sherlock star Cumberbatch lined up to play Turing.

Turing, who was gay, apparently told Clarke, a fellow mathematician and cryptanalyst, about his sexual preference. But Clarke was “unfazed” by her fiancée’s homosexuality, according to Andrew Hodges’ biography, Alan Turing: The Enigma.

However, Turing decided he could not go through with the marriage and the pair remained good friends until his death.

The mathematician is famed for writing the first blueprint for modern computing. He also invented an electromagnetic machine called the 'bombe' which formed the basis for deciphering Germany’s Enigma codes during the war.

The work Turing and his team did at Bletchley Park has been credited with shortening World War II by as many as two years, but it is only six decades after his death that Turing’s contribution is beginning to be fully acknowledged .

Luke Evans revs up to blockbuster success Published on Monday, 27 May 2013 17:52 Written by Gerard Ramos (BUSINESS MIRROR)

LUKE EVANS surprised not a few among the SRO crowd that packed SM Mall of Asia’s (MOA) Music Hall to catch a glimpse of the stars of the sixth installment of the Hollywood blockbuster franchise Fast & Furious, where the Welsh actor plays the bad guy who goes head-to-head with series regulars Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.

Evans, along with Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Gina Carano, flew into town recently for the worldwide premiere of Fast & Furious 6, directed by Justin Lin, which is basking not only the glow of approval from film critics thrilled by its high-octane thrills (Mick La Salle of the San Francisco Chronicle calls it “a stupid movie made by smart people for smart audiences in the mood for something stupid but glorious, stupid but well-made, stupid but knowing it”), but also a No. 1 opening weekend in North America.

While working fans of the franchise at the MOA, Evans broke into an abbreviated rendition of the classic Filipino love song “Kailangan Kita,” much to the delight and, again, surprise of everyone.

Those familiar with Evans’s résumé were thrilled as well, though it’s doubtful that any of them were surprised. After all, he has not only proven his ability to more than carry a tune in such daunting musicals as Rent, Miss Saigon and Avenue Q, but he also made many friends among the largely Filipino cast in the West End production of the Schönberg-Boublil mega-musical Miss Saigon, where he played Chris, the soldier who unexpectedly finds himself in an ill-starred romance with Kim.

Naturally, his recent Manila visit provided him the opportunity to reconnect with his Filipino friends and Miss Saigon alumni over dinner, including Ima Castro, Jake Macapagal, Jhong Hilario and Miriam Marasigan.

Given his Filipino exposure, there was certainly nothing glad-handing about Evans’s declaration that “there is more talent per square centimeter in the Philippines than any other country”—which Pinoys smarting over Dan Brown’s depiction of life in Manila in his latest blockbuster novel Inferno might find solace in.

The Pinoy’s penchant for breaking into song—even outside the confines of videoke bars—is something that we share with the Welsh, according to Evans, who is “growing” fangs for his upcoming turn as literature’s most infamous vampire in Gary Shore’s retelling of Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

“In Wales, families would gather for dinner and it won’t be long before somebody breaks into a song, which I have been told is also true in Filipino families coming together for whatever occasion,” said Evans at the ballroom of the Fairmont Hotel Makati during a series of interviews with the media from various parts of the region.

Tom Hardy is an Ace Guy, Grants Wish for Cancer-Stricken Young Mother By Kevin Wicks | Posted on May 29th, 2013 (bbca)

In a news cycle that has seen former child stars flinging bongs out of thirty-story windows and barreling through residential neighborhoods at 100 mph, here’s a beautiful example of celebrity kindness: when 23-year-old Kayleigh Duff appeared on the British chat show This Morning to discuss her battle with a rare and terminal form of liver cancer, she mentioned that one of her life wishes was a date with English actor Tom Hardy, star of Inception, The Dark Knight Rises and countless British dramas.

The sister of Hardy’s fiancee Charlotte Riley saw the interview and reached out to the show. Duff’s friend Katie Birch and Charlotte arranged for Hardy to spend some time with the young mother-of-one: “I nearly died when I saw him,” Duff told the Canterbury Times.

“I was shaking — I just thought we were having a day out in London.” She added that “he was so lovely and down to earth. We had lunch and tea and scones and he bought me a diamond necklace.”

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski proved to be the picture of a blissful marriage after arriving on Sunday at JFK Airport in New York City.

The couple held hands, smiled at each other and laughed together while making their way through the airport.
Emily, 30 and John, 33, looked like newlyweds, despite being married since July 2010.

Emily travelled in comfort, wearing skinny jeans and a short sleeve monochromatic, short-sleeved blue shirt.

All seemed routine at the Improvised Shakespeare Company show Friday at iO Theatre until the lights went up and there among the cast was Capt. Picard himself, Patrick Stewart.

The distinguished Shakespearean actor, in Chicago for the Official Star Trek Convention, found time to sit in with the all-male group that vamps an entire play, Bard-style, based on an audience suggestion.

On this night, the title was "The Taming of Winnie-the-Pooh," and the British actor -- no doubt familiar with the tales set in England's Hundred Acre Wood -- fell into the role of Christopher Robin. "He was amazing," said iO owner Charna Halpern. "He didn't miss a beat."

By show's end Stewart had slain the evil King Pooh, won the heart of a maiden (played by company regular Blaine Swen) and inhabited four other characters.

Hugh Bonneville takes wife Lulu Evans on set as he films The Monuments Men... and introduces her to silver fox George Clooney By EMILY SHERIDAN and LOUISE SAUNDERS (MAIL ON LINE)

Leading lady: Hugh Bonneville was joined on the set of The Monuments Men by wife Lulu Evans on Monday afternoon

She was playing the dutiful wife by going to visit her husband, Hugh Bonneville, on the set of his latest movie The Monuments Men.

And Lulu Evans was no doubt thrilled to find herself in the company of none other than Hollywood A-lister George Clooney as the group got to work on location at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, Cambridgeshire.

Hugh, 49, was kitted out in full army regalia as his leading lady arrived on set on Monday afternoon.

The pair seemed to be enjoying themselves as they enjoyed an arm-in-arm stroll around the picturesque countryside location while soaking up the warm afternoon sun.

But it wasn't long before something caught Lulu's eye, and the couple immediately made their way over to join silver fox Clooney in the director's chair.

The Hollywood hunk appeared to be getting on like a house on fire with Bonneville's wife, with the group chatting away together amiably as they relaxed in the sunshine.
